👍👍 Extensive display of model aircraft and equipment used in conflicts from WWI to present day. Military vehicles that you can climb into if desired. Excellent WWI Trench exhibition to top it off. Really friendly staff and a cheap entrance fee make it a must visit if you're into history. People often mention museum, military, history, Portuguese, vehicles, visit, good,

Brilliant little place and a must see if around the Belem Tower. This place is excellent value for money, €5 per person (as of Mar 2023). Lots of exhibits to see, including a WWI trench simulation. Some vehicles can be accessed and provide rare photo opportunities. The staff were really nice and friendly also. Highly recommend.

Waw!Amazing museum. Ticket for entire is 4€ per person. We bot the tickets at the entrance. No queue. A lot of things to see. A lot of military transport . On the territory they have a tank that you are allowed to enter inside. The area is clean and tidy. Well organised. Arrows where to go. We really like it. Museum is good for kids and large groups. Recommend 100%.

Came here to Belém with other things in mind and ran into this place. Unfortunately, it was close due to them having a private celebration (was the reason given to me). It looks interesting from the outside.

A place that keeps the history of the fighters in defense of Portugal, I recommend it.

Nice military museum located next to the Belem tower. There are models of planes and warships, as well as displays of uniforms and weapons used over the years by the Portuguese army. There are also several military vehicles and disused artillery pieces, as well as dedicated rooms where it is possible to learn the history of the Portuguese armed forces. The ticket price is only €5, and it's worth every penny.

A lovely preservation of history. English translations for all of the main exhibitions, with only a couple of the smaller ones being exclusively in Portuguese. Extensive display of model aircraft and equipment used in conflicts from WWI to present day. Military vehicles that you can climb into if desired. Excellent WWI Trench exhibition to top it off. Really friendly staff and a cheap entrance fee make it a must visit if you're into history.

Rather than taking part in the endless queue for the Belém Tower, we preferred to visit this historical museum and we were very satisfied. The welcome was very pleasant. The museum is well maintained and the historical explanations very well presented. We learned a lot. With the Lisboa Card we got a small discount.

Very interesting place if you are interested in the history of army. It is better if there is more English translation because some of exhibit were written only in Portuguese and difficult to understand.

Decent small military museum dedicated to portugues military history. A somewhat eclectic mix of weapons and vehicles, likely mostly from donations, but well presented. The entrance fee is very reasonable and the gentleman at the ticket booth was very pleasant. Well worth a visit if in the area.

We came across this museum by chance while walking through Belém. Entrance per person €5 and there are many interesting exhibitions and exhibits to see. Sometimes we missed the absence of an English translation, but nowadays everyone has Google Lens, so it's not a problem to translate the text. I recommend it to everyone who is interested in the history of the army, air force or weapons and other technology. We visited on a Sunday for lunch and there were no queues.

(Translated by Google) Excellent museum. At first it seems that it consists only of models and mannequins. But after the inside, there is a large area with real guns, mortars, mortars, howitzers, etc., armored vehicles, helicopters, and even a piece of an airplane) The ticket is 4 euros in total.

Most of it is Portuguese only, keep in mind before visiting.

Small military museum, very inexpensive entertainment tickets, mix of WWI to recent past military equipment and guns, some Portuguese Colonial history ( not in English) , over all worth a short visit if one happens to be in the area.
