Could be the worst university for erasmus students in Lisbon due to their international office workers and their attitudes. If you are an erasmus student, and reading the comments for your application process, you probably noticed that bad comments are from non-native, international students. However, the comments which seen as okay, come from Portuguese students. I, personally, have seen the way the erasmus office workers do work, and also heard it from different erasmus students at this university. None of them was okay, sadly. I have been waiting for a single signature on my document since March 17/19! They sent a document with a signature in June, and the interesting part is that they signed the wrong paper, and did not even check if it was the correct one! I sent them an email right away, however, I am still waiting for a single signature since March, and it is almost end of June... I did not heard any good comments about the international office workers from any erasmus students at Lusufona. But I think Lisbon is worth it...

Let's get one thing straight - this university is the worst possible choice for international students (like Erasmus exchange). There are no classes for foreigners (there is neither organisation for international students nor some kind of buddy-program), I had to enroll on a classes with local students. As the main language was portuguese, professors decided that I will learn on my own or write some essays and it will be fine. That's where the fun begins. Almost none of them told me what exactly should I do, it was also hard to catch them as sometimes they weren't even coming for their own classes (!). Some of them hardly ever replied for emails, and even if they did, it took them a month (on average). Evaluation system is another, long story. For example, one of the professors assigned a presentation for me, and other one was evaluating it - the latter one said that the topic is wrong, even though the first one gave me clear instructions what to prepare. Organisation isn't any better. International office wasn't helpful as they left me on my own, also replied for urgent matters after few weeks and provided misleading informations. It was terrible experience, I'm glad it's finally over.

Don't recommend this "university" to anybody. Here is reasons why: - stuff is unbelievably unprofessional, anytime you have a problems and really ask help, they just reply: "everything is in internet", they will never help you with anything. - another point of their unprofessionalism, that communication between departments is really poor. so if you should do smth in one department(let's say erasmus), they will not automatically provide this information to other departments they should provide and you gonna have problems because of their irresponsibility or just no carrying about you. how they solve any problems? they just put a fees to your account and you just always have to pay. - about payments, this "university" mission is just take as much as they can money from you, not to make from you a great specialist. you gonna pay for everything they can create. they even change prices for stable payment what you had in your contract. literally you can triple price for university they telling you. - okay, you can ask why they changing price or adding some fee or why points for subjects from you account disappearing (so you have to pay for retaking exam and retake it again), the answers on that kind of questions: just ignoring your emails or "we don't know, it should be like this" or just will make an idiot from you, that it's all your fault and you should know everything. One more time, before you apply your docs there, reach current or ex students in fb group and ask about this horrible place.

Probably the most disorganised and unprofessional higher education institution in Portugal. Steer clear.

Way to expensive in some courses for the type of teaching and education that they provide. Ridiculous secretary work.

Organized, receptive campus, with extensive student services and assistance. It contains a restaurant, canteen, print shop, library, auditorium, cafes, study locations and academic support, as well as a research center and support for internships and jobs for students.

Today our dear Nayra left 🤍🐾 and still, I'm going to give it 5 stars. It must be something unprecedented, losing a daughter, and praising a Veterinary Hospital, but yes, that's what we feel. I explain briefly... We found Nayra 6 years ago, already ill. Someone thought she was a burden, and abandoned her. We welcome her. From urinary infections, bladder stones, kidney failure, chronic diarrhea, hunger strikes... You're watching the film... There were many visits to different veterinarians, in an attempt to find solutions to the problems, but they did little or nothing. The usual thing was blood tests, urine tests, x-rays, ultrasound, and a bill to pay between €200 and €400, just to tell me what I already knew. Chronic patients, with stress, with specific dietary needs, and probiotics. New solutions, nothing. If it weren't for me, looking for alternative solutions, such as homemade pates, B vitamin supplements, Royal Canin Recovery tubes, large doses of love and patience, you would have been gone a long, long time ago. In the last 4 days, Nayra's health started to deteriorate again. We went to a new hospital, the same movie started. They wanted to analyze everything and anything else, they asked for €650 for 48 hours of hospitalization. We managed to get it down to €368 for 24 hours. Nobody can afford these prices, and they recommended the Lusófona University Veterinary Hospital to us. Without money, and without hope, we went to the hospital yesterday, I explained the situation, and I got a place to transfer Nayra to your care. For the first time, in 10 veterinary clinics/hospitals, I met people who prioritize animal health and well-being over money. It's ironic... The cheapest place has the most helpful and competent professionals, but it's true. I want to thank Mr. Gustavo, at the customer service desk, who works non-stop to speed up the processes as best as possible. As soon as he heard Nayra's situation, he immediately went to speak to the doctor, who accepted the transfer. As soon as we arrived, he saw Nayra's critical condition and took her to medical care. Nayra came in with a temperature of 35°. (Normal is 37°), with hypothermia, dehydration, anorexia and kidney failure. Not even 5 minutes had passed, Dr. Carolina was already calling us. We were afraid that the therapeutic approach would be the same until then, fortunately, it was not. Let someone understand, the most important thing is not to do all the tests right away, but to stabilize the cat. Analyze only the essentials, prioritize vitality, and regular exams in the following days. Thank you Dr. Carolina. Today at 10:00, Dr. Sara calls me. With all the kindness in the world, the Doctor explained how fragile Nayra was, with all the care and affection in the words she chose, saying that she would most likely not survive. No matter how many thermal blankets and heaters they put on, the temperature continued to drop, today it reached 32°... He requested our visit with the utmost urgency. Today at 1:00 pm, I arrive at the hospital to see Nayra. When I enter the office, I see Nayra on Dr. Sara's lap, I felt that I was on someone's lap who truly felt the same anguish as I did, as a tutor. Concern, care and affection. He very kindly explained to me that unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done. Deeply sad, I saw that I was right when I looked into Nayra's eyes. And we had to make the most difficult decision, so as not to prolong his suffering. Thank you Dr. Sara, I felt that Nayra was in good hands with you today. At 4:00 pm my partner arrives, so we can make the decision together, and so it was. Dr. Inês was the one who accompanied us through the euthanasia process. With great calm, patience and sensitivity, he explained the process to us. He gave us the necessary time, without any pressure regarding the decision. It was hard... It was very hard, but Dr. Inês managed to smooth the progress. Thank you Dr. Inês. I'm just sorry I didn't find you sooner. In the end, we paid €120, if it had been elsewhere, it would have been at least €400. Thank you for everything 🫂🤍🐾

I had a very challenging experience with the Veterinary Hospital of Universidade Lusófona. We've spent over 800€ so far, without a clear diagnosis or treatment plan for our cat. Each visit left our cat extremely stressed, and it seemed like he wasn't treated well there. One major issue was the inconsistency in doctors, with no effort to review our cat's history or communicate effectively. This led to contradictory diagnoses. The reception's lack of responsiveness to emails was also frustrating. My last appointment today to discuss TAC results was very disappointing. The doctor couldn't provide clarity and said they needed an internal meeting. This felt like a waste of time and was disrespectful. I hope these issues can be addressed for the sake of both pets and clients.

Very interesting research program totally ruined by terrible secretary service and administration. Don't expect real communication by the GIP academic services. They will (eventually) wake up when is about money. Such a shame, you should look somewhere else.

This university leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to the organization of the secretariat. They take a long time to respond to emails, there are competences (like SAPA) where the only way to get in touch is by email, and when we go to SIGA to complain about something, they say that the matter does not concern them, but when it is time to send it payment messages are part of the same institution!
