Weird
experience
actually
which
I
still
ruminate
on
given
I
cannot
make
any
sensible
rationale
of
.
To
contextualize,
we
needed
a
coat
for
our
dog.
Most
dog
owners
will
be
aware
that
it
is
a
challenge
to
find
a
suitably
fitting
coat,
so
I
purchased
3
in
order
to
take
home
and
try
them
on
.
Unfortunately
none
fitted
so
I
returned
to
the
store,
intending
to
obtain
a
refund
and
possibly
purchase
another
1
or
2
so
as
to
exhaust
all
options.
I
entered
the
shop,
and
as
I
made
my
way
to
the
dog
accessories
the
male
shop
assistant
(long
established
older
guy
who
has
also
worked
in
the
PAH
in
Speke
)
mumbled
something
to
me
.
Which
I
thought
was
just
a
greeting
or
a
request
to
get
past
me
as
he
maneuvered
a
trolley.
I
proceeded
to
look
through
the
other
dog
coat
options
and
then
realised
he
had
approached
me
and
simultaneously
he
reached
into
my
hands
and
said
'I
had
asked
you
to
leave
the
coats
at
the
cash
desk
when
you
came
in
so
will
take
those
coats
from
you
and
put
them
there'
I
was
bemused
by
this.
I
felt
reprimanded
and
did
not
feel
comfortable
shopping
any
further
.
I
also
wondered
when
he
took
the
coats
and
receipt
from
me
and
placed
them
on
the
cash
desk,
had
they
gone
missing
then
whose
responsibility
was
it
?
I
asked
the
shop
assistant
why
he
took
such
action.
His
response
,aside
from
fudging
the
issue
and
neglecting
to
note
that
I
thought
his
approach
was
brusque
and
reasoning
was
absurd
he
said
'
our
policy
is
that
you
leave
items
which
you
have
already
purchased
as
the
desk
before
you
buy
more'
He
went
on
to
say
although
he
saw
me
enter
the
shop
with
the
items
some
people
put
items
which
they
have
not
purchased
in
their
bag
and
then
he
has
to
approach
them
and
query
in
order
to
determine
if
they
are
stolen
or
not
!?
He
went
on
to
try
to
impress
upon
me
that
all
stores
have
this
policy
and
it
is
common
practice
advising
that
is
why
customer
service
desks
are
always
located
at
the
front
of
stores
so
all
customers
should
comply
and
abide
by
this
practice.
He
referred
to
his
parents
working
in
Asda
and
stated
that
this
practice
was
common
knowledge.
I
felt
the
conversation
was
deteriorating
further
and
becoming
more
absurd.
I
noted
other
shoppers
(
and
a
PAH
young/
new
colleague
)
looking
equally
sceptical
as
to
what
was
occurring.
The
whole
experience
was
all
unnecessary
and
rather
tense
and
needlessly
served
nothing
other
save
for
the
fact
it
caused
offence
!
Really
PAH
is
this
your
policy
???
