On our first visit to Lisbon, we ended up here more or less by accident. My sister was quite tired, but felt attracted by the menu and the proximity to our apartment. I cannot give six stars, but this place deserves it. It is small, cosy and unpretentious, and the food is second to none. The atmosphere is homely, yet professional, a very difficult balance to strike. I really appreciated the way the food was presented, with such a distinctive attention to detail. We spoke English, but I expect French would have been fine too. We are only here for a three day weekend visit, but I already wonder if we might not come back.

Very nice interior, friendly staff, delicious food and good wine. I had Bacalhau c Natas and it was yummy. This Salted cod dish come in a modern twist, it is a cod fish with fries, onnion mixed into a pie. The fries-potatoes come in julienne form. The dish come with a salad lettuce, carrot and cherry tomatoes. Started was two breada pao with butter, bread coma hot and super fresh. Vinho verde a la casa was a goos choise. It is not expensive compare to quality you get. Be aware this place do not accept a card payment, but ATM is behind the corner. Can only highly recommend this restaurant.

A lovely calm atmosphere. Greeted nicely. The food was delicious. Highly recommend the muscle starter! We didn't have desert, only because we were full. The house white wine is perfect. If we were to return to the city, we would come again.

We couldn't find a restaurant that was not fully booked and this one was empty. We decided to go here as a last choice. The food was okay, I ordered a sea bass and it was tasty, my friend was not impressed with her order. This place is really pricey compared to other places around.Even for a starter €12 for 4 prawns. They gave us bread, olives and butter. We didn't even use the butter but they charged for all 3 stuff that we didn't even ordered.

This restaurant is fantastic. The ambiance is lovely, the food is so delicious and it is reasonably priced. We had the octopus and the pork cheeks and both were superb. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely evening. In a neighborhood full of tourist traps, this place is a real winner.

After being tired out by the numerous „tourist“-restaurants that try to lure you in with their menu-waving servers, we were so happy to find this place! We had the greatest fish here. The people are so kind and welcoming, we can only recommend eating here. We had the gold brass, white wine and dessert. Not only was everything beyond expectations, but also hunger stilling and fair priced! 5/5

AMAZING restaurant! We were very lucky to find this place on our stay in Lisbon. Great fish and desserts (try the roasted apple in port wine!). Lovely atmosphere and service as well. Highly recommended!

The place was clean, the food took a bit long to be served and was a bit salty, but nicely cooked. For the price I was expecting more. They accept only cash which is a bit unconvenient, because they told us so just when paying. For sure there was a small sign on the wall but was barely noticeable. The waitress was really nice but the owner a bit grumpy. I think they could accept some of the feedbacks for a better experience.

Cosy restaurant with friendly staff. I ordered the small steaks in Porto sauce. It tasted very nice, although the meat could be more saignant for my taste. Overall good experience, would recommend.

Had a wonderful dinner at O Barrigas tonight. Put your trust in Sondra, the proprietor. She recommended to roasted cod with potatoes and it was excellent. Everyone in our group enjoyed the food. Sondra was a hoot. She convinced my husband to try something that he normally would refuse (pork cheeks) and he LOVED them. She teased us in a friendly way and added to an already enjoyable night with friends.

This is truly a gem when it comes to dining in Lisbon. All of the dishes were wonderfully done, but the grilled prawns and the pork cheek with honey and rosemary were exceptional. The prices are very fair, especially considering that the portions are quite generous. Excellent service and wine list as well. Highly recommend.

I really liked this cozy, unpretentious, but fantastic restaurant. We had shrimp and fish rice, octopus with potatoes, and roasted duck. All dishes were cooked with care: the seasoning was excellent, and ingredients were cooked very nicely. The proprietor offered us excellent wine to go with the meal, and we really had a good time. If you want to avoid the tourist traps, and want some authentic, honest, Portuguese food, this is your place!

I would recommend this restaurant to every person visiting Lisbon. A hole in the wall, excellent Portuguese cuisine, cozy atmosphere, and affordable prices. We got the octopus and pork cheek entrees and they were absolutely delicious. 10/10!

I went there with 2 of my friends on Friday evening as soon as they opened. We were the only customer there at that time and it was very nice because we could start our meal in peace. We told the lady that she can bring us what ever portuguese people would eat and she can decide what we will have. It was definitely the right choise. We ate shrimps, swordfish, octopus and pork cheeks. Shrimps and octopus were absolutely delicious, the best I have ever tasted. You could taste the freshness and quality of the ingredients. The pork cheeks were also super tasty and were a perfect match with the seafood because it was on the other end of your taste pallette. Clearly very well thought from the lady. The wines were also chosen by the lady and they complemented the food perfectly. A pretty much perfect dinner with excellent customer service. The atmosphere was very cozy and peaceful. I highly recommend this place and would love to go there again.

We had the good fortune to come across this little gem when trying to find an authentic place to eat. Can't recommend it enough, if you're looking to experience authentic tasty Portuguese food. Quality of the ingredients is very high and you taste it in every dish. Atmosphere and service was fantastic!
