Allerton Towers

Park

👍👍 Never been here before as had always gone to either Calderstones or Sefton Park previously. This was a good find. Not the biggest park but has some pleasant walks and a great play area for the kids (though they'd probably enjoy rolling down the hill more). A good place to visit if you fancy somethin... People often mention park, kids,

Never been here before as had always gone to either Calderstones or Sefton Park previously. This was a good find. Not the biggest park but has some pleasant walks and a great play area for the kids (though they'd probably enjoy rolling down the hill more). A good place to visit if you fancy something a bit different.

Took me 50 years to realise this little oasis was there. Walking through the old orangery makes you feel a thousand miles from the city centre not just 7 ☺

Lovely place for a walk, well kept gardens and the remains of an orangery that was attached to the no longer existing mansion house, the stables are worth a visit, now run by a local charity.

The park is poorly maintained. The pathways have not been swept at all. The rose garden is overgrown with weeds and large areas of grass left to grow wild

It looks lovely and unlike some parks in Liverpool it was actually clean and nobody had littered even though there where people going round with litter pickers even though there was nothing to pick it was a quiet nice stroll through Allerton park seeing Allerton Manor (Which Is Now A Pub) and the old ruins and the old little house where the English Where in WW1 or maybe WW2 not to sure but anyway it was really lovely and I suppose your getting some fresh air I’d advise to come in summer though

It has grass, trees and paths as well as a play area which has climbing holds on it. There is a run-down structure, possibly an old orangery, which would be really creepy at night. Great place for a Halloween trail!

Wonderful place to walk your dog or go simply go out for exercise. The Victorian Gardens are great, a little spooky at night though!

Beautiful place to walk, a bit off the beaten track so seldom as busy as Sefton Park or Calderstones.

The best undiscovered place in South Liverpool, if it snows and you want to go sledging.

Love this park. It's worth getting a bit lost to find all it has to offer.

Lovely area to take the kids and dog, plenty of walking space and a small park for the little ones. Great in the summer to take picnic and some games.

Grounds are overgrown. Pathways broken down and un metalled. Lawns in very poor shape not mown or cared for. Orangery is inaccessible due to huge weeds and broken masonry. Flower beds full of weeds, trees not pruned or cared for. Not the place it was when I was a boy. In fact its much poorer than the last visit 2 years ago. To cap it all my wife lost her footing in a pot hole and twisted her ankle and cut her leg.
