On March 10, my daughter and I took a night out just by ourselves for a much anticipated dinner at the Eneko, a one-star Michelin restaurant. It was an amazing experience. We ordered the Erroak menu, which was most delicious though on the rich-side and the presentation of the dishes were imaginative and full of surprises. However, 4 hours after our memorable meal, both of us got really sick with food poisoning, hit with diarrhea and vomiting. Now is the third day, while I recovered somewhat, my daughter is running a temperature and has had no intake of food since our dining at Eneko. I wonder if other guests also got food poisoning on that day and which menu they picked ti pin down the source.

Absolutely amazing experience! I surprised my fiancé with a dinner at Eneko for his birthday and I couldn’t be happier with my choice of restaurant. The entire Eneko team went above and beyond. I have never experienced food like I did that night. Excellent service, stunning and delicious dishes, and a surprise birthday cake in the end. Thank you to the entire Eneko team for an unforgettable night!

Beautiful space, beautiful service, a little heavy on umami flavors, but innovative dishes with flair and style. Most of all, wine pairings and the sommelier were some of the best ever. Great experience, I hope the check explores more sweet and sour flavors beyond umami and deep bitter. The dishes often felt one note and some, outrigbt muddy. Again, innovative, but lacking in excitement in the most important realm of taste. We tried both tasting menus but we're sorely disappointed as the courses progressed. Having visited other Michelin Star restaurants, my expectations were high and unfortunately, beyond the ambiance, they were not met. My father had his first visit to a place of this stature and I hoped it would be a treat to celebrate my graduation and job, and though we had great laughs and I had great drinks (he doesn't drink) we left hungry with bad tastes. I feel sorry to write such a review, truly. Everyone was generous and the service was impeccable. I want to be clear, the stars are solely for service and ambiance. It would get 1 star based on the food tast alone.

Hi , the whole experience from stepping in the restaurant to the end was great , the food was delicious and mouth watering in different taste and flavours, Claudia our waiter was amazing and excellent on all levels explaining about the food and the menu and restaurant…. And we thanks the in-house chief for over seeing our special request for gluten free dishes, different we go back again.

A truly mind-blowing experience. I was gifted the eneko menu including accompanying wines for my birthday. The restaurant is located next to a very busy highway bridge and doesn’t seem to be in the best neighbourhood. So we were surprised when we entered the restaurant and were greeted by the host. Really calm and quiet atmosphere, dimly lighted and soft music was playing. I don’t want to spoil so I won’t say much about the whole experience and the variety of the menu. The different dishes were prepared with so much precision and really round textures. Simply great. The staff was very welcoming aswell. I’d give the food 5/5 and the service and atmosphere 4,8/5. and I will definitely pay it a visit again

We went here for a fine dining experience and we were not disappointed. This was one of, if not the best meal we've ever had. The service was exceptional, the food thoughtful, and the wine a unique experience. If you can afford an experience like this, do it. It's an investment in the memory and you'll be glad you did.

Great 1 star Michelin restaurant, the culinary experience starts when you arrive to the restaurant, where you do a small aperitif with drinks and mignardise. Then you continue to your table, where you select your course from 2 options. The atmosphere is great and the food as well.

Hidden or not so hidden gem!! Best meal in Lisbon hands down, including a few other fancy places that we tried. Service is through the roof, unique experience, fun and delicious food. The wine pairing is a must if you want to try some rare and interesting wines, we loved it!

Great decoration, very theatrical. Plating was nice. Price was fine. Some drawbacks: several dishes could have had more taste. Those who didn’t get wine just got water, had expected a non alcoholic juice menu to be offered etc. Some serving had quite a wait between them (more than the usual wait at Michelin places). Had expected a more through wine presentation. So not at all a failure, but just a handful of noticeable shortcomings.

I have visited this restaurant some time ago. The food was absolutely delicious! It was one of, if not the best meal I have ever had! The restaurant delivers amazing quality, service, and intriguing flavors. Everything was well thought out, including amazing wine pairing. The dishes are truly unforgettable. After dining in many other Michelin-starred restaurants, I can say that Eneko delivers the highest quality. I highly recommend giving it a try!

Bliss! I made a reservation for 12:30 as I had to fly later on the same day and found out they shut down the place on Jan 1st. My invited friend and I were the only guests, so we enjoyed the whole place like ours.

Eneko is an interesting place with not only excellent cuisine but also mysterious atmosphere and friendly staff. The chef is in the open kitchen where everyone can see the dedicated work of him and his team. And at the end of the dinner, the chef will come to talk with you. With no exaggeration, each dish was a surprise from the picnic to the final petite four. I especially loved suckling pig and pesto, and the shrimp vegetable gel and frozen old tomato. I think it was the restaurant with price of a Michelin one star but quality of a three star. BTW, it was very sweet to change the dish containing my allergen, as well as the wine pairing.

We dined here for my birthday and it was such a lovely experience! They welcome you to a room with a gorgeous experience that mimics a misty forest with birds chirping. Everything was whimsical and carefully paired. Then they welcomed us to the dining room area and treated us to excellent dish after excellent dish with great service. In fact our waiter was so kind he gave us a list of places to see in Sintra and Lisbon. The food was an experience in and of itself. Our absolutely standout favorite dish was his egg speciality that we were lucky enough to try as it was on hiatus for a while. It was really special. The second favorite dish was the oxtail. I also loved the seaweed fermented drink given as a palette cleanser. It was all so beautiful and authentic to the Basque landscape with presentation to match. The portions are quite generous so we were very full, but very happy. They gave us a selection of chocolates and macarons to take home which was an unanticipated lovely gesture. They also accommodated my dietary restrictions which was really kind given the fixed nature of the menus.

Our favorite Michelin restaurant in Lisbon. It is a visual and sensory experience. Have been twice and recommend it to all our visitors. If you want to feel spoiled, surprised and immersed in more than just a fine dining experience, this is it.

We went last Friday 19th October with 6 persons. The food was in general good. We did a wine pairing and this was outrageous expensive if you look at the quantities and the price we had to pay, 96 euro each for the wine and we literal really got a drop in our glass. Only Portugese wines . Again, quantity and value aren’t balanced, overrated. In the Netherlands we would call it “drivers wine pairing”. Even in this case, drivers pairing, it would be more generous. My advice is also that the staff could be more emphatic, they are friendly, but very static and programmed. Last but not least, one of our friends was a bit earlier and he had to wait in a cold entrance (hall way) for almost 15 minutes. Not a cozy warm place what you would expect in a star restaurant. All in all some points for improvement. The potential is there.

eneko provided a fabulous multi-sensory experience, with unique flavours and textures. i also appreciate how unpretentious the staff were, always helpful and cheerful. i had nothing to complain about, and wonderful memories to keep. we even got a special birthday cake treat, which was an awesome touch to an already fulfilling experience. thank you eneko and staff! well done!

All I can guess is that it was a 'Mid-week, off night'. The theatrical aspect was ok, and clearly the purely technical side of the cooking is first rate. Service was Michelin star too. HOWEVER the (tasting) dishes have to be delicious as well, and they simply weren't. Nearly all of them were completely unbalanced, some parts bordering inedible. Sorry, we ate really well in Portugal, and especially in Porto, but this was a rare miss.

Best dinner experience I've had recently. My wife and I tried both menus and liked every course we got. Definitely try it out if you are in Lisbon.

Impeccable food, excellent service and a fantastic experience overall. Amazing culinary journey through inventive and sophisticated flavours; you’ll be so full and satisfied by the end yet yearning for it to be endless. The chef examines every plate before it hits your table, so you know you’re only getting the best. Wine pairing was fantastic as well! Thank you to the team for a wonderful dinner!

1 star on its way to 3 stars! Really quite a cute/fun experience. But of course the food was also very creative, different, beautiful and delicious!! We've eaten at dozens of Michelin restaurants and this was one of the most memorable so far. It has all the components of a unique and memerable meal. Also the wine pairing was very interesting as it not only worked really well with most of the dishes, but the wines were very interesting and different all on their own. Great exposure to Portuguese grapes and wine makers. Oh, also we thought the pacing between courses was great 😊 - so many fine dining places are too slow.

One of the finest dining experiences I have enjoyed thus far. Incredibly accommodating of all dietary restrictions or even preferences. Execution of technique, flavour, presentation and attention to detail make this restaurant a must-visit when in Lisbon. A fine spin on Basque cuisine!
