there was no hot water in the shower and throughout our stay, instead of fixing it the staff argued with us and made excuses. furthermore, in order to activate the AC each time we had to call the front desk because they locked the ability to activate it ourselves! when we ask for cooling they put it on heat and turned it off! the staff clearly doesn't speak English well because over and over they did exactly the opposite of what we asked for. we were barely in the room, we only came at night to shower and sleep, and that wasn't available to us! we were there for 4 nights and each night we had to argue with the staff instead of taking a relaxing shower and a good night sleep after a long day of traveling. we didn't get any basic service or any consolation. i recommend you to choose any other hotel.

I booked my stay here very last minute but am so glad I did. The hotel is in a great location and makes it easy to access a lot of the tourism sites. It's also close to the metro and tram so you can do more exploring in the city. My room was modern, well decorated and very clean.

My 2-night stay at the My Story Hotel Tejo was wonderful. The hotel is very tastefully hip, clean, and comfortable. I was a bit disappointed the room assigned to me was not the room depicted in the photos on my booking site. I booked a single, which advertised 172 sq. ft. of space, a sitting chair, and a double desk. The room I received was roughly 12x12 ft. with no sitting chair. I did not complain to the hotel. The room did feature marvelous high ceilings, a wardrobe with refrigerator, comfortably firm bed, small TV, advanced and quiet AC/heat, and robust Wifi. The bathroom was of adequate size with plenty of hot-shower water and polished concrete floors. Like the rest of the hotel, the room makeup was contemporary. The location of My Story Tejo might be its best feature. It sits about 60-meters from PraƧa da Figueira which has an entrance to the Rossio Metro stop. Many restaurants are in and around this square. There is a small convenience store immediately next store to the hotel, and the splendid Continente Bom Dia grocery store is a 2-block walk. This location is terrific as you are easy walking distance to all the attractions, shopping, and restaurants of the old town. Any transportation you may require is right there as well, including the Metro (1.50-euro to/from the airport), city buses, and the vintage trams. If you need it, Covid-19 testing is available in a trailer in PraƧa da Figueira, right next to an entrance to the Metro. They offer antigen rapid-testing for free with results in 30-minutes every day of the week between 09:00 and 18:15 (they close for an hour at lunchtime). Full PCR testing is available for 80-euros, with same-day or at most, 24-hour results except on Sundays. The staff was happy, helpful, and fast. Bring your passport with you.

Very good value. Our room was very comfortable and quiet, and we slept well. This was our first visit to Lisbon, and the hotel was well located for our tourist goals. Breakfast was decent. The whole place seemed to be newly renovated and modern, so there was not a lot of character to the rooms, but they functioned quite well.

One of the best hotel's I have stayed in for the price. My husband and I had an amazing stay celebrating our wedding anniversary and the hotel staff went above and beyond to make it a special affair for us. The room was beautifully decorated with petals and hearts arranged by towels. Our room was clean and well presented. Staff were friendly and accommodating over the stay. We were able to get late check out which was gave us ample time to organise our bags before leaving. The breakfast was amazing each day with lovely spreads of pastries and the eggs were delicious. Couldn't fault anything as it was the perfect stay and so close to all the attractions by foot! Lastly, we were able to leave our bags before check-in and after check-out which was so helpful and gave us more time to explore and enjoy ourselves. Thank you to the staff for all your amazing hard work in making our stay special.

Nice hotel in a great central location in Baixa, so most of the sights within easy walking distance, plus lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Nice clean rooms with most items except a kettle. Good breakfast buffet and friendly helpful staff.

Great place to stay and discover Lisbon. Perfect location, close to everything. Had no problem with soundproofing even though the location is in the busy area. Cute design, bathroom and view. Room is quiet big for an old town building. Breakfast is good and served in a nice ambience. Definitely recommend.

Unfortunately the floor in our room was not clean. There was an odor smell from the bathroom in the mornings. Construction workers were working across the street and could see into the room. Taxi transfer only accepts payment in cash. Location and design was nice.

location, safety and cleanliness are top priority of my selection for this trip with. The hotel and other My Story Hotel branches are located in the heart of Lisbon. It is a bit lower price and within budget so we decided to stay at Tejo. The hotel staff is helpful. The room is clean with adequate facilities. I am happy to take day and night photos at the historical building. There are coffee machine inside the room and you can make hot water. Complimentary coffee and tea is available but I am sad the room service do not help to refill during my 4 night staying. The buffet breakfast is good and there are many restaurants you can choose from. You can take the historical No.28, Ascensor Gloria 态Lavra within 20 mins by walking. Meanwhile, you can take the bus or metro to most of the sightseeing points in Lisbon. I will stay in Tejo again if I visit with my family again.

I didn't expect a great view (we faced a plain gray wall) or much quiet (thanks to noisy restaurant fans 24/7) in the middle of the bustling city. But the real problem was the unbearable smell from the bathroom drains. We stopped using one of our two bathrooms (this being a family travel we actually had two interconnected rooms) and had to stuff a towel under the door to keep the room from smelling like a public restroom. We couldn't open the windows because of the noise and odors coming out of the restaurant fans. When we mentioned these issues to the hotel staff at the reception desk, they didn't seem to care and offered no solutions, such as changing our room or compensation. So, all in all, I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Great hotel! I liked the location, close to the center and public stops. The room was spacious enough, clean and there was no unpleasant smells. This hotel was a like a reward after walking and exploring Lisbon :) the breakfasts were also fine, it was always the same but the choice is fine, I guess everyone can find something to eat. The staff is also very friendly. I definitely recommend the hotel!

It isn't a good hotel. Actually it is an OK hotel. The location is good in the city center of Lisbon and access is easy. Although the room is really small, it was difficult to open a medium luggage. The bathroom was nice. The daily cleaning was poor, careless and muddy. The towels were thin and not very clean. I won't choose that hotel again.

I had a disappointing stay at a hotel in Lisbon. The reservations were inconsistent, and despite the bed being comfortable, the room had a disappointing view of walls. Additionally, the lack of amenities like a coffee machine and the need to purchase water separately were frustrating. The cleanliness of the room was subpar, with the bathroom remaining unclean for two days and minimal towel replacements. The inconvenient elevator system and uncooperative staff added to the negative experience. Despite the modern decor, the room felt cramped and lacked genuine comfort. Overall, I regretted the money spent and do not plan to return.

clean, affordable, and a great location to walk to places or to use public transport around lisbon. our room had a view to the castle up above, which was nice. the staff also helped us pick a fado restaurant which was greatly appreciated.

We stayed at this hotel for five days in early May. The hotel staff was very accommodating in honoring our request to have a room away from the lift and on an upper floor, the view from the room was great, we looked right up to the Castle. The accommodations were very comfortable, good bed, clean, and a great location. We couldnā€™t have asked for a better spot to be at, given the close proximity to public transport and the top neighborhoods we wanted to visit. The reason Iā€™m not giving this hotel more stars are as follows: Hot room: The room had a Juliette balcony but no other windows. For three of the five nights there, our air conditioning did not work and it was quite warm and stuffy in the room. We did open the doors, but we had to deal with the noise of the recycling bins right below (e.g. 2 am bottles being tossed by locals and restaurants), trolley traffic in the morning, and general street noise. Cleaning: the room was clean when we arrived, but our room was not cleaned the first day after, and subsequent cleanings were mediocre at best. Staff: of the three front desk staff we interacted with, only one was polite. The rest seemed a bit arrogant and weā€™re not very friendly with our requests or inquiries

Really great experience at My Story Hotel Tejo!!! I was afraid that the hotel would be crumby because itā€™s in the city center but I was very wrong. I want to start by saying- the air conditioning was SO NICE!!!! The receptionists were very professional and kind. The room was spacious and mattresses were very clean (we checked). The lobby is pretty and breakfast was just what we needed. I would recommend this hotel to a friend 100%. 5 stars well deserved

Everything is great about this place, considering the excellent location. Rooms are modern and nice, small but that's to be expected. The only real negative is they put us in the "new" side, meaning we had to use two elevators and navigate a crazy maze to get to our room. If you stay here, request the old side!!!

The location of this hotel is unbeatable. The staff is attentive and the rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. I will note that a change of elevator might be required depending on the floor your room is on, this can be troublesome if you are traveling with an infant and a stroller (one of the elevators is too small to fit a stroller). We ran into this issue upon check-in, but once we brought up the issue the staff promptly switched us to a different room. I would absolutely stay here again.

Super friendly staff. Helpful at every turn. Nice rooms (for sure better than basic but the price won't put you in the poor house). Great hotel.

A very nice hotel. You do have to pay for a breakfast additionally however. It was convenient to sights and the subway, a nice staff, and up upbeat. Extremely clean and well decorated. Quite modern as well.

This hotel was pretty nice and in a very central location! Our main complaints: we requested 2x prior to our visit to have a street facing street view as well as an early check in. Neither was granted, even when we asked again in person at the hotel. We were instead given a room facing a closed alley filled with trash and there was loud construction that woke us up in the morning. Additionally, the bed covers had small red wine stains on it when we first came in. Not an amazing experience, but livable and good for one or two days.

The best thing about this hotel is its location. Near everything like bus stop, subway, tram etc. But the room is also very clean, modern and isolated. The break fast is also excellent

Obviously there are enough tourists around so service became very poor. A year ago service was 5* and I'd have recommended this hotel strongly. Nowadays unmotivated receptionists who are rather not get disturbed, housekeeping sucks completely. Either room is not made up at all (past 3pm) or it is just done poorly. Towels are dirty with holes and don't look too intriguing. You'd better bring your own toilet paper to avoid unpleasant situations. Don't forget ear plugs either.

We are very upset with the service. Even though room service had cleaned the room, they didnā€™t take the dirty glasses and didnā€™t refresh the teabags and coffee capsules. Weā€™re staying here for 4 nights as 2 people. When we asked for new coffee capsules/tea bags they said it was only first day as welcome offer, otherwise you need to payā€¦ Given that weā€™re paying more than ā‚¬100 a night, Iā€™d expect a better service that doesnā€™t try to sell you even the most basic stuff.

Great hotel! Location was excellent, the area was safe to walk around in at night, the breakfast was good, and the waterfall shower was brilliant. I stayed here for my birthday, and the hotel surprised me with a couple of treats, which was lovely and so thoughtful of them (I didn't tell them it was my birthday). Highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Lisbon.
