This place is so interesting and so beautiful, the views are gorgeous. We also liked the open air museum with historical farm houses. We arrived at approx 14:30 and it was quite busy, so I think it’s better to arrive later in the afternoon or before noon. Entrance was free in april. We spent 2,5 hours here. Be prepared for lots of stairs. It was very windy when we visited, a scarf or a hat would have been great to cover our ears.

Great place to reach your daily steps goal! The view of the valley is nice, but it's not necessary to visit every hill, if your only goal is a nice view. If you want to walk a lot, you'll get it definitely. Visit not only hills, but take a walk in the valley to have a different perspective of the same place.

History can be learned from books or.. walking thr land of our ancestors.. Please do not think, oh, it's just hills-there's so much more to this place and worth a visit, even if just a short one. Walk up at least one of the hill tops and breathe in the air, take jn yhe view and understand the power those hill hold and will continue to carry through the years speaking of the long forgotten heritage.

The historic site of the first capital of Lithuania. The city was burned down by the Teutonic knights in 1390 and was never rebuilt. Now the site is the grass covered old fort mounds, with the river valley in the distance. There is also a church and a reconstruction of an ancient village to see. While we were there, Archeology students where making a dig on one of the hills. Very cool to see.

Nice place, no problem with parking, tereikia is possibility to buy suvenirs, drinks and have a meal nearby in local restorant with nice view onthe hils. There is posibility to look on Kernave hills near the entrance, then you can walk among big hills with possibility to climb by wooden ladders. The view is impressive. Have a good time!

The Hillforts of Kernavė are a mesmerizing journey into Lithuania's ancient past. Standing atop these UNESCO-protected mounds, one can almost hear the whispers of bygone eras. The site offers both an archaeological wonder and panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. Kernavė's hillforts are a must-visit for history enthusiasts and nature lovers seeking a deeper connection to Lithuania's heritage.

perfect place to spiritually connect with your ancestors. Feeling of a great history of ours (Lithuanian) is all there. Recommend this place if you like to refresh yourself through connection with nature, peace and being around historical places. Great place to stargaze, there's some lighting going around, but it doesn't effect pictures too much. I personally recommend visiting Hillforts at night, a little scary for some but exciting experience if you love night photography and watching falling stars in the time of autumn..

Day 14. A short but busy 180km day taking in two UNESCO Struve Geodetic triangulation points and the highest point in Lithuania. The latter being Aukstojas at an altitude sapping 294m. Beautiful spot though and a nice viewing platform. However….the highlight of the day was visiting the hill forts of Kernave. The forts are a UNESCO site and there are four of them together. What can I say, simply stunning…the best photos of the trip ❤️❤️❤️.
