Love, Love, Love it!!! This black-owned gem is EVERYTHING!!! Fresh coffee, hot buttery croissants, & books!! What’s not to love!! It is quaint shop with great music and a definite African flair with amazing art and local made items to purchase! I ordered a latte made with Bali Natural. It’s a full bodied medium roast that was amazingly smooth and delicious!! I’m usually a dark roast drinker but this was everything!!! Oh and the Bombe Natural is delicious as well! You can really taste the blueberry and strawberry notes! It just has a natural sweetness. We even got a coffee lesson from the owner, Kaz!! He was so knowledgeable and friendly! Tay was too!! I walked away with a coffee lesson, free Juneteenth books for my grandsons, and future business prospects!!!

Really cool place to hang out and have some delicious coffee! Stopped by on my way from the airport and discovered this place because of Google!! The owner was there and was very welcoming, so was the barista. There are pretty cool books and art available too. They let me know that they usually have open-mic night on Thursdays so go check it out!

I stopped by while visiting my family and I absolutely loved this place. The vibes were chill and the aesthetic was homely and calm. They sell different beverages and they even made my husband a special chai tea because he didn’t know what to order. Be sure to check out the book selections, jewelry, stones, and cleansers too!

Came across this place while visiting the restaurant next door. This was my first time in the area. In my opinion this place should be a must go the reason for this is, they are truly happy to teach the young ones about their culture. While you shop there they give back to the youths in the neighborhood, this is why it needs to be a must go. Lots of books and beautiful copper jewelries with crystals @ a great price. I am truly bless to walk into this shop and find beautiful stuff to share with my friends and family. More so myself🤣. They deserve more stars than 5. Oh yeah, they have shows that goes on as well.

Intentionally looked for a Black owned bookstore to check out, this spot didn't disappoint! They had a great selection of books, I bought 2 for me and 2 for my daughter. Had a great cup off coffee and the decorations were so nice. They have events and we went on a day they had open 🎤 but couldn't stay ( not for kids) but is great for social networking and meeting people. One thing I would like to see since it's listed as a cultural center is maybe staff greeting you and asking or providing information......

Greeted pleasantly into the bookstore/coffee Cafe cultural center. Friendly staff, responsible prices. Who knew Downtown Lithonia was a black owned block. Will definitely be back to support all the other black businesses!!

I have visited several times. I enjoyed the Cappachino, immensely. I loved their vast selection of books. I ordered the latest Pastor Michael Todd book, there. I got prompt and courteous service, in a very short period of time. I had hunted all over trying to find this newly released book......but was not available yet. I was elated to receive it, so quickly. It is a fabulous meeting place for Chess players, football watchers (big screen T.V.), shoppers for Ethno-centric Clothing, Purses, and Books....etc. They have flyers of upcoming events and pertinent items. A great place to meet a friend! Outstanding collection of Black Children's Books.

I had a lovely first visit here. My niece and I were greeted warmly. We were immediately drawn to the goods on display - fragrances, jewelry, clothing, and a variety of books. There's a chill, comfortable atmosphere and a great music selection that complements the vibe without being too loud for conversation or focused work. It's a cozy space with plenty of seating. Our drinks were great also! I had an iced masala chai with vanilla that was perfect. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

It's a really chilled place to have some decent coffee and talk, or read. The energy in this place is nice. Very quiet and the books are amazing. So much knowledge in this spot. And the staff are cool. No complaints here

It's wonderful to be able to enjoy uniquely Black spaces near my home where the service and atmosphere are excellent. Black Dot truly hails back to a time where a community gathering spot was truly a one stop shop of culture, knowledge, wisdom, food, fun, growth, and experience. You may come for the coffee, the conversations, the bookstore, a poetry reading, an open mic, a community activist event, a wellness seminar, a venue, or just a lunch date, but you truly leave with something much more special and intangible-- a safe space.
