This place is great! When we were here, they had a special meal for €12, which included a big soup, a salad, two fish fleet and baked potatos, and a desert. We couldn't even finish everything. And it was delicious. The menu shows quite expensive options, so I dint even know how they can have such a big menu only for €12. Service was great. Stuff very friendly. Highly recommend. There is also a fish store inside where you can buy fresh fish.

Lunches of the day are great and they come at discounted prices. Service is fast and easy going. The outside tables are accessible for the wheelchair users however inside place is not accessible to the people who are using wheelchair. The place is often times used by local people, which is great to gather local knowledge about the places. It is annoying that they do not use a spray against pigeons and small birds they can be occasionally very annoying while you are eating your dishes. This place is a also suitable for large Chinese groups that like to travel in groups. There are 3 different businesses inside this place ; restaurant Valentin, fish market, vine store. Enjoy your stay here.

Heard from the local guide that the place is nice. Once I got in, it looks nice from the inside. However, lots of things on the Menu were not available though it was only 1.30 pm. That brought us the first disappointment. We waited for the food for a long time. The food was so so. I ordered gnocchi which was just edible. My husband ordered the sea bass. It is nice but not that special. Overall, we were quite disappointed. We would rather go to other restaurant

Excellent fish restaurant in the center of the old town of Laibach, - a fixture for us every time we visit the city, - you'll really fill up on the delicious fish platter for 2 people and have a large selection of seafood!

Not recommendable. The food was just OK. I couldn't finish. The soup was simply water with salt. But for the price you can't expect much from it.

Waited more than 1.5h for our mains and the quality is average. Disappointed esp it was highly recommended by our guides. The grilled asparagus was fiberous and the grilled sea bass was fresh but taste mediocre. The fish soup was the only dish which was acceptable. I will avoid this restaurant as there are better options in Ljubljana

The place itself looks nice. The burata we've had was pretty average for my opinion. Miso soup tasted nice fresh and philadelphia rolls were really tasty - I highly recommend these if youre into sushi. Plus you can try the tempura fried sushi rolls aswell if you like to go out of ordinary. Would come back sometime, since there is a good word about their street food aswell.

I must say I was quite underwhelmed by the food and the service. The service was unenthusiastic, we didn't receive bread like other tables, when we got our food, it looked nice but it wasn't as great tasting as it looks. The sea bass was overcooked and the risotto was meh. We had to wait between each course for way too long or flag down a waiter to get anything--they didn't come over to proactively check on us. They also told us they only had cakes for dessert when we asked for panna cotta. As we walked out, panna cotta was boldly displayed in the dessert case. The cake though was actually good. I'm giving it two stars: one because I liked the cake and two because the food photographed well. I should have been clued in by the emptiness of the place on Valentine's night when all the other restaurants were full. After my experience, I see why! I was very disappointed.

The best fish (Kovač) I ever ate. Waiter was very friendly and suggested great side dish and vine. I was in "a la carte" section, not in "street food" section.

Restaurant and fish monger in one place. Very good selection of seafood and fresh water fish. All is fresh and well prepared. Nice selection of wines.

Fast, but high quality sea food! Very nice cook which explained a lot about his cooking process to us and provided us with good food in every price category. If you are looking to eat fish in Ljubljana but don't want to spend a ton of money this is the place to go to!

If you want to wait almost an hour for your food (in winter) when the heating is broken and then get lukewarm plates (I had lignje, spaghetti seafood and green mussels) then you will get your money's worth here...prefer KFC. Also yes, don't be impressed by the beautiful pictures on the card...! Prices too high for such quality.
