The service was great, very attentive staff with a great environment overall. The cocktails leave much to be desired, especially for the price. After paying less at other cocktail lounges in Lisbon with far superior cocktails, this place left much to be desired. The cocktails are indeed pre-maid, and little effort goes into making them. If you're looking for a nice hangout spot with great service, this is a great place. If you want quality cocktails, definitely look elsewhere.

Came here for some spontaneous cocktails with my girlfriend and we had a blast! Great and interesting cocktails with innovative techniques to blend different flavours. The service was fantastic from start to end and we felt at ease and excited right away. Moreover my girlfriend was craving something that they didn’t offer on the menu and after the bartender asked a few questions he whipped up a custom cocktail which was her exact preference in a glass! Well priced around the 12-14eu mark per drink for the experience seeing the great flavours, service, and location! We’d come back every few months if we lived here I’m sure :). Go for it!

This bar is superb. Best bartenders and drinks for sure. They are truly friendly and awesome. If this your first time in Lisbon, visit this bar. Btw, definitely try Whiskey Highball.

This place is really cool. We originally came to find Red Frog Speakeasy, but it was full so they offered us a table here. We weren't disappointed. Me and my partner had two cocktails each. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, explaining everything in detail. The drinks themselves were unusual but really nice, they aren't made with your typical cocktail ingredients! Quite pricey but I can see why, I would 100% recommend!

Well located in the heart of Lisbon, Monkey Mash is probably one of the best cocktail bar in town! 🍸👌 (Redfrog bar is hidden inside the Monkey Mash.. And you better book in advance if you want to get in the renowned speakeasy!). At the Monkey Mash, they serve really good and creative cocktails with their own signature drinks but also their personal take on classics like the old fashioned, negroni etc.. And they were very interesting and tasty 👍

This was the single most fun experience I have ever had at a cocktail bar. Our server Lucas had the most infectious positive energy, which started off our experience perfectly. He was also able to describe the cocktails very well and make recommendations based on our tastes. The cocktails were as amazing as the service, and we tried almost every one on the menu between three of us. I will say it is pricey but I believe it was worth every penny. Even though I was initially skeptical of their descriptions in the menu, the unconventional ingredients complemented each other very well and each concoction felt balanced and complex in a unique way. I would highly recommend this bar for anyone who enjoys sophisticated cocktails and mixology. My favorites were the Aztec Mystic followed by the Blossom.

Fantastic cocktail bar. Drinks are very original but they can also deliver the classics perfectly. Menu is very inventive and nicely designed. The place is also beautiful and has a nice atmosphere. The staff is friendly and well trained to explain what you’re about to have. There’s also a speakeasy hidden somewhere in the bar itself. Try to find it!

Really nice bar with good cocktails, like a jungle style there, also if you stay a long there, you can try to go to Red Frog without reservation - we were lucky one, who came inside without reservation

The atmosphere was nice, the staff also very kind. The problem with Monkey Mash is that it’s being compared with Red Frog. Indeed, the Red Frog experience was nicer, but knowing it’s the same team the expectations were high. It was cut short by a little, but overall it was a nice experience. The cocktails were good, the Aztec Mystic a little bid odd and hard to drink. Another thing, the “suggestive tips” are a bit high. 20-30% at those prices, idk what to say. Other than that, good job guys! 🍍

Very good cocktails in a hip vibey lounge. Some people are complaining about the cocktails being pre-mixed but I don't think that's a negative here. We watched them create several drink batches as well as assembling the final cocktails and there's a lot of craftsmanship going into both.

Visited on a Thursday evening with no reservation for 2. Seated immediately and not many other guests. Our waitress was so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. Provided recommendations based on our likings, and all the drinks we ordered were delicious! Love the concept of the drinks being served/paired with a food/dessert item. We loved all the drinks, but my favorite was the popcorn one... the smell/experience will be unforgettable! Our waitress also helped us find Red Frog bar.

Visited few days ago, it was my second time and I was not impressed. I myself work in a bar industry along with my friends that visited with me and we were shocked. The atmosphere was nice but the smell didn’t get better and it disturbed our experience. The cocktails are okay, we tried some from the signature menu but if you want to enjoy a nice classic cocktail, forget about it. The waiter was kind of rude and arrogant, trying to make us look stupid whenever we asked if they could make some classics stating they are a tropical bar without a further explanation of the whole bar concept. He repeated it at least 3 times. At the end he brought a bill, sat down on the sofa while taking a payment and was demanding a tip from us for a very poor service, lack of understanding and also lack of engagement with us. They knew we are industry people, all working in bars and still treated us like people that have no idea about drinks. We are all the easiest people to deal with it as we do the same jobs but this really stuck with us. Definitely won’t come back. The speak easy bar Red Frog makes really nice drinks but once again the service overall very poor, for a such a small bar they can definitely do better. Even here the waiter tried to make us tip straight away, explaining how he needs to calculate the bill with the gratuity amount.

Very tasty and innovative cocktails. Loved the style, surprise factor and taste of the drinks we got. The service was super friendly, fast and attentive. The bar had a cool, colorful and styled interior. I really liked the green plant element on the ceiling over the bar. The only thing I’d wish for is more light on the tables, like candles or little lamps. We felt it was a bit too dark.

Very nice and attentive staff, and the cocktails are definitely an experience! Worth checking out! A lovely bartender showed me how they made the Peach Jasmin and let me try the alcohol distilled with peach and yogurt (see the picture). And the final product was absolutely glorious.they also had guest bartenders but the fun part is definitely the own menu!

Me and my boyfriend visited this place yesterday. We had a blast! Host/waiter Lucas - this gentleman made our evening fully, what a knowledge about cocktails! Please consider to give him good pay rise. We supposed to have one, two cocktails maximum, we stayed and drunk 5 of them! Lucas you are legend and we wish you all the best in your future. I went to Monkey Mash on a Thursday with no reservations. I arrived right when they open so I was seated immediately. It is a very cute bar. I like the different variety of ingredients that they use, it is very unique. The drinks are on the pricey side, for Lisbon. I ordered 3 drinks- Dragged in, mash mash, and in the dark. My favorite was the mash mash.

A must visit when in Lisbon. Beautifully decorated speak easy with delicious and unusual cocktails and tapas style food that was filled with good textures, nice flavours and decent prices. Lively atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff who are happy to make cocktails to your liking and suggest from their interesting menu. We didn’t book but it got busy quickly so I’d recommend if you’re more than 2 booking in advance. If you would also like to do Red Frog then you must book to get in to that one, unfortunately we didn’t try it out this.

Had a mixed feelings about this place and maybe it’s not for me. Too much attention from the staff though helpful but a bit too much to the point it feels fake. Had the Aztec Mystic and I don’t think the final result of the mix is a great one. Last thing is the tip suggestion upon payment, come on this is not the US so no point of importing the concept.

I'm a trained mixologist who works at one of the best restaurant in Quebec and I enjoyed every seconde that we spent here. The cocktails menu is on point. we tried almost everything on the menu. My favorite drink of the night was "Life is so sad" Perfect balance of flavours and textures. We also tried some tacos and the didn't disappoint. I'm really glad that we had the chance to try it out.

The service and atmosphere at the bar were excellent, contributing to an enjoyable time. The guacamole was a standout, and the overall pricing was fair. While I appreciate the effort in crafting signature cocktails, it was a bit disconcerting to witness them being poured from pre-mixed bottles, lacking the expected mixing art. Given the potential for expensive ingredients like premium rums, the disconnect between the price range (12 to 16 €) and the absence of a personalized mixing process was noticeable. Nevertheless, the taste of the cocktails was impressive and brought a novel flair to the experience.

Very fun bar with great atmosphere. The menu for drinks is very long and the drinks are a little weird. Taste was good though. Its not a quiet place, lots of people and loud. Worth coming to if you want to meet people or hang out with friends.

I have a difficult time rating this place. It's something one either will love or hate. The cocktails are designer created, which I generally always admire, however them being so out of the box it didn't hit it for me. We tried everything from the menu and everyone I was with really liked at least one cocktail. Would definitely recommend. A few euros is not a lot of money to lose, but very little if you'll fall in love with the drink. 🥂

I just arrived to Lisbon, Portugal and I have to say that this experience literally already made this vacation AMAZING. The vibes are everything you need. The drinks are absolutely amazing and the service is what made this visit one in which I will come back. The bartender, NuNo, is absolutely the best. If you get the chance to sit at the bar, do so, to learn so much about mixology and Portugal overall. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. As I usually don’t leave reviews, I had to for this place.

Wow. Such a great place. Was planning to go to Red Frog, but understood you needed a reservation. However, this bar is just as good. Great bartender. Prebatched perfect cocktails. Beautiful design. Love it.

Ended up here because we couldn’t get into the Red Frog Speakeasy, but definitely not a let down. Nice fun bar, interiors and ambiance are really cool too- very modern and tropical, colorful, which set the vibe of the place. Drinks are super fun, different and unique. Great great service, and it seemed like everyone knew what they were doing.

Our large group stopped here for a drink before dinner and had no problem getting in. I imagine it would've been harder any later in the evening. Staff was friendly. Cool jungle vibe. Bill came randomly in a trash can. Somewhere inside is the Red Frog Speakeasy. We didn't get that far as our group was too large and reservations necessary.

Amazing experience and service. Visited the bar with my 4 friends from NYC. The “Tommy’s Margarita” is one of the best drinks the 4 of us have ever had. The drinks are very well priced and the presentation is impressive as well. Everything is very well thought out which provides a unique experience that you won’t want to miss. We had the pleasure of being served by Lucas, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and a provided a once in a lifetime experience. Would recommend as a must visit spot for anyone going to Lisbon.

We went to the Red Frog (equally as amazing) and thought we’d give Monkey Mash a try, WOW, we’re we glad we did! From the minute we walked in the service we received from Pedro (and all the staff) was exceptional!! It’s has a cool tropical vibe with a great ambience. The drinks were explained throughly and advise on flavour profiles given. A must for anyone in / visiting Lisbon.

Solid little local spot. Cocktails are fantastic, the decor is amazing and the staff bring it all together. Pedro, Rodrigo and Sara are more than welcoming and hospitality should be their middle names. They had 2 anglo-canadians sitting at their bar and still made a connection although they might never see us again. Worth the detour. Much love from Montreal!

Monkey Mash was one of the best bar I’ve been to. Our bartender, Sabu, made our experience unforgettable as she tailored our drinks a little to our likings. She even took a cute picture for us. Life is so sad, blossom, peach jasmin were our favorite!
