Definitely aimed at tourists, not my thing, being a solo backpacker , I've no room to buy anything, but great to have a look. Lots of local talent, very friendly, but could take a while to get through due to everyone wanting to show you their wears . Very safe , guide not required.

I went there to conduct a research on waste management for my geography project. I think they have very poor waste management because the market as a whole was dirty and the people we interviewed were unable to provide us with good responses out of 7 participants only 3 to provided us with information we could regard to as useful.I think the people of that area and the city council itself should work toward good waste management because a market is a place where lots of people meet it should have a comfortable and conducive environment for both the marketeers and the visitors(customers and passers-by)

The market is big, and I got fast food at a fair price though it was towards end of trading hours.

I love it, just the beauty of seeing how busy everyone chasing the kwacha is amazing. Food is cheat and the hospitality is at another level. Well done Zambia

I went there on a Sunday so most stalls were closed. But the locals were very friendly which made me wish to return very soon.

This is your typical flea market area that you find in most towns in Zambia or ZImbabwe. This will definitely be your go to area for cheap thrift clothes but that's not all. There is cheap food, furniture, groceries, hardware equipment and tools you name. If you are in need of something particularly on the cheap on DIY side this is def the place to pay a visit. There are also some street style of booth style food joints within the market, traditional medicines, toys and everything else you can think of.

Bustling African market place! It's a hive of activity from vegetables, poultry and all sorts of trinkets. This is your typical African market.

The market is very crowded. There is a lot of things that you can buy there. Their prices are reasonable. They accept Zambian Kwacha and Dollars.

Huge local market where you can find everything...vegetables, beans, rice, clothes, shoes, stationery...there is even a bike repair shop. Pretty busy during morning time and a good place to get to know more about local life.
