am
writing
this
review
in
English
to
reach
as
many
individuals
as
possible.
I
have
been
a
loyal
customer
of
ECI
for
over
3
years
and
have
recently
had
a
number
of
very
uncomfortable
incidents
while
shopping
at
the
Lisboa
store.
I
have
spoken
directly
with
the
duty
managers
of
your
security
personal
to
provide
them
with
this
feedback
however
it
seems
to
have
fallen
on
deaf
ears.
Just
again
this
past
Sunday
on
12
November
2023,
my
mother
and
I
while
shopping
were
treated
in
an
extremely
disrespectful
manner
by
both
the
in-house
staff
at
the
supermarket
and
the
store
security
personel.
Being
followed
around
as
if
we
were
trespassing/shoplifters
is
certainly
not
a
efficient
tactic
to
achieve
customer
retention
or
ensure
that
those
who
enter
will
be
comfortable
and
feel
welcomed
so
that
they
want
to
spend
money.
It's
also
unacceptable
that
as
a
loyal
local
customer
who
frequently
shops
there
that
I
am
made
to
feel
targeted
and
unwelcome.
This
is
far
from
what
one
expects
when
shopping
at
the
country's
only
higher
end
department
store
and
given
the
high
numbers
of
international
visitors
the
staff
should
be
trained/sensitized
to
recognize
and
accommodate
everyone
regardless
of
misconceived
prejudices
which
result
in
profiling.
In
2023
this
approach
(although
sadly
recurrent)
is
antiquated
and
quite
frankly
a
reason
to
take
one's
business
elsewhere.
