I
am
a
female
who
needed
to
spend
one
night
in
Lisbon
and
made
a
reservation
at
this
place
a
few
days
before
arriving.
While
making
the
reservation
I
was
specifically
asked
if
I
wish
to
be
in
a
women-only
room
or
in
a
mixed
room
with
both
men
and
women.
I
reserved
a
women-only
room.
I
arrived
in
the
evening
and
the
girl
at
the
desk
instructed
me
how
to
find
my
room.
When
I
entered
the
room
all
the
other
women
had
already
arrived,
but
the
bed
that
was
supposed
to
be
mine
had
no
sheets,
or
blanket,
or
pillow
on
and
one
of
the
women
told
me
that
earlier
in
the
day
people
had
come
in
and
taken
it
all
away
because
the
girl
who
had
been
sleeping
in
that
bed
had
lice
or
something
like
that...
So,
I
called
the
receptionist
who
had
not
been
made
aware
of
the
bed
situation
and
seemed
confused.
She
told
me
to
wait
a
little
and
that
she
thinks
she
can
find
another
room
for
me.
I
asked
if
it
would
be
a
women-only
room
like
this
one
and
she
said
‘I
think
so.’
Yet
when
she
took
me
to
my
new
room
a
short
while
later
there
were
two
guys
there
and
so
I
asked
if
this
is
instead
a
mixed
room,
meaning
that
there
will
be
guys
but
there
will
also
be
other
women
in
the
room
beside
me.
‘Yes,
it
is,
I
am
sorry’,
she
responded
confirming
my
hope
that
at
least
I
will
not
be
the
only
woman
in
this
room.
However,
as
the
evening
progressed
two
more
guys
came
to
sleep
in
the
room
and
there
were
never
any
other
women.
I
was
left
to
spend
a
night
in
a
room
with
four
men
despite
the
fact
that
I
had
paid
for
a
women’s
room
in
advance.
I
find
that
highly
inappropriate
and
also
very,
very
unprofessional
on
the
part
of
the
hostel.
Why
did
nobody
warn
the
receptionist
or
me
earlier
in
the
day
that
there
was
a
problem
with
the
bed
in
which
I
was
supposed
to
sleep?
Did
it
not
cross
somebody’s
mind
that
there
are
other
people
who
would
have
to
sleep
in
that
bed
in
the
very
near
future?
The
receptionist
did
not
even
warn
me
that
I
would
be
sleeping
in
a
room
with
men
and
acted
as
if
she
was
hoping
I
would
not
take
notice
of
that
even
though
I
had
specifically
asked
her
a
minute
earlier
if
I
would
still
be
able
to
sleep
in
a
women-only
room.
I
believe
I
should
be
partially
refunded
for
my
stay
at
this
place
and
I
sent
an
email
to
the
hostel
to
tell
them
that,
explaining
the
whole
situation
very
clearly.
They
never
responded,
which
I
find
reprehensible.
