Here’s my honest and long review: Pros: The staff is very friendly, they let us keep our luggage after checking out. The location is great as we were close to the center and everything was on average 10-15min walk away from us. The breakfast was okay too. Cons: the hotel is old and the carpets look dirty. Our room was pretty dirty and small which is okay for us if it were cleaner (the pillows were very old) and you could see dust on the blue back of the bed. The cleaning lady was very nice but she was most of the days cleaning all the rooms alone, please hire more people to help her, I felt bad for her. As I said the location is great in terms of distance from the center but the area is not the best. I wouldn’t say that I felt unsafe, but I definitely didn’t feel very safe as well. There are also two restaurants very close to the hotel which made our room smell like food all the time. Also, if you have long hair, please bring your own shampoo and conditioner. There’s no conditioner in the bathroom and the shampoo is sooo bad, it’s like hand soap and made my hair very dry. Overall, if you are travelling on a tight budget, this hotel is okay and does the job. But if you can pay a bit more, I would definitely recommend another hotel. I personally wouldn’t stay at this hotel again or recommend it to a friend. I honestly was a bit misled by the 4.2 stars review we saw on Google and the pictures that made the room look cleaner, so please don’t be.

It is not expensive but we expected better quality. The room is really small. The bathroom is even smaller. A shower, toilet is cramped into the bathroom and a really small sink. Luckily, we had a small kitchen in our room to brush our teeth and wash our faces. Opening the window results in a smell of fried chips and meat, and noise in the room. The towels smell and the bedsheets had stains. I would not recommend this hotel.

This hotel is not fancy but it is very clean in a very great location and the staff was amazing. Helena and Camilla were excellent

Super good bedroom i love it, the one with two separate beds that are together; one of my best experiences in a hotel. Very clean , very beautiful everything is 20 minuto walking which is lovely. Great Staff

Really impressed with the value for the room we got. Very spacious family room with a good range of amenities, including a microwave and mini fridge. Staff were lovely and very helpful and responsive. Location is great, minutes away from shops, restaurants and the beach front. Breakfast was free, but in my opinion, it could be better. A couple of times, the hot options were cold. For what it is, it's edible food with a decent amount of variety. Would I stay again? Absolutely.

The area around the hotel is not the best, but it’s near to Rossio. The room was comfy and very pretty. The breakfast ist okay, not very much but it’s okay. The big negative experience for us were the two women at the reception: the young woman with the short brown hair, she was no help and doesn’t know anything about touristic things, which I find odd when working in a hotel? Also, the old woman with the black-grey hair is not very nice. When we made a comparison to hotels in our country she said that we are wrong about the hotels in our own country and that she knows better - she was super aggressive and rude while saying that. I did not talk with her anymore because she is super rude and it seems like talking to her makes no sense. But be aware: she knows everything better and has a rude way of talking to people. However, the blond receptionist with the longer hair was really friendly and helpful, she saved the day!

We prebooked a standard double room in this hotel almost 5 months in advance and got room 408 on arrival. The room was so small (11-12 sq.m. including bathroom) that we couldn't even unpack our luggage and this room should NEVER have been sold as a double room but as a small single room. Funny enough there are no pictures online of this room, so we definitely felt cheated. We had 3 nights booked but checked out before time and found a much better hotel nearby for a better price. Price 80 Euros per night sounded good but was a waste of money. To the management: You have our details if you should ever consider a refund

Very welcoming and nice stuff...the room was clean and big. The hotel is so close to everything so it's so easy to go everywhere. The breakfast also fantastic!!!!totally recommended 👌

The photos of this hotel gave us the wrong impression of what to expect: - The neighborhood was a bit sketchy. While it was not unsafe, it didn’t feel comfortable walking here at night. - The rooms are decent, but small. - While generally the rooms were clean, there was mold and limescale in the bathroom. - The breakfast, which is included, was okay-ish but gave hostel vibes. Not everything was fresh and of good quality. - The elevator was out of service and for a reason the walls of our room was only halfway painted. The hotel lacked finishing of details. If you pay the 50 or 60 euros at night as stated in the brochure in the room it is fine, if you pay more, you’re better off choosing another hotel.

The room was spacious and clean, and the mattress was decent. The breakfast room was quite small and you had to book a time for your breakfast. The hotel is a bit old but if is 15 min walk from the Rossio square. Overall, you get what you pay for.

Wir würden das Hotel nicht empfehlen. Die Einrichtung des Zimmers war zwar neu, jedoch empfanden wir den Geruch im Innern des Zimmers als sehr unangenehm. Wir haben selten so ein schlechtes Frühstück gehabt. Der Frühstücksraum ist lieblos gestaltet. Das Essen ist überhaupt nicht schmackhaft gewesen. Bereits ab 21:00 Uhr hatte man ein unbehagliches Gefühl vor der Hauseingangs-Tür. Dort treffen sich viele Menschen, denen man lieber nicht begegnen möchte.

Good location near Martim Moniz metro station and city center. Right ahead of the hotel is Tram 28 stop (the most legendary lisbon tram). The breakfast were nothing special and the dining room was really small.

Would never stay here again. The room has a smell, the window doesn't open, "balcony" doors do open but the smell from a restaurant across is very strong. On top of it, cat feceis are everywhere to be seen in the yard, air-conditioning noise is very loud and constant, breakfast is poor, towels are hung above the toilet... am stunned they are allowed to operate.

Excellent stay! Staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially the girl with curly hair. Room was well equipped for a few days. Comfortable, cute, and well-located. Good breakfast too.

Not really worth my 100€ / night. Rooms looked better in the pictures, but they smelled a bit to sewage. And I spotted a mouse crossing my room at night. Staff was friendly and let me store my luggage for a couple of hours. I'll definitely look somewhere else to stay next time.

We travelled to Lisbon in the middle of February. The place was good, but one thing that bothered us was the smell. It smelt like drains and also smelt really damp. Also another thing was that the bathroom was quite small. The breakfast was just not up to our expectations and we decided to eat elsewhere. The location however was amazing and there were many restaurants around. It was very convenient as there were metro stations nearby. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful which made the stay a lot better. They have a microwave, kettle, cutlery and plates so you can get whatever food you need and just heat it up. There were also a few supermarkets nearby so you could get whatever you really need including a pharmacy next to the supermarket across the road. It was alright for a short stay but wouldn’t recommend for a long time.

Newly renovated hotel, 10 minute walk to Rossio,room was big ,very clean and very quiet.Breakfast was good with selection of sweet cakes and biscuits,bread and spreads,cold meats and cheese and eggs and bacon plus hot and cold drinks.Done on buffet so plenty of chance to go back if hungry.Breakfast space small but sign in for 8 ISH and not too busy.Overall an excellent stay.

The hotel itself is not in a great area. Although it is a bit shady, it was within walkable distance to big landmarks and other tourist locations. Our experience with the staff was mostly positive and the breakfast was good, albeit repetitive. However, our room had a really poor smell throughout the entire stay. It was of sewage and strong spice, neither of which were pleasant.

First of all, staff is super friendly. What a great team who really care about making you feel comfortable. They speak Portuguese, Spanish, English, Italian. From the front desk, cleaning room service and restaurant service they all deserve our congrats. Hard working women! We booked a room (a medium sized one) for three nights but when there, we asked for one more night, they gave us the room we couldn't ask for more (the one I posted in here). Lovely space. Lisbon 5 is a nice and cared place to stay, quiet and warm. Breakfasts are complete, you can choose among types of bread and pastry tho, eggs, coffee, yogurt, fresh fuit, juice,etc. Rooms are clean, towels, showers with medium pressure of water. Lisbon 5 it's located right on one of the main avenues in the city, pretty near to Plaça Moniz (Tram, Metro) or take a walk. We definitely want to come back. Me and my fiance can highly recommend Lisbon 5, thumbs up!

I can see why many people experience their stay to be in a loud place. If you request for a room at the back, it's 100% quiet, we even sleep with windows open for airflow and still slept like a baby. The breakfast buffet is top notch with lots of options. The staff are helpful and the room is very clean. Not many plugs in the room though. The room and bathroom in general is small but has everything you need. I hope they fix the wifi. It's fast but for some reason it's hard to connect to the wifi. I don't know if it's because of thick walls or multiple wifi extender, either way, the wifi was not reliable for us.

What I can say! We had amazing time here. Hotel is fabulous, clean and our room was just beautiful decor. Very comfortable bed and huge shower. Breakfast was really good. Staff are friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Hotel Lisbon 5. I would definitely stay here again, again and again.

Extremely unprofessional and unreliable. They canceled my booking 2 days before my arrival based on the excuse that I didn’t answer their phone call , as i was in a retreat and i had no access to my phone.

Hotel matches the price. Good location, recently renovated bathrooms, rest of the room not in the best condition, but for 1 night right in the city center, more than fair

Really nice and comfortable spot. We were on the first floor and I was nervous it might be too noisy from the street, but the windows were perfect for blocking out noise. Good value for money.

Just for a night sleep is considered "OK". Bedsheets were a bit smelly like kind of mould or sth. Locationwise is in central Lisbon but the neighborhood is a bit rough. Service is ok. No reception after 23:00. Main door of the building is open 24hrs.
