Recently transferred to Broadgreen from Aintree University Hospital after a hip replacement operation. It was like moving from a dull, noisy and uncomfortable environment to a smart hotel. I was allocated my own room with TV and WiFi which worked, contrary to AUH. A printed menu was produced from which I was invited to choose my meal, very nice incidentally, also contrary to AUH. Physiotherapist then arrived and having gone through all exercises apart from the stairs, asked if I felt like trying them. Suffice to say that afterwards he said he would check with the medics but as far as he was concerned I could go home. Therefore, I only spent 5/6 hours at Broadgreen and have nothing but high praise and thanks for all the staff there did for me. How there can be such a difference between two hospitals in the same NHS Foundation Trust is mind boggling. AUH has a long way to go to get anywhere near the excellent standards of Broadgreen.

I was looked after very well by the staff on the day care ward bay B. Thank you to my nurses Cathy, Angela and Kirsty. I was impressed with how the OT, my anaesthetist and Mr Yin and his team came to see me beforehand. I had an intramuscular lipoma removed from my left inner elbow. I was very pleased with being given the pain block for my arm as it is only just now starting to wear off from when I had it on Wednesday early afternoon. Thank you very much to Mr Yin and his team. I made some new friends too.

It is a charming place. The architecture and the way how old is merged with new buildings, let you forget why you had to come here. Staff is lovely (well, there always will be one or two exceptions). Recomend to pay attention on the way, to whatever doctor you need to see, as you may find hidden gems. All the roads, wards and buildings have greate signposting so you can't get lost! (unless you don't speak English then even Google map will be confused). There is also a courtesy bus that will take you where you need to go, so don't worry. If you need to come here, you will be well looked after.

Visited Broadgreen Hospital yesterday for an appointment with family and other family took us by car, the parking was not bad but getting the ticket from the machine was awkward unless you drive nearer to go through the bollard and park up. Using the signposts for where we had to go was pretty good to get their. The wait was not long in the clinic so we had to go and wait in the coffee shop while they went in to the waiting area to be seen by the doctor, mean time we went into the main part of the hospital and visited a Starbucks on the right for a cup of tea and snack bar. However they where not too long and joined us for a cappuccino coffee β˜• and doughnut 🍩 afterwards which was a good deal for Β£4.25. Then we went back the car park to pay for our ticket and back home.

Somewhat incompetent and a minority of staff continuing to be paranoid about COVID-19 and insisting patients with exemptions wear masks even now, but most staff are not so insane. Did take well over an hour for a pre-arranged appointment to be fully dealt with though. A few weirdo staff wearing masks below their nose, which is pointless so they should just take them off. Thankfully none of those ones demanded I wear a mask as I'd have given them a gobful for being hypocrites.

Lovely staff on mammogram clinic .very sensitive and respectful . It's just the little things sometimes that make a big difference .The radiologist that joined in my sense of humour ...and it is a bit odd ! And the receptionist who noticed I was struggling with an extremely painful knee .And kindly brought me water instead of me struggling to get it . Not life saving I know but reassuring and made visit so much more pleasant .

I can't believe it has taken me 7 years to leave a review. I was lucky enough to have my 2nd operation at Broadgreen and carried out by Mr Nicolaos Giotakis after a failed operation in the Royal Blackburn. The operation carried out by Mr Giotakis of Broadgreen gave me my life back. The care I received from the nursing team was also amazing and made to feel comfortable and treated with respect. I cannot thank Mr Giotakis and his fantastic team enough. Now I can run with my dog on the beach and walk hand in hand with my partner up hills and in the sea and work as a heavy engineer when I had been told it wouldn't be possible previously . THANK YOU

This is a well-designed and well-equipped hospital complex. The hospital is the main location for the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust's elective general, urological and orthopaedic surgery, diagnosis and treatment, together with specialist rehabilitation, and it apperars to have an abundance of features which ensure that it is a very secure facility as regards ingress and egress. The location is ideal, and can comfortably be visited using public transportation.

I have symptoms of PTSD after working here on placement as a student nurse and being bullied by RNs here. When i raised concerns about bullying i was told im wasting resources. I can no longer hold down a job. You have reduced my quality of life significantly. You picked the wrong person to try and cripple...no one has been held acountable able for the harm you have done to me.

I accompanied Ms Georgina Caffrey to the " over 65's" unit in the Alexandra wing. 9months ago she attended and was told that she would receive an appointment this was for polyps in her gall bladder, these cause her severe pain, we relieved another appointment which we attended on 10-9-23. Only to be told she would have to see someone else. She has suffered pain for 2 years. I feel that her treatment has been sadly lacking in the kind of treatment the NHS is famous for. I would give the NHS minus stars.

Dr Wilson mis diagnosed a melanoma mole on my stomach. Was told it was nothing to worry about, and tried to scare me by exaggerating the size of the scar if it was to be removed and said it was unnecessary. A year later I have the mole removed and it is cancerous. DO NOT TRUST THIS DOCTOR.

Starbucks inside is absolutely disgusting. Tastes like dirty water. Bought one in the morning and one in the afternoon and they were both horrible. They clearly do not know how to make the drinks- my dead great grandma could pour a better hot chocolate than the atrocity they gave me. You'll probably fall ill if you drink from here.

Attending Broadgreen🏨Hospital over the last decade, has always been a positive experience. A clean modern hospital with friendly & helpful staffπŸ§‘πŸΌβ€βš•οΈπŸ§‘πŸ»β€βš•οΈπŸ‘¨πŸΎβ€βš•οΈπŸ‘©β€βš•οΈ. The only qualm I have with Broadgreen, is the expensive car park πŸš– 🚘 which like the Royal Liverpool fills up fast & costs over the odds to use. And remember to bring an umbrellaπŸŒ‚ with you if it's a rainy day 🌨 & you have an appointment for late morning onwards.... As you'll most probably find yourself having to park on the uncovered top floor of the visitors car parkβ˜”before then making the 10 minute walk to the hospital's main entrance. For those with limited abilityπŸ§“β™Ώ there's a hospital bus shuttle service 🚌 that runs between these two points(car park & hospital main entrance) & around the whole hospital site πŸ₯.

Surgical closure of septal perforation failed immediately after surgery despite reassurance that failure is practically impossible. Surgeon reacted to news of failed operation with denial.

Operation they made went south, left me with life long injuries, in so much pain because of it but yet when I made complaint they literally tell the doctor? She cried and begged me not to complain so I cancelled complaint? Worst move I've ever made and she's still operating? Shameful.
