At every step in Lisbon you can come across something that is inextricably linked to history. Just leave the hotel, cross the intersection and go down the tram line No. 24 - along Rua das Amoreiras - to reach the beautiful Arch of the Aqueduct from the mid-18th century. according to the design of the architect Carlos Martel - a Slovak born as Martell Károly in Bratislava. This place is worth remembering when hiking in Lisbon.

I liked the arch, is kinda hidden in the city, nobody tells you about it, but if you're around is worth to have a look.

Not the most interesting thing to see in Lisboa, but it has it's own charm 🥄

ITS FREE. A short walk from principe real or take the 24 trolley from the comoes plaza or the 758 bus from Cais do sodrè. A nice little park right beside it with a pavilion for café etc. with kids playing. A nice family spot to relax away from tourists. The best part is the 18th century aqueduct. If you love history, don’t miss this spot.

Impressive how big it is, and the way it is built for the time. Imposing.. Super photogenic at different times of the day.

Beautiful park with the view of the aqueduct and arches. Cafe in the park is a great spot to relax and chill. Play area for children and not very busy.

I passed this on my way to the aqueduct, interesting in it’s on way. There’s a park beside it too. A good walking distance from the aqueduct.

Beautiful arch located right by the historical aqueduct. A little out of the way, but worth the detour.
