This is a great place to hang out before sunset. What I really enjoyed was the view and all the different people of all ethnicity and background just hanging out. Nice breeze in the evenings and some guy was playing some music. I recommend coming here during your visit to Lisbon.

“Cais das colunas” is an amazing place to gathering with you friends and contemplate the beautiful Tejo river, specifically during afternoon, when you can admire one the most extraordinary sunset views in the whole city. It can a bit too crowded sometimes but it is all part of the show.

Ok place to hang out for a few minutes but not much to do other than stare at the sea. Still, a lot of tourists and locals alike hanging about. I'm pretty sure a fair number of them are pickpockets...

Not a great deal to it but it’s a nice spot. Nice place to sit down next to the water with good views of the square and main bridge.

One bird per every pillar :) Nice place to spot the sunset. Street musicians are often here, too. But beware on waves, they can reach you easily while you take a picture))

This is not something that you have to see, but if you are in the area, why not. It is an interesting landmark where the two columns lines the stairs that slowly descend into the Tagus River.

These two columns mark the original location of the port of Lisbon, which gave access to the main square, Praça do Comércio. Great spot to sit and relax by the water side next to the Rio Tejo.

Wir haben hier einen tollen Abend mit traumhaftem Sonnenuntergang erlebt. Das Ufer lädt zum Verweilen ein und die Wellen untermalen die Szenerie akustisch. Toller Blick auf die Brücke!

We stopped here and sat to drink coffee and listen to the waves one morning. There was someone making sand art and even for a cool February morning it was a busy place. A great picture opportunity and lots to see. Enjoy this beautiful place!

It's a nice point to enjoy the sunset in heart of Lisbon, nearby Tagus river. Don't forget to try the local grilled chestnuts with salt. Perfect snack for a glass of Portuguese wine.

Incredible views from here - perfect to watch the sunset. Lots of seating spots and usually it’s lively and with lots of people; sometimes also live music. Can recommend to enjoy a coffee or beer here 👌

This is an amazing little area near the Arco da Rua Augusta and the waterfront. There's some huge columns that are very lovel for photos and the nearby beach. Of course it's open 24 hours a day since it's literally a public square (or on the edge of one anyway).

Lovely public square flanked by these massive columns at one end, from which the main street starts. Open 24 hours. We went there at 9 PM and walked around till almost midnight. There are musicians playing lovely songs and lots of people, young and old, dancing under the columns. Really lovely atmosphere overall.

Late 18th-century quay with 2 columns flanking marble steps & sunset views across the Tagus River and the old port of Lisbon. The tide rises and falls about 5ft a day. We were there at low tide and you could see the original stones places to create the port. The columns are in Latin and Portuguese. Such a small quay, but such an amazing history.

Near the middle and all the fast trouble of Lisboa you find a small place to relax. You will meet young people in mind and body, interpreting their level of art in different styles. They welcome you and you can do same. Enjoy it! Sometimes it’s hard to see a high proportion of homeless people and the coast isn’t that clean as it could be. Don’t find the tourist traps 🪤… there are many… (we know it, well) 😉

The place is amazing for walk at end of the day and or just sit and listen to sound of water and birds flying. I think both locals and tourists come here often just to sit enjoy the sunset views, the vibe and view of the other side of the city. Best time to go there is when it is sunny at end of the day to get relaxed and enjoy the sunset, or in the morning for sunrise. During the day mostly when it is sunny it is quite crowded.

Cais de Colunas was a beautiful place that I visited while I was in Lisbon. The whole landscape is very picture with the low tides and the two columns. It is a must see place and most of the important places you can visit are Lisbon located at walkable distances from this place.

This place is my anti-stress with amazing views💙 You can see different types of water transport, high and low tides, calm and strong waves, a lot of seagulls, and also see a beautiful sunset🌅⛴️🌊 Musicians often play and sing nearby, it’s very atmospheric🎤💕 Also nearby is the Commerce Square and the 25 April Bridge can be seen in the distance🌉 You can sit in the shade or sunbathe☀️

Nice for a wander when it's quiet, gets very busy at certain times though, especially if the big cruise ships have docked. Lots of litter in the sea getting washed up unfortunately.

The location of this historic landmark is great, overlooking the Tagus River in Lisbon. The columns are an impressive sight and make for a great photo opportunity. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby to grab a drink or a bite to eat, and the atmosphere is lively and welcoming.

Great view over the river all day long, especially during the sunset. A historical landmarks of the city, where welcomed a lot of famous people, for instance queen Elizabeth. The low tide gets very slippery and dangerous, be careful!

It has a good view port in the evening of sunny days. If it has many comfortable chairs and places to chill, it would be great!

Off the Main Street restaurant that had outside seating. Picture menu to help decipher what items to choose. My wife took the whole fish and I took the seafood tower. Both were very good. Unfortunately mine was over cooked but edible. The veggies on both were either steamed or boiled. Choose a good bottle of wine. Enjoyed a few local pastries for dessert. Caution, make sure of your total prior to applying it to your credit card.
