    We actually weren’t able to stay. We chose this hotel because several others told us up front that they did not have any connecting rooms available. Reservations assured me that our rooms would be connecting. When we arrived and checked in, the elevator was broken and we carried all of our luggage up to the 3rd floor to find that they had rooms across the hall from each other. With a 6 and 9 year old, this wasn’t going to work. The second floor reeked of weed smoke and we definitely didn’t feel comfortable even waiting for a resolution to the issue. I will give the very nice lady at the front desk credit for working to get us refunded. We managed to find other arrangements in the area, but I definitely would not recommend the candle wood.

    DO NOT STAY HERE. NO MATTER THE PRICE. Booked for two nights but will only be staying one. Hallways smell like old smoke. Not even the new paint could cover it. Room was not cleaned, hair in shower, pet food everywhere ( on dirty tables and floors), my socks were filthy within 20 minutes. In the middle of cooking the table top burner stopped working. I go down to report it to front desk because the room phone doesn't work. Clerk tells me she will call someone after I tell her I was literally in the middle of cooking. Having it fixed tonight was not her first choice. She calls 20 minutes later on my phone to update me that she was waiting on the time for the person to come fix stove. Two hours later I trashed my dinner and did the dishes. Putting pan back in draw, a roach crawled over another pan that was in there. Roaches! Will not stay here EVER again. I can't believe IHG reports this as a 4.5 star hotel. 🤢

    We checked in in the middle of the night with our two daughters. Upon entering the room we immediately see a cockroach. After we complained they moved us to a different room. Cleanliness of the second room (in addition to the first) is questionable. The shower drain looks is covered in mold, also there were questionable stains (blood?) in the shower. I did not bathe my children there or use the shower myself because I didn’t feel comfortable. At 7 am this morning there were loud people in the hallway YELLING for someone to come out of their room. They called their name over and over and could not seem to figure out how to knock on a door or use their phone instead of yelling. So there are sketchy people in this hotel. My husband had to work in the morning and I was hoping due to the issues we had they would let us have late checkout. They did not. Even when I called the front desk, they claimed they couldn’t help and then hung up on me. No tact in dealing with customers. I thought after the cockroach and state of the place they would try to please us with good customer service. That is not the case. They don’t serve breakfast or even have a bowl of fruit downstairs for you to grab something. I am a host in the hospitality business - and my rental is much better and more stocked than this place. Disgusting. Customer service is terrible. Would never stay here again.

    After reading some of the negative reviews I was a little skeptical about making reservations. However, when I got to my room I was pleasantly surprised how GREAT my room. I thought I was in a Penthouse it was so nice. All the appliance updated, dishwasher, plenty of storage areas and cabinets, well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, paper towels, etc.., My room was very immaculate. The staff is very nice and helpful.

    If I could give this place a zero stars I would. Seriously everything was so dirty, the bathrooms were gross, the walls were filthy and the floors gross. The elevator didn't work the entire time we were there, which is bad but absolutely horrible when you're on the fourth floor. A pipe burst while we were there one night and didn't have water that whole night. The pool was so gross and dirty. But the worst things about this place was our rental car got stolen from the parking lot. They apparently didn't have cameras where the car was in the parking lot either. Never a fun experience having to do police reports while on vacation with your family because the hotel you're at is not safe.

    My daughter and I reserved a room at this hotel to complete my two weeks’ notice on my job. The beds were amazingly comfortable, the kitchen and cutlery were nice. The Office Manager, Danyez Hines “Dee” humbly assisted us with both reservations and permitted us to move from 408 to 108 to assist with our chihuahua. Unfortunately, The Hotel receptionists, Jermaine Simmons, General Manager and Brittany McClain, Executive Housekeeping Manager communication and customer service skills were poor. Once we settled in Room 108, we witnessed red stains in several places on the carpet, pieces of tape were on the ceiling, and a medium hole in the outside window screen; the next day we sensed an unpleasant odor. Shirley, the housekeeper assigned to the floor sprayed, and several days later Brittany sprayed to eliminate the unpleasant odor. However, the unpleasant odor lingered. Thereafter, we witnessed the clothes hanger was loose from the wall upon removing the iron, and the bathroom base board was filthy. In addition, a blue stain was on the recliner. The daytime staff stated the hotel does not clean the carpet, but the evening staff stated differently. An issue with the server prevented the picture upload. We gave the Hotel ample time to make corrections before we checked-out. In closing, Shirley is an exceptional housekeeper, and this Hotel could receive a 5-star rating if the Hotel improves on their customer service, and all accommodations are met.

    I loved everything about my stay front desk staff is welcoming. And JoJo was on point with the service of my room and takes her job housekeeping very seriously. Clean hotel no bugs no roaches and I love that

    Very clean place and love that the rooms come with their own silverware and pots and pans… oh yeah and a full sized dishwasher and fridge !! Free laundry washing machines to wash your clothes, gym and pool are nice. Over all, great place to stay at.

    The location is great if you are planning to visit Six Flags. Only about a 10 minute drive. The size of the room was ok. The bathroom seemed clean but there was hardly any body wash. Found a hair that didn’t belong to any of our family in our towels upon arrival. The lotion on the sink was watered down which is gross. Found two baby roaches on the stovetop. If there were baby roaches, I am sure Mama and Papa roach live there too. Housekeeping does not bring new towels each day. You must gather your old towels and bring them to the front desk to get new ones. There was no hair dryer in the room. Of course, we were so exhausted from the trip that we did not say anything on the first day. But the next day I did ask Amy at the front desk for a hair dryer. Was told there should be one in the room. But I told her there was not. So she said she would look for one and send it up. Never heard back from her. I understand it’s not a fancy hotel but for the price you pay here there should be basic services like clean towels brought to your room and a hair dryer in the room. And definitely no one wants to see roaches.

    Pretty rough hotel. Cleaning isn't done properly, there's dust and grim all over the bathroom floor board and stains and food all over the walls, mold behind the toilet and the room smelled like fish. Thankfully it was only for a night for me because I wouldn't recommend bringing the family to this establishment 😞. The place is crawling with roaches I shared pictures of my room and the bugs I found in the walls

    I was really happy with my stay and as I as leaving I needed help with my bags it was a very handsome young gentleman that was vacuuming the floor that stop what he was doing to help me with my bags. he was very polite with that being said I will be returning back to stay at this hotel me next visit.

    If I wasn’t so dehydrated and tired from driving I would have already left. Seems like a very sketchy area, but we will see what happens overnight. A sheriff was already here, and it appears people live in this hotel. The hotel across the street isn’t any better and seems even scarier. The people above us are incredibly loud and have been banging around since we checked in, hours later and they are still constantly stomping and pacing around, making it difficult to rest. Not sure what it is with IHG hotels but I have horrible luck with them. Looking forward to checking out early tomorrow and reaching my destination. It’s a shame because the room seems newly renovated, but it’s already pretty dirty and worn out. Update: Quiet time starts at 10pm-8am. My upstairs neighbors didn’t seem to get the memo because It’s well past 10pm and they are just as loud as they were when we checked in, still loudly pacing, banging around, and sounds like they keep dropping stuff. Now it’s been 8+ hours of this. And to finish my review, I don’t know why I’m shocked but there’s yet again another cop sitting in the parking lot. I’m starting to think the good reviews on this hotel are from people currently living here… ended up not sleeping at all that night.

    The King bed suite was a perfect fit for my kids and I. The mattresses and pillows are heavenly. Clean, friendly staff. Adequate parking. Convenient to everything I need to make it through a full week stay in the area. I’m a IHG Diamond Elite Ambassador Member, so I’ve spent over 100 nights in IHG hotels. This location will remain at the top of my experiences. Thank you!

    This hotel I suppose I brand new or nearly new. Well maintained. The rooms were perfectly stocked with clean pots and pans. There was a coffee machine , stove and microwave and enough glasses bowls for cooking. The reason I gave a 4 was since they lacked some basic necessity like a small toothpaste or first aid stuff like bandaid etc. that again could be because they were waiting for the stick to arrive. Other than that great place. Perfectly located. Close to good breakfast places too

    Great place to stay if you're just looking for a place for the weekend or a one week stay. The bad Elevator and gym are always dirty, the Elevator can be heard down the hall, some outlets don't work in room, and you have to set a timer to operate the stove. The good, one staff ironed out her insurance package on the phone at the desk while I waited to be assisted. So if you are looking for a job they have a good insurance plan here. They have a free laundromat, no bugs, clean linen and the price is not astronomical.

    Wonderful. This has been the best experience ever since I been going to different hotel. The tall handsome guy is very entertaining and funny. He made my time there enjoyable for me and my kids. Our next stop thur we will definitely be staying at this location again. Thank you for have the best personality. Rooms was amazing as well.

    I have been staying here for almost 9moths and this place is beyond great. I have read reviews about bugs here I have not seen one in my room. Some people don't understand that it is out of the hotel hands when outside guest bring in roaches, Bug ETC. But for me and my company we have yet to see one. We have a total of 6 rooms and love every moment of this stay.
