👍👍 What a gem. No laptops allowed is quite a cool statement, already a win itself. No avocadotoasts or eggbenedict #2678 or all the other stuff almost every other place serves, second win. Coffee, food, service and quality exceptional. People often mention coffee, Monka, bread, friendly, nice, great, delicious, staff, pastries, love,

I love this place. I’ve tried here the burnt cheesecake and it appeared to be the best in my life. Also grilled cheese sandwiches is delicious. And the staff are so nice and friendly. Dogs are allowed too.

Hands down a real gem in the community. Not only are they kind and welcoming but the have great pastry, great bread from their own artisanal bakery, and really nice coffee. This is a must on the Lisbon roster. You have to try the morning bun or the cinnacard (if they haven’t sold out yet)!

This is definitely the #1 café, deli, brunch (in Lisboa) whatever else you want to classify this aa. I love when a place gets its product (the food), portioning and price spot on. The focus is good quality food. Everything is so fresh and the service is incredible.

What an incredible spot!!! The Monka cafe is a great little spot to eat homemade style food in a cozy warm and friendly environment. I had a flat white that I would order everyday if I could, and the eggs were amazing. Just sitting there with the smell of all that fresh made bread (the sourdough was perfect) I highly recommend this place for anyone!! Kudos and thank you for a very nice experience!

Lovely staff. Some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. Delicious homemade food. Very small. Unless you get there when it opens you may have to wait. There were lots of locals who had preordered pastries and were coming by to eagerly pick up their treats!

The best place in Lisbon and Portugal. Monka was created from a combination of ultra-rare ingredients in today's world: love for healthy, high-quality, delicious and unique food that gives strength, positive energy, and at the same time fills the heart and stomach with peace and gratitude. I think it is thanks to the exceptional owners and employees, who take care of every aspect of the decor and customer service with great care and commitment. I felt at home there and I wish I could be there every day. I recommend it to anyone, who appreciates peace and great atmosphere, delicious food, specialty coffee and tea (I love their macha tea latte).

Tried their Monka special and Latte. They both were really good and so tasty. I really liked the balance between labneh and tomatoes with pinch of salt😋 This place is cozy also seems dog (good boys and grils) freindly. Willing to visit more times😉

Made a quick stop to grab breakfast here. Had a macchiato with oat milk, and a croissant with butter, ham and cheese. Lovely lovely. Staff was nice, service was quick. The place was packed on a sunday morning. 10/10 recommend.

I love Monka!!! Incredibly yummy pastries and bread. Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious. My favorites are the sourdough bread with ham and cheese, the cinnamon bun and the basque cheesecake. If you want bread and the yummy pastries, come here early because they are soooo popular. The owner and the other lovely people working there are so friendly and attentive! Best cafe in Lisbon 💘

Amazing little café for a breakfast, brunch, or just a nice coffee break. The Monka staff was very friendly and attentive, and the food was simple but so flavorful (the sourdough bread especially!), exactly what we needed to start the day on a positive note. The café itself is super cute too, with minimalistic decor and nice music playing. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience at Monka Café. In fact, it was one of the best cafes we’ve ever visited. Very friendly service and outstanding breakfast. The homemade labneh and tomatoes on sourdough was a simple yet light and delicious dish. Highly recommend visiting. Much better than the more touristy cafes where you will stand in line for 45 minutes.

This coffee and breakfast spot will give an unique experience with their own bakery. From freshly baked bread that you can take away to tantalizing tahini-infused cakes, every bite is a delight. My favourite dish in the main menu is the Monka Tomatoes. What sets this place apart is the weekly introduction of original dishes, keeping to discover new flavors. A must-try for those who crave a cozy atmosphere. They are always attentive here and always remember what you order!

If you're looking for a cozy spot to grab a cup of coffee or a bite to eat in Lisbon, look no further than this hidden gem. Tucked away on a quiet street, this intimate coffee place offers the perfect ambiance for a relaxed and enjoyable experience. The aroma of brewed coffee as you walk in, and the quality of the coffee is just great. The food here is also top-notch, with a selection of homemade pastries and light meals that are sure to satisfy. The atmosphere is what really sets this place apart, though. The decor is simple and elegant, with warm lighting that make you feel right at home. It's the perfect place to catch up with friends or curl up with a good book. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. This intimate coffee place is a true hidden gem in Lisbon. Whether you're a coffee lover or just looking for a cozy spot to relax, you won't be disappointed. Highly recommended! :)

Great specialty coffee from local roasters. Delicious homemade artisanal pastry. Homemade sourdough bread to buy and take home or as a base of amazing tartines.

The café was quite busy but the staff was still nice and friendly. The ingredients were high quality and food was presented beautifully - and tasted great of course!

My wife and I were fortunate to have found Monka Bakery via online recommendations. Our day was started with two delicious pastries from Monka Bakery. The owner was warm, professional and friendly. He suggested that we venture to the newly established Monka Cafe. There we were greeted by the equally delightful woman owner and we had a Cafe Latte, Cafe Flat White, an Espresso, and a Croissant. Our coffees were outstanding and the croissant was a work of culinary art. It was deliciously crisp on the outside and perfectly soft on the inside. The textures and flavor were perfect. Service at the cafe was friendly, prompt and professional. They have a wide selection of breads and pastries that they bake to perfection themselves. We are fortunate to have found this wonderful cafe. I suggest that you visit and experience this cafe for yourself, it will be a visit that will bring a smile to your face and satisfaction to your stomach and soul.

Reeeeally nice place with great local food and veeeery friendly staff! We were even asked if we want to sit at a larger table when it became available. (When we came, only one table was empty, which says a lot). Strong recommendation. 👍👍👍

They buy their coffee beans from my favourite specialty Portuguese roaster, who recommended I go check them out. What a nice little place, made with so much soul. You feel the love. Amazing coffee, amazing bread (made by Evelina’s husband at Monka Bakery around the corner) and just a warm welcoming family-run-business vibe. Specialty coffee lovers, go go go check it out !

Lovely café with fantastic bread and pastries produced by a local nano bakery. Don't pass by, especially if you live in the area. Highly recommend!

The best pastry in Lisbon from their own Monka Bakery. One of the most unique places in town where the quality is over the top! The owners care about the small details that make the simple things very special. A cup of specialty coffee and their MORNING BUN®(!) - that’s all you need to make your day better.
