We wanted to try the local beer and watch some soccer and found this place. Lovely patio. The service was great! The server was so nice to go over the menu for us (so we didn’t have to attempt to translate it all). The beers were good. The food was really good. Best sweet potato fries i have had in a long time! The flatbread was huge and interesting combo of ingredients. I would be happy to visit again next time I’m in Ljubljana.

As befits a real pub, they have excellent beer. They also have great food. Vegan menu also available. Very nice ambience and very fast and friendly service.

Good food but the meat was barely warm and it came without the three side sauces, even though the place was not busy at that time (around 4pm). No waiters were around for additional orders. Nevertheless the place is cozy with good choice of food and beer.

Really enjoyed the tour with Erik. I don't even like beer but it was really interesting and we learned a lot. You get to taste a few beers and even for a non-beer drinker like me, I enjoyed them! Delicious food at the pub but service is quite slow when busy.

For beer and food in big quantities this is the perfect place, you can also play beer pong. The only downside is the only two waiters that have to serve hundreds of people.

Excellent atmosphere and food. Not far from main square so easily reached by foot. Burgers were very delicious as well as fries and accompanying sauce. If you are coming with large group or weekend evening, better to have reservation. Beer is excellent

Food good, beer good, service absolutely bad. If you want to drink more, it is impossible. No one asks if we want another beer. The waiters only stand by the tap and half the pub has no beer. The same thing happened to us 3 times in a row. Sad..

Nice atmosphere. Very good food. The triple sausages were wonderful. The beer is average. However, the unfiltered lager is pretty good given the brewery's target audience. The restaurant suddenly filled up with people coming to have lunch and the staff couldn't cope. They were not enough.

Lovely atmosphere with friendly staff and delicious food. There is something for everyone and the price is normal.

Came here for the Union experience tour, Tomaz was a great guide, full of information. We booked the 5pm tour on a Saturday and turns out it was a private tour! Was really surprised by the quality of the beers as well, a secret for the Slovenians as they don't export them overseas!

Perfect staff, speaks excellent English (although we Serbs didn't need it). The pub is wonderful, the food is very tasty, the lager beer is exceptional. Special praise for Jaka, Ditka and Anja. Because of their kindness, we stayed the whole afternoon. '90th rock' n'roll is all around you.... And I will be back again.

We visited to attend the Union Experience 15.50€ per person. Nina was our guide she did an excellent job showing us around and explaining everything. The tour of the brewing and packing process is all virtual reality. Then Nina took us upstairs to the museum, and explained the brewing process, history of the brewery, and showed some of the vintage equipment.

This place offers a great experience for get togethers, but I wish they had more healthy options. Maybe the beer-drinking clientele doesn’t demand it by why not set a new trend and lead by example? Otherwise, the food is very tasty, and maybe for a health-conscious person this is a place for a cheat-day 🤷🏾‍♂️

Since Pivnica has new owners, food really improved. Been here for lunch and had a great vegan meal. Prices are normal, staff friendly and ambience lovely. Will come back... Next time for a beer.

If you are not local don’t come to this place. They are very rude! I travel to many countries, and went to many places, however I would say the service given at this place was the WORSE. The waiter was openly ignoring us the whole time, he couldn’t walk away fast enough even before we done placing our order in. We have to ask mutiple times to different waiters for our bills. So FOREIGNERS don’t come to this place, they’re not welcoming guests from other countries.

This was So much better than expected. A very nice pub, the service was good, the staff was really helpful with suggestions. We loved the appetizer with cracklings😅 (something like a foccacia with cracklings)

Great craft beer and very nice food. Burger was really good and also the ribs. Plus amazing different beers to taste. Has a nice terrace outside.
