Came here for lunch, decent food with affordable price tag. Seafood linguine tasted a bit bland actually, while the fried squid was cripsy and delicious. The hot chocolate was perfect for a cool rainy summer afternoon.

Beyond disappointed with my last visit! - As a Sunday regular I decided to bring some friends along on Saturday expecting great food and service that we normally receive. However I can honestly say I will not be back. Service and everything was great until my food arrived. I had ordered a steak and peppered sauce (as it comes on the menu) This arrived with gravy which I had already poured over my steak. The lady apologised and brought it straight to the kitchen. From our table we could see the kitchen and the chef began shouting at the waiter clearly over my food. 10-15 minutes later (The whole table had already finished their food) My plate arrived, as picture below; no sides at all. I then said to the waiter apologies but I've waited so long I have cold chips and no onion rings. Again promptly she went back to the kitchen obviously asking for my sides to again be SHOUTED at by the chef which we could hear from our table. The poor waiter came back to our table apologising, SHAKING & SUTTERING. See attached image of my plate returned - I can assure you this is not how it originally looked. Why? Considering this was a kitchen error. Very unprofessional, no staff should be treated like that. Especially as an HR professional - This was hard to watch.

This is my second time in Bowery. First was with my colleagues during our Christmas dinner. And as always, they do not disappoint, at all. First class customer Service! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Will Definitely be back again. Special mention to Ian, Johnny and Amy. 👏 👏 👏 Just would like to recommend if you can add more seafood options in the menu ( e.g. scallops, lobster)

Food good and service excellent. Returned a pint of Guinness but the replacement was fine, apparently one of the taps malfunctioned!! Interesting smartphone pub quiz in progress while we were there, pleasant vibe overall.

Enjoyed a meal here with a nice atmosphere and good food a few weeks ago. Didn't need a reservation and had something suitable for children. Menu catered for different food requirements for adults as well. Only issue was I left hungry as portions not great considering price. Staff pleasant, Would recommend.

Waited that long on mains the server who took the order asked when clearing out starter plates if we would like dessert menus ..🤣. Sunday roast sharing platters arrived cold. Staff very apologetic however due to the length of time we already waited we didn't want to wait longer for replacements. Kids meal order arrived wrong also which was corrected. Atmosphere of restaurant lovely. Unfortunately we would not return due to poor food experience

Extremely disappointed in this place, have looked forward to going there for while as the place looks great, extremely slow service, there was 11 of us and 5 were vegan, I asked when making the booking about vegan availability, was told there is lots to choose from, there was not, had to give kids rice balls and chips for dinner, not good enough, kids obviously didn't eat it. Food was OK for the rest of us, when we eventually got it. It wasn't that busy either. I will never be back. Disappointed

Unfortunately we wouldn’t return- 4 adults and 2 children book for lunch 2 weeks prior to Christmas. Only one high chair was available until 20 minutes after arrival, the only Christmas option was ‘Christmas lunch for 2’ (a shame, my husband and I couldn’t share this meal as I’m dairy intolerant) he was informed he wasn’t allowed to have a Christmas lunch if it wasn’t for two. We asked for chips with no seasoning for the children which came loaded with salt, we waited just over an hour for our meals to arrive which was a huge length of time for children to wait never mind adults. I asked for wings and chips as my main, the wings came as starter while no one else had ordered starters. Service was overall very poor. This was our second year attending the Bowery for our family Christmas dinner, a huge disappointment compared to last year. The only positive was it was well decorated as usual.

Food was fine but the service was poor and the staff, apart from the bouncer, completely lacking in warmth. My friend and I seemed to be completely invisible when trying to get served at the bar, "women of a certain age" syndrome. Disappointing to say the least. I won't be back.

No attention from waiters at all, just didn't seem interested - very slow service. A member of the party got handed a red hot plate which then burned him.... And then another waiter tried to blame him after no warning it was hot. The Salmon was lovely (hence the two stars), however the broccoli was undercooked as well. At the prices I really expected better

One if not the best place we have been for a Sunday roast. We filled our plates high and still had some for home. The beef was so tender it just melted in your mouth, massive yorkshire's, delicious mash, roasties and cauliflower cheese aswell as carrot and parsnip. The kids had fish and chips and a chicken burger they couldn't even finish theirs. The price for the quality and amount of food was amazing, a first visit and not our last. Thanks the Bowery for helping us celebrate.

Great cocktails and most for £10 which is really reasonable these days. 6/10 pint of guinness. Was easy to get a table with it being such a large venue and venue itself is really cool

Easy to reserve a table, gluten free menu provided upon arrival after mentioning it during reservation. Instantly put my mind at ease and loads of options! Fantastic staff, great service! Food was fantastic, as were the cocktails. Couldn't have asked for a better night.

My first ever review, I was there today for Sunday lunch, the food was nothing special, we were sat at table 41 at the top of steps with absolutely no room to move the food was served on a large board this would be a great idea if there was a big enough table, we couldn’t get the food off the board without it falling all over the place, to much piled on, the steps were very busy at my back, the issue was there was bigger tables all over the restaurant with no one at them, there was wire round two sides of our table thank god must be to stop everything hitting the ground, the broccoli was that hard it may have damaged the floor, so I complained about this, they offered me a drink and said there was a no show that’s why we had to be seated there, Duncan the manager didn’t even think he should speak to us. One thing I must say is the young waitress were excellent and couldn’t be more kind than they were, I would suggest if you’re considering Sunday lunch you look around, when I arrived before I sat down I was told I would have to leave at a certain time even though they weren’t busy, when I was leaving I met people I knew, they were seated outside reading menus I hope they took my advice.

Place was great. Sharing platter between 2 is ALOT. The sharing platter and 2 starters deal for £50 is worth it. Waitress was friendly and attentive.

Not a bad spot for a drink on a Saturday night. More quiet than I expected. Prices typical for Lisburn road. Clean and tidy establishment and quite a nice feel to the place inside and out. Would recommend trying as it might just be more your cup of tea than it was mine.

Went for lunch Saturday afternoon. Was quiet enough but had to remind our waiter about our drinks twice. TVs on all over the bar with multiple different sports on that no one was watching. Food was poor. potatoes tasted old, like cooked yesterday and microwaved. Chips tasted like re-heats also. Charged 50p for a dash of blackcurrant in a drink! When questioned the waiter he laughed and said 'yes, this place is extortionate '. No comment from the wait staff as they took our quite full plates away and we said it was poor. If you want poor pub grub with overpriced drinks, this is your place.

Came here for a bushmills evening, 3 courses and 3 cocktails to accompany each course. We received another cocktail on arrival and a neat tasting at the end. The food was lovely and really well presented. The timing of each course was perfect as we had time to drink our cocktails inbetween. The ambassador from bushmills talked us through each whiskey cocktail before each meal. Definitely worth the money for what we got.

Went here for New Years Eve, had dinner and then sat in the main bar area. The food was just ok, not great, not terrible. Atmosphere for New Year was good, cocktails were either great or bad, depending on what bartender you got.

We stopped in for a drink after a meal on a Saturday night. We got two seats at the bar and had a couple of expertly made drinks from the barman who we had a great conversation with! Good variety of drinks including gluten free beer. Will be back!

Really disappointed in this place. A waiter spilled a pint of beer over my phone in June, breaking the screen, and despite promising they would pay for the damage they have now been completely ignoring me for five months. The manager, Richard, assured me over the phone that they would be very happy to pay for the damages if I sent them a quote, which I have now emailed them multiple times, but I am still waiting for them to get back to me.

Food was OK. Small enough portion of steak in steak sandwich. But was nice. Lovely comfortable surroundings.

DO NOT EAT HERE. Waited 20 mins for starter (prawn cocktail) with no one else waiting on food. Then a further 20 mins for main course (shared platter). Arrived cold. Stuffing of chicken was burnt to the point that would have broke your teeth. I’m not one to complain but after looking forward to a celebration with my daughter I was expecting a decent meal that we could actually eat. Unfortunately had to send my meal back to reheat. ( microwaved). After waiting another 10 mins food arrived rubbered. Asked could they just parcel it up. After all we were paying £50. Full dinner including the mash was “rolled” into tin foil. Disgusting. Reason for the 1 star is my dog enjoyed it. Stick to selling wine 🤮🤮

Had a lovely meal here on Friday evening. Would recommend the rump steak. Very tasty! There chips are very good aswell. Prices are pretty reasonable for belfast. Staff are friendly and the background music not too loud. All in all a nice atmosphere. Can recommend.

Driving past the Bowery recently, I remarked how nice it looked. The wooden structure to the front which covered a large outdoor seating area with lighting draped across the wooden posts. It definitely made it stand out. Little did I know, my kids were taken me there for dinner, (birthday). The decor was stylish, the seating comfortable, overall a pleasant atmosphere in this venue. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a variety of cocktails before eating and we certainly couldn't fault the food. A very enjoyable evening, definitely will be back.

I've been 4 times - twice for brunch, once for the sharing boards, and once for dinner Pros: Beautiful decor inside and out Friendly staff Food tastes good Cons: Very hard to get staff's attention throughout every time I've attended. At the worst we waited twenty minutes to be given a menu and another twenty for the opportunity to order. Other times were similar.

Myself and 3 friends visited The Bowery on Saturday night for our joint 30th birthday meal.. They launched a new cocktail menu and we ordered 4 cocktails..However service was very slow, the waitress was updating us every ten mins or so on the status of our cocktails. We were told that our cocktails would be free because of the long wait.. we were happy with this. When our food arrived it was beautiful, really fresh and tasty, however we didn't receive any sides, we had finished our meal for at least 15 mins before our sides came out. We sent them back as we had finished eating. When we ordered another drink they didn't come at all so we asked for the bill. The assistant manager apologized profusely and stated that because they had launched their cocktail night, they were very behind. He gave us our meal on the house due to our long waits, which we were very shocked at. We didn't expect this but gladly accepted as we had waited too long on everything. As service was slow, this didn't put us off.We will definitely be back to experience The Bowery again. It was a busy night however very clearly understaffed One thing I would say is, don't launch a cocktail night on a busy Saturday at the end of a lockdown!!
