It's ridiculously expensive for absolutely no reason. It used to be the best place to get fruit, meat and specially fish. But now none of those are good anymore. We've gotten ill twice due to in store cut melons. And we've been dupped several times by "promotions" (see included example) It's really sad quality dropped significantly and prices keep skyrocketing.

I am writing this review in English to reach as many individuals as possible. I have been a loyal customer of ECI for over 3 years and have recently had a number of very uncomfortable incidents while shopping at the Lisboa store. I have spoken directly with the duty managers of your security personal to provide them with this feedback however it seems to have fallen on deaf ears. Just again this past Sunday on 12 November 2023, my mother and I while shopping were treated in an extremely disrespectful manner by both the in-house staff at the supermarket and the store security personel. Being followed around as if we were trespassing/shoplifters is certainly not a efficient tactic to achieve customer retention or ensure that those who enter will be comfortable and feel welcomed so that they want to spend money. It's also unacceptable that as a loyal local customer who frequently shops there that I am made to feel targeted and unwelcome. This is far from what one expects when shopping at the country's only higher end department store and given the high numbers of international visitors the staff should be trained/sensitized to recognize and accommodate everyone regardless of misconceived prejudices which result in profiling. In 2023 this approach (although sadly recurrent) is antiquated and quite frankly a reason to take one's business elsewhere.

The variety is good, although, if you want really unusual food items from other cuisines you have to go elsewhere to more specialised supermarkets. But for normal day to day food elements this is a good option.

Part of the mall of the same name is a great supermarket. They have a wide variety of products and their prices are very reasonable. While browsing its long sections for other things you are looking for, it offers you different options from different brands from different countries. It is a great place for shopping, especially as all products such as fruit, vegetables, meat and fish are in good condition and fresh.

Ok, for my fellow North American peeps, this is NOT a supermarket! This is a high end shopping store (similar to Holt Renfrew if you're Canadian or Nordstrom if you're American) with a food market, cafeteria and wine store on the top floor. Brands range from Levi's all the way up to Breitling, Rolex, Jimmy Choo and Prada. Excellent customer service no matter how casual you are dressed, but unless you're in the mood to buy some luxury brands on vacation or some high end confectionery goods or wines and teas there is no reason to go shopping here. If you're looking for fine wines though, head to the top floor for a great selection.

Too crowded and immensely warm inside. Herbs were lacking variety, down to parsley and cilantro, no more. Huge queues on every section. Parking is hard.

This is NOT a supermarket but a “specialty food market” with lots of gourmet and imported goods. Perfect if you’re looking for the above mentioned, not so perfect if you don’t like spending five bucks for water.

Love this Super Mercado. Staff very helpful and happy to speak English with me. The fresh orange juice machine next to the premium produce stand is awesome. Simply choose a bottle size, place under the spout and lift/push the spout until your bottle is full. If the juicer runs out or oranges, just let the produce person know and it will b refilled. They are less expensive options around, but the quality, convenience, and selection at this store are great.

I am a huge fan of their vegan options and overall store offerings. Just wish all the vegan options were in one place rather than spread around such a huge space between the freezer sections and the health section and interspersed all over the store.

I had a shopping list that my friend gave me and to be honest I didn't have a clue what I was buying. The lovely lady who works on the international food was amazing and she even recommended other products. She help me with my list. Awesome service and she was so friendly.

Understanding that she is working on a holiday but there is no reason to be so impolite. No come back when she is taking the orders. Just to add the Entrecôte is way to expensive for what had been served! Cold Batatas fritas caseiras and what you you see on the displays out side be sure that will not come on the plate.

Has everything you could desire from cat litter, to a barber, to premium foods, to furniture! My husband and I go at least once every 10 days. Such a lifesaver and enjoyable place to shop; no loud music or crowds. Restaurants on top level are nice as well.

This is one of the few supermarkets in lisbon that has a specific variety of products for high end customers. Prices are slightly higher but the selection of products, from produce to wines or meat is worth it! Very high quality!
