Great place to visit and see the current archaeological process. You can walk around the archaeological digging while visiting the SĂŁo Jorge Castle. There is information written in both English and Portuguese.

Museum that holds quite a number of artifacts from the castle. Entrance is included along with the ticket to the castle. Very informative and detail on how they tried to recover the items and also got some predictive drawings on the part of the artifacts that was not recovered

It is nice. Not big but if you are there already, don't miss it.

It is a great place on the Lisbon hill to visit. Visitors can come here to read the local history and also enjoy the nice view looking down to the river and city. Open space, park, trees and architecture are all very nice.

The castle's beauty was breathtaking, with its towering turrets, intricate stonework, and sweeping views of the surrounding countryside.

Spent a couple of hours here . The botanic gardens are quite vast and I wouldn’t suggest bringing small children here . Some of the cliff drops are steep with no barriers . We enjoyed the variety of plants and the quietness to contemplate. Remember never use Lisbon airport taxi service .

Muy buen museo incluido en la entrada del castillo. Tiene baños y tienda de recuerdos, aunque es extremadamente cara. No tiene amplias exposiciones, pero son de interés al tratarse de objetos muy antiguos.

Very cool museum to learn about the historical issues of the region, I liked it. Free access once inside São Jorge Castle. ⏩️ Discover pittaporai on Instagram!

Not a bad museum. There's quite a few artifacts from the dig site at Sao Jorge Castle along with some history of the castle itself. The nice part is, once you've paid to go into the castle; this part is free.

The museum inside the castle itself is beautiful but minimal. To enter you need an entrance ticket to the castle. Not particularly interesting for the finds but more for the narrated journey on the history of the castle and the city.

no description of what is hidden behind all that, just stones, probably ancient remains, but without a description, it's complicated

Lovely cafe ('sixes') and staff outside! Didn't actually go in the museum, but this is the only indoor shelter in the castle complex.

Interesting stuff, but sadly some of the rooms were closed and you could see that they are running out of money. The stuff isn’t in good condition

Very expensive for so little, a lot of queues even in low season. The view of Lisbon is beautiful but the ticket price is still very expensive.

Es un pequeño museo que reúne restos arqueológicos desde antes de Cristo. Gratis con la entrada del Castillo
