The Shang Xia Jiu Street, also widely know as Sheung Ha Kau Kai, is a bustling pedestrian street smack-dab in downtown Kwongchow (Guangzhou). The street is opened everyday and will be lit brightly during nightfall, with a fusillade of stalls and shops selling local goods and delicacies along the street at a reasonable price. The street is easily accessible by public transport, with a few metro stations and bus stops situated nearby. The overall environment and cleanliness here are decent and satisfactory respectively, with locals (citizens and shop or stall sellers alike) being friendly to help you in easing your experience here in Shang Xia Jiu Street.

Nice low cost shopping street. All is cheaper than beijing road. Food is good also. Beware of yigungchun store. They write 10 rmb sale but the goods is combined with 29 rmb and 20 rmb. So you must pay as stated at cashier

Ok pedestrian walking street. Saw some people get randomly stopped by “50” so that was weird and interesting.

A very busy and crowded shopping area. If you visit this place in a big group, you might want to pick a famous landmark as a rendezvous point.

Very big open space, and few shopping street combine. According to my China relatives local people also like to shop & eat around here. The clothes can be very local no brand to some international brands. Price are reasonable too.

Great people to people watch, shop, and dine (an abundance of those choices). Aside from those things, there's just a KTV here and no clubs or bars.

Reached here passed 9, I believe more than half of the shops were closed. Still an interesting street to shop through and I found the interesting ice-cream shop where the smoke came out from the crunchy unknown thingy. Luckily they do have late bus, so please check the last bus schedule before u visit this place.

Another interesting shopping district street to visit in Guang Zhou. ShangXiaJiu Pedestrian Street is very similar to Beijing Pedestrian Street with shops and restaurants at both ends. They have statues of how the street used to be like in the past and the place is very well maintained. Im sure they wash the street every morning like Beijing Lu. Its quite a distance to walk from the metro but also a good opportunity to see how China people live around the area.
