I really didn't want to leave this place a bad review, because the people who work here are very nice. However, this was the worst latte I've ever gotten in my life. The latte was clearly made from some kind of powdered mix, and it hadn't even been mixed properly by the time it was served to me (see the clumps in the photo below). The milk tasted slightly sour. All around awful, have no idea how this place got its good rating.

Really good sandwiches, very fresh and tasty (especially tuna and egg and cheese), good coffee (size and quality) for a very fair price. Sani (staff) was very nice and even went to the market to buy tuna for my wife's tuna sandwich as he ran out of it. Best place for good breakfast!

My partner and I were hoping to sit and have a Portuguese tart and a coffee but despite being empty with all tables available, the proprietor didn't feel we could sit at a table. If I could give zero stars, I would. Not worthy of it's high star rating!!! I hope the proprietor will consider this feedback and revise their business model accordingly.

Stumbled into this cafe after lunch. We had a lovely experience with the owner’s nephew (sorry, I forgot your name!!), and he was an absolute delight! He educated us about the best coffee brands. I tried my first port here and it was lovely. I love finding a fantastic hole-in-the-wall and this was it. Next time we swing by, we will try the food! Good conversation, GREAT value!

We had breakfast at this cute little cafe. The eggs were super fresh and tasty. We also tried the smoothies, mango+strawberry no sugar added was the best. I also tried an egg sandwich and the espresso was delicious. The owner was nice and accommodating with my boys who ordered random stuff that wasn’t on the menu. We also learned from him a little bit of the city history, and he gave the boys a piece of chocolate salami to try. We’re happy to have found this place and will come back for more while we are in Lisboa.

Cute little hole in the wall! There was nobody here so we stepped in with 3 hungry kids and it's fantastic. Good food, super nice cook (maybe the owner?), and clean. Don't skip it if you need something quick, simple, and yummy!

This business at this address, a pastelaria/cafe, does not exist anymore. It is now a general/convenience/gift store. Not exactly sure, I didn't go in. :-/

Great value meal, got to to try a free vegetarian samosa and above all a really nice owner!

Several issues: - The board outside says cappucino is 2.50Euro, but they wanted to charge 3.50Euro, said it was a "large" one. They did not ask and did not offer any option when ordering. The board outside does not distinguish between small and large. - The cappucino had spray cream on it - that is not typical, and they did not ask before using it - The restroom does not work

From America, the guy that helped us was super nice. Will be going back tomorrow morning, coffee was great and our 4year old and 2 year ate food. Being my son Is a picky eater, he ate a whole ham and cheese sandwhich.

The owner (Sany I think, sorry if I spelled your name wrong aha) noticed my boyfriend and I when we arrived and started a conversation when went to the shop to buy some water. He was so nice and welcoming that my boyfriend and I wanted to go eat breakfast there the next morning. The place feels very cosy and homey, it’s simple but good, the fresh orange juice is really nice but the best thing is Sany’s niceness and genuine aura. If you’re nearby don’t hesitate to go there :) As for us we’ll probably come back !

This place is amazing! I come here every morning, everything on the menu is fantastic. The owner is so friendly and helpful. If I could give it more than five stars I absolutely would. I could not recommend a better place in all of Lisbon. Better than any other cafe around!!

Totally forgot to take any photos before eating as the sandwiches were so tasty! Took away 3 sandwiches, eggtart and coffees. Proper packaging for takeaways. Reasonable price. 3-4 euro for coffee is normal if you think about coffee shops like Starbucks. Sandwiches were tasty with crispy bread with grilled cheese & tuna. Friendly owner. So it cannot be better. Will visit again for breakfast while we're staying here.

Tasty sandwiches for takeout breakfast. Love the tuna sandwich, grilled cheese sandwich, and egg&cheese sandwich 😋 and Sunny(the guy at the shop) is amazing 👌 We'll definitely come back!

Charlot Alfama is an unassuming cafe with great food and company. The food and drinks are delicious and the owner Sani is very friendly and chatty! The orange juice is freshly squeezed and I popped by every morning to grab one. Highly recommend!!
