Avenue
clinic
could
do
SO
MUCH
BETTER.
I
went
to
Avenue
for
sun-spot
lasering.
The
dermatologist
was
late
for
our
initial
consultation
(by
about
35
minutes),
then
late
for
the
actual
treatment
appointment
(by
about
25
minutes).
When
your
parking
meter
is
ticking
and
you
have
children
that
need
to
be
collected
from
school,
this
is
not
helpful.
It
turns
out
he
is
based
in
Porto.
It
was
chaos.
The
multiple
preparation
creams
he
told
me
to
buy
were
unavailable
in
any
chemist
I
went
to,
and
not
offered
by
Avenue.
On
the
day
of
the
treatment
he
did
not
offer
me
numbing
gel
so
the
process
was
agony,
rushed,
and
sadly
yielded
no
results.
The
25
minutes
I
spent
in
the
waiting
room
could
so
easily
have
been
used
for
applying
numbing
gel,
if
they
had
only
offered
it.
The
clinic
then
charged
me
the
full
amount
with
no
apologies.
By
contrast
at
a
clinic
in
Singapore
(Sylvia's
Skin
Clinic,
should
you
happen
to
be
travelling)
they
welcomed
me
on
time
at
the
initial
consultation,
took
computer
images
of
surface
and
subterranean
sun
damage,
and
offered
me
preparation
creams.
A
month
later
at
the
appointment
they
took
me
to
a
private
room
where
they
had
me
lie
down
and
applied
numbing
gel
to
my
face
whilst
listening
to
calming
music.
The
treatment
took
place
15
minutes
later
calmly
and
without
pain,
and
yielded
great
results.
These
are
very
achievable
differences
but
until
they
get
themselves
sorted
out
I
would
recommend
finding
a
more
thoughtful,
less
chaotic
clinic
than
Avenue.
