Quieter than the other restaurants but well worth it for the lobster.

Oh yeah....LOBSTER galore!!! Delicious, delectable, divine lobster. Multiple varieties fresh out of the tank. You can watch them swim when you enter, then see them on your plate with melted butter in about 30 minutes. The wait staff had a great sense of humor too. Open very late for those traveling to LIS with late arrivals.

Went here with work colleagues and the staff took fantastic care of our group. Made us feel welcome and excited to have a full experience rather than just dinner at Sete Mares.

Sit at the bar. Make friends with the barman. Watch all the shelling action. Have some pata negra ham and try the percibes (barnacles) a rare and wonderful delicacy, which taste a bit like a cross between lobster and clam. Great experience.

Excellent food, good service, cool atmosphere. Having the fresh bread and pata negra ham was a good recommendation I lifted from another reviewer. Check out all the hanging hams and monster sea critters in the back before you head out. The generous portion of grilled cod was perfectly cooked but somehow still needed a little more flavor. The seafood bisque was interesting but may have been more of a regional twist to the Americanized bisques I'm used to. It got real busy and real loud by 8:30 so plan ahead if you're looking for a quiet dinner out. But overall a great experience in a classy restaurant.

Wonderful space to experience high quality Portuguese food. The atmosphere is relaxing you feel as if you are in a home with full service. Everything is so delicious you dare not leave any behind. My clams were the highlight. Portions sizes are great.

This is one of the best authentic seafood restaurant in Lisbon. It is famous for Lobsters but other seafoods are superb too. We love all the shells and shrimp. Service and environment are very good. Highly recommended.

Fresh delicious seafood cooked to perfect 🥰. This has been one of the best seafood restaurants I've been to in a while. I had the sole and my friend had a lobster 🦞. Both were cooked perfectly and came out quickly. The wait staff were attentive and professional servers. They spoke English and made us feel welcome. I recommend trying this place if you go to Lisbon.

Great food , great service , nice atmosphere, only I think the prices are a bit too high when the next day we walked through a massive supermarket and saw the super low fish and prawn prices . For example a kilo of prawns you get for 6-7€ in Lisbon, whereas you sell maybe 200gramms for 15-16€ . Same for the fishes and all other things the margin of profit is totally skyrocketing and a bit excessive in my opinion

If you want proper seafood made the right way, make your reservation! Ask if you can see the menu of the day as it will have different dishes to the main menu, and perhaps at better prices. Shellfish Bisque from the menu of the day was superb. Swordfish (black Scabbardfish, not the billfish) was incredible. Arroz Doce was nice. Service was attentive, perhaps because we were invited for dinner by regular customers who also dined there the previous night. 10/10 would go again!

Visited for lunch with our local hosts. A very popular place featuring traditional food and a massive fish tank in the middle of the restaurant. Super busy with the service taking a bit of a hit. Our fish dishes were excellent.

Excellent seafood. I particularly enjoyed the Sole à la Meunière. Not a tourist trap, lots of locals dine here. 4 stars and not 5 simply because it is a bit too expensive for Lisbon, in my opinion. And they charge for everything, bread, sides, etc. Otherwise, recommended!

The crab and salad were ok, but the crab was salty. The fish was very salty ! I informed the waiter, he shrugged his shoulders and disappeared. I didn't eat the fish and just left it there. A few new waiters continued the service and I mentioned the inedible salty fish, however the first waiter never came back and no offer to change the fish was made. And it was fully charged in my bill. We had dinner here in Lisbon in November 27, 2023 at about 6:45pm. We had tried other Sete Mares elsewhere, but nothing like this one ! Vladimir Manlapaz

Great “marisqueira”, traditional sea food restaurant. Service is friendly, prices are ok, and the food is delicious.

The food was ok... It was not awesome.. but for not return soon. I was a monthly (3times visit/month) customer, some years ago.. the food and the service were awesome. But now.. it has lowered the quality of the food and the service. It's good... but not "The restaurant Sete Mare" from years ago. We ordered 5 different dishes.. only one was the good... (Bacalhau), all the rest were normal.. I say normal, for the price it cost. If it was in a normal place, it would be great.. here, it should be exceptional for the price at the end. But it was not. The only thing good here, and fresh ,it's the seafood and the fish.. but remain in the same line... the prices... Ahhhh and of course... the best "Presunto" in the world #5j I said presunto to distinguish between portuguese "ham" it means "Fiambre" ... What I am referring it's Presunto... if you did never tried.. it's a good place to do it.. (keep an eye I the prices), but this "Presunto" it's awesome.... I know it since some years ago. The staff... well.. nothing to point it out, but nothing better than the lower expectives, compared some years ago. Try to make some changes.. everything change.. try to adopt. Within my thinking and opinion the name "Sete Mares" means one of the best seafood restaurant in Lisbon. Don't lose that record.. HAPPY Xmas to all the staff!

We ordered tiger prawn and squid. They are all very fresh and tasty. We anticipated that the price is a bit on the high end. However, it cost almost 5 euro for a piece of pineapple as dessert, which is a bit insane.

Good, but maybe less salt on the seafood rice would make it even better. The bolo de bolacha is the traditional recipe, too much butter for my taste.

Probably the best Tiger Shrimps I’ve ever tried. Absolutely highest level service. If you are travelling to Portugal always go for sea food restaurant like this, no matter what. Even if it is expensive.

I think this restaurant is famous for its sea foods. I ordered a dish of chouque, it was OK, but I can not say it was the best one. The service was good, staff were helpful. Restaurant does not have parking place but you may park car near the street if you find a spot. It's accessable by wheelchair.
