It was a great experience listening to Fado, the atmosphere was so enjoyable. The food was good, I would say very close to 'grandma's cooking' type. One thing i found annoying were the people (not the owners fault). So, hoping that people from the US will read this, please when you come to Europe try to tame your voices, you're not the only ones in a restaurant, bar, etc. It's not necessary to scream.

Very nice atmosphere, Cosy and authentic. Food was good but a little pricey for Portugal. We really enjoyed the fado. If you’re in Lisbon you must experience this atmosphere in this casca or similar ones. Highly recommend

We had a fun and charming night at Tasca Bela. We had no reservation, but we came around 8:45 and were seated. We paid a fixed price of 40 euro and stayed until almost 1 in the morning, being fed constantly, and listening to amazing Fado music. The food ranged from average to good, but there was a lot of it, plus bottomless wine! Come for the experience and charm of it all- you won’t be sorry!

The show…. Gave me full body shivers - it was so unique, melancholy and personal. The place transports you into Portuguese history. A MUST DO!

Amazing experience. The food was good, lots of food given the price, kept on coming, and the wine was very tasty. The atmosphere was nice and quiet and the fado was just amazing. I liked how respectful the staff was towards the fado singers and players as they would tell everyone to be quiet when there was a new singer performing and that was great as people could get to carefully appreciate this fantastic music style. We even got to see Mike11 playing the guitarra portuguesa, great musician.

Great Fado, terrible service. We were seated at 8.30pm for €45 per person. By 12.30am we had still not received coffee or dessert! There are ZERO vegetarian options and the old lady owner took great delight in showing us other diners' meat dishes, saying dessert would only be served if all dishes were eaten?! If you enjoy being spoken to like a child and eating your meal in a 5-hour sitting, this is definitely the place for you! The Fado performance was very good.

The most wonderful dinner and such an intimate fado experience. Tasca Bela feels like going to your grandmother’s house for dinner, and we did not want for food or wine for a single moment during our visit. Tasca Bela made for such a magical night and I’m so happy we were able to have this experience during our short stay in Lisbon! The owners are lovely and attentive and it’s evident that they truly care about each of their guests, and the food is absolutely delicious. Make sure you bring your appetite with you as we were disappointed we couldn’t make more room in our stomachs for this amazing meal!

There is one menu which is €35 pp but includes an array of cold appetisers, warm starter, two mains and two desserts. Also included is wine, soft drinks or beer and live fado music from a number of performers (we went on a Wednesday so can't verify for other days). Easily value for money with very nice tasting food and a great evening overall. There aren't many tables so book the day before or ring before they open

What a fantastic experience! We actually nearly cancelled after reading mixed reviews and so glad we didn't. It's worth noting this is a long, leisurely, tasty experience with fantastic Fado and non stop food and wine! The service was also brilliant, our glass was never empty. We arrived at 9pm and were served dessert at 1am, so do go with that in mind incase you were just wanting a quick Fado stop, but the time flew as once a course was served there was more Fado from a range of performers. The wine was excellent. And the atmosphere was brilliant, all for 45euro per head, we cannot wait to return and will recommend to all our friends!! Thank you

Beautiful Fado and wonderful home-cooked food. Don’t be fooled by the menu - the package includes a huge amount of fantastic food (snacks, soups, main, dessert), and the musical accompaniment was excellent.

Absolutely amazing experience! 3 different performers, lots of food and bottomless wine. Great value, if you have the chance, go here!!! The restaurant reminded me of a doll house, super cute. Food was okay, nothing fancy but it kept coming and there was a lot of it

Absolutely incredible meal, bottomless wine, and beautiful Fado to boot. A wonderful snapshot of Portuguese culture and cuisine that we will never forget - and for a great value, too.

As a tourist, it feels like you are invited into someone’s house to experience Portugese culture in an intimate way. Fado was amazing, service was attentive and friendly. Food was great, especially the veal stew. It is an entire evening of experience- sit down at 8-9pm, multiple Fado performances and courses over 3-4 hours with a fixed menu. If you want an evening to experience portugese culture, highly recommend this.

Went here for a fado evening. The music was brilliant. The food generally good, if not outstanding - although the desserts were a real highlight. Good service and atmosphere. And €45 per head for the whole evening including drinks was great value.

Amazing amazing experience. Super kind host. The food was great and it was way too much for the two of us. The fado was also fascinating. I can’t recommend this place enough. You’d love the whole experience.

This was truly a wonderful and authentic dining experience in Lisbon. The staff were kind and friendly. The food and wine were plentiful and we left full in our tummies and full in our hearts. The Fado music was moving, emotional, powerful and beautiful. This was my best dining experience in Lisbon and would highly recommend.

This was the perfect combination of fado and authentic Portuguese cuisine! For 45 Euros a person you get a 5 course tasting, drinks (red, white, or green wine if you drink), and 3 rounds of fado with different singers! When it was time for the fado to begin, they turned off the lights and quieted everyone. The singers’ voices swelled in the candlelight! Truly an amazing experience for my family! I highly recommend you make an 8:45 pm reservation, the last one you can make, so you are sure to get a seat in time for the performance! Thank you Tasca da Bela for a wonderful evening!!!!

What a fantastic experience!!! Five stars are not enough; D.Sra.Silva merits as least ten if not more for the ambiance and twenty plus for the food… Then there was the Fado. O que posso dizer? Fantástico!!! This is an authentic traditional cultural experience not to be missed by any aficionado of fine food and wine with a penchant for beautiful music. I strongly recommend this place in the heart of the Alfama.

The place fully met our expectations - the musicians particularly were great! Price (45 EUR) was fair when taking into account that three musicians plus approx. four in service/kitchen work for only approx. 15 people since more do not fit in this tiny (and comfortable!) location. A word about authenticity: The whole historic center of Lisbon is almost completely dedicated to tourists. There are 10 story cruise-ships just stopping 50 metres away spitting out even more. It is illusionary to expect anything other than a show for visitors under these circumstances. If there is an authentic fado that is actually enjoyed by locals you'll probably not find it in the place of it's origin (locals after all have mostly been removed for airbnbs). Under these, a little sad, conditions it is the best fado experience you can get. They give an effort and were playing an extra session after dinner until late when we were there. We had a great night!
