This restaurant has a perfect location and a great view. The food was really good and staff was very friendly. We were recommended red wine and sardine pasta and octopus salad. Both were very delicious. Strongly recommend it.

It’s definitely a gem in Lisbon. Was recommended by a friend and glad that we did visit the restaurant. The place is relatively small but with excellent services and wonderful atmosphere. My friend and I enjoyed the octopus pasta very much because of its rich flavor and the special fusilli pasta that helps it perfectly absorb the seasoning and the seafood sauce. Starters are also very good. Rather than the chewy texture that we had in Asian, its chicken gizzard has a softer and tender texture, which is different but also nice. I loved how the restaurant serves the utensils with environmental friendly packages; not to mentioned that they look great! Staff are super friendly and humourous. This is the place that I would love to re-visit for my next Lisbon trip. Card is acceptable.

We ended up going to this restaurant twice during our stay since we enjoyed it so much. The octopus pasta was exquisite and a new experience for us. The mixed salad with warm goat cheese put the meal over the top. The co-owners and staff are very friendly and add to the enjoyment. Highly recommended.

Cute place with very friendly staff. Definitely recommend their octopus spaghetti! It’s a recipe I have never had before! Slightly spicy but really bring the best of the ingredients!

Absolutely delicious food, great wine, welcoming staff. One of our best meals in Lisbon. Go if you can, you won’t be disappointed. Charming neighborhood away from the crowds. Get the carob cake for dessert!!!!

To me, this restaurant is like a hole in thr wall. We went there for dinner and was told that they were running full house. We made a reservation for the next evening and luckily there was a vacancy for us. The food and service were impeccable! The sangria was the bomz!!! We had orange tiramisu and carob cake for dessert. No regrets. Go there and experience it for yourself.

You must go here. If you are two people or more dining together get the tasting block of tapas for around 35EUR. IT IS DIVINE. Service was kind and warm, professional. The tapas is to live for. The wine was super yum. Atmosphere is cozy. My friend and I spent two hours having the best time tasting a wide variety of Tapas. Sumptuous. Octopus melted in the mouth. Blood sausage was smoky and surprising. The ham- the cheese- beans- eggplant- I could go on but I’m so tired after this meal extravaganza. I can’t believe I didn’t take a photo of the food- lovely presentation of color and textures. ENJOY!!

Very small but charming place. A reservation is recommended. The waiters are chatty, funny, very friendly, give great suggestions. The octopus salad is like the best I have ever had, a must try! Don’t miss a chance to eat here!

We came upon this little gem by chance but so glad we found it. The whole experience was delightful. We shared a tomato and sheep's cheese salad, melt in the mouth beef, stewed in beer with mashed potatoes and vegetables followed by a lemon cheesecake. The staff were very friendly.

We tried the shrimps in garlic en chili and also the codfish with mashed patatoes. We were very happy! Nice portions and quick service

I Spent a short time in Lisbon but went to a few restaurants and this place was my Favorite. Great Friendly Service, Food was great and the Best lemonade I have ever tasted! Also good Vegetarian options.

Visited last week on a trip to Lisbon with 3 friends (including one vegetarian) and it was wonderful. A lovely welcoming place with friendly and helpful staff. We went with tapas and stayed for dessert and it was all delicious! We got lucky just turning up, it is a small place and would recommend booking so you don't miss out. The price was good and well worth it. If you're visiting Lisbon, definitely give this place a try!

When I travel I eat. It’s what I do. First and only question is how does this place have anything less than 5 stars? The food is not only extraordinary but it is different in its flavor palette and well crafted while still feeling like a home cooked meal. That is rare. The service is not only great with a personal touch but the conversation and demeanor are both welcoming and entertaining. To the owners of Bistro Gato Prado… thank you for standing out even in a good lovers city like Lisbon.

We came here twice for dinner during our 4 night stay in Lisbon and had an incredible experience each time - terrific food and ambiance. We ordered different dishes each time we went, and every one was better than the last. The petiscos were great - our favorites were the fava beans with egg, garlic shrimp, pork cheek and the cod. The octopus pasta was also delicious. Mario and Werner were amazing hosts and we would highly recommend this place when in Lisbon! Can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful, sweet service in a fun little spot. Gorgeous, yummy food on a street that is relatively quiet if the market isn’t happening. The best part is I can’t understand any of the conversations.

Atmosphere here was really terrific and the food was very good. We had the risotto special and the flavour was spectacular and the spicy prawn pasta - highly recommend both dishes. Oh - you wont go wrong with ordering the house red as well! I am also partial to a restaurant where the owner shows you pictures of his rescue cats!

My only regret is that I can’t give this place 10 stars!! It was excellent! I sat outside and had a glorious view of the church. The owners are so cool. I had the octopus salad, pork cheek, roast potatoes, walnut ice cream and tiramisu and it was incredible! The vibe is cosy, rustic and authentic. It feels like you’re going to a good friends house for dinner. I loved it. Amazing meal and experience.

Best Aperol Spritz around. Lovely team who were in a playful mood when we visited. A lovely moment of calm between busy places. Food looked good to and decorating is witty and stylish.
