😠 Worst support form employees. Had to divide my family in different trains cause they lied about vacancy seats towards our destination. We checked it online and their Client Support Department didn't do anything about it. People often mention train, trains, service, ticket, travel, Lisbon,

Terrible and unreliable service due to laziness of portuguese workers. If you want to travel around Portugal take Flixbus or rent a car!

Lisbon has 4th world public transportation and CP doesn't get behind. In Brussels there's trains from 10 to 10 min to Amsterdam. In Lisbon you'll have to wait 30 min just to go to the suburbs. This is why all Portuguese drive cars.

Could you please stop publicizing trains on your app that are in fact not operating. This is the third time I have been stranded in a town due to strikes yet your app says there are no strikes, so I walk all the way to the station, buy my ticket, then wait for the train that never comes, and then I am stuck in a town for an extra 2,3,4 hours OR I am forced to pay for a city-city Uber if I am in a rush.

Traveling from Lisbon to Porto. This is a 3+-hour trip (that at the end was 4+ hours) in a train with no air conditioning, where you can only open a few small windows per car (on a 40-degree celsius day did not make a difference). Also, this train has only one outlet to charge your phone in a space for 4 people. So far, nobody has checked I have a ticket for this trip. Next time I might travel for free. Portugal has a lot to learn from Spain and other European countries about train infrastructure.

Super disorganized. Unclear directions. Late trains. Lack of staff. No one to make sure people adhere to assigned seats. No phone chargers in trains. People smoking in the hallways. Worst trains I’ve ever used.

The trains run frequently and on time. They are fairly comfortable, however, the ticket purchasing system is dated. Many of the machines are broken or operating at limited capacity. We have learned that it’s always better to purchase from a human attendant, for which there are almost always lineups. Be sure to budget this extra time into your trip.

Worst train company in Europe by far. You should not use this company and instead travel by bus - Flixbus, Rede Expresso, etc. Very expensive for a very low quality service, there are no responsibility for schedules, constantly missing trains, even in the same day. The trains are old and very badly cleaned, the staff does not speak english and are not friendly at all, and it is an overall since it happened in Porto, Lisbon and Aveiro ticket posts. The bar service is awful even in the most expensive train, where they say you'll have internet, or even toilets, and the internet does not work and the toilets are worst than in summer music festivals. WORST TRAIN COMPANY EVER!

Took the first class train from Albufeira to Lisbon. The train had severely insufficient air conditioning which was ghastly in the hot summer heat with a fully loaded train car. All passengers were sweating and ver quite discomforted. Also, train bathrooms were disgustingly unhygienic. The whole train ride experience this time was a textbook exercise in torture. This might have been an anomaly as the previous train ride was very comfortable and efficient… but it still had a nauseating unhygienic bathroom. Train bathrooms didn’t have running water. Best travel advice is to hold it for the ride duration.

5 stars simply because they have a really easy refund process and I didn’t have to call them to get it. In these times you’d be surprised how many companies won’t honor a refund due to their own financial crisis with the pandemic. Doesn’t leave a lot of room for tourists to make booking mistakes so I appreciate the refund so I can book my correct form of travel. I would book with them in the future simply for this reason.

Such a good government owned business! Two strikes in a month, and the first one left everyone waiting for a non-arriving train after working hours. Nobody can give you any info. Super nice

Really bad service, the 2nd class has "better" conditions and perks than the 1st. Dirty seats and floor. Old and stinky trains.

The worst railway service in EU. Even travelled with AP from Porto to Lisbon, no wifi, no airconditioning.

1st class on the train is actually quite good. The online purchasing system on the other hand is really poor. Unreal that in 2022/2023 we still have major providers with online tech from the 90's 🤯. On top of that the food they sell on the train supplied by Confeitaria Elvina Lda. is beyond understanding terrible. Still cannot understand how the CP has a supply manager still hired who approved that garbage food products. Not worth to feed a dog even.... Unreal... Fire the supply manager!

Train had a 15 minute delay, nothing terrible. The only thing I would mention is that they have no vegetarian options in the food menu on board, let alone for vegans..

Lousy system, crazy suburban, only the long-distance trains are pleasant. The city ticket system without the option to purchase online is simply not up to date...

Without a doubt the worst ‘customer service’ I’ve ever experienced in Portugal, or any EU country. If I could give them zero stars I would. CP are world leaders in apathy and ignorance. I recommend you to hire a car if you need to travel in Portugal. CP should be your last option. I have spent 7 months trying to get a refund for a cancelled €30 ticket. I have sent 20+ emails to CP with no response. The emails just vanish into the super massive black hole that is CP ‘customer service’. There is no excuse for not refunding a ticket in 7 months and at this point I consider it theft. Their trains are ok when they run but their Customer Service is abysmal and a national embarrassment. Save yourself the hassle and rent a car. I used to take the train a lot but now I always drive.

Deplorable service provided by this company. I've been waiting for over a year to get a refund because I couldn't use the tickets I bought due to... Guess what... Drum roll...Another STRIKE! (Look surprised 🎉). They go on strikes like someone changing their shirts. They harass the customers (who are the last ones to be blamed for anything) and then steal the money from the tickets they couldn't use. What a great business model... Mafiosos.
