Only the first night in the hotel out of planned four, but have to comment the decision of the hotel management to deprive guests are of heating in their rooms in December. Also, the restaurant does not offer lunch and dinner???!! It is not a 4-star hotel, rather Bed & Breakfast.

This hotel is conveniently located not far from the historic part of the city of Ljubljana. It is also within walking distance from the central train and bus station. The hotel itself is pretty modern and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, neat and spacious. The bed mattress and the pillows were super comfortable. I would recommend anyone traveling to Ljublana to stay in this hotel. The only negative side of that hotel is that there was no mini fridge in the room. However, the employee at the reception was kind enough to allow us to keep our food in their lobby fridge.

Wonderful hotel. I stayed here for five nights. The breakfast was complementary and awesome. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Room service is highly efficient.

The hotel is not what you would expect for 4 stars. Loud personnel doing their dirty laundry at breakfast, the rooms miss water kettle and some toiletries, towels are torn, water leaks from the ceiling when you shower. Breakfast is very basic with bad coffee which you can only have in mugs.

Nicely located, good for visiting as a tourist or business travel. Unfortunately we had a few issues with the air conditioning such was still set to winter mode and we couldn't get fresh air despite the spring temperature outside would have required it. The road traffic doesn't permit to sleep with open window due to noise, that being said I believe this to be one of the best hotel to stay.

Room was clean and bed very comfortable however we couldn't set the aircondition as it is set by admin for the rooms so was quite stuffy. Parking spaces are very limited so difficult to park, we were lucky to have the help of one of the receptionists helping us. Breakfast was great with a large variety of options!

I was very satisfied with my 4-night stay in this hotel. I was slightly worried because of recent bad reviews, but I had a good experience. Especially the breakfast buffet was great. I'm used to not many vegetarian options, but there were plenty! I got upgraded to a suite, the bed, bath and view were great. The only negative points were that I had to ask for a kettle and there was no fridge. The location is great. I would stay here again.

Good hotel, worth to stay. Parking available, basically in the city centre (10 min.walk). Spacious room, comfy bed, good shower, tea/coffee in the room. Breakfast great! The only thing I missed in the room was a desk to work.

A very handy location, with Renovated rooms and excellent restaurant, lobby, business centre and parking. Breakfast choices were superb and staff generally friendly. A stroll from the city centre. Will go back.

Nicely renovated rooms (not on every floor though) however without a fridge/minibar. Gym rather old and rudimental. Breakfast ok. Regretfully, the whole hotel did not have warm water for 24 hours and the only thing they did was to say sorry. Unacceptable.

Wish I could rate them better, but 2nd day on a row there is no hot watter. They promised me they would fix it but no... Breakfast and rooms are good, but the lack of taking a hot shower ....

My daughter and I stayed at the hotel couple of years ago. We really enjoyed the ambiance, the location, the professional staff and exceptional breakfasts. For the reason my daughter picked Exe Lev for her university spring vacations to enjoy her time in Ljubljana. Well cleaned room with large comfortable spaces, the breakfast was delicious with a big choice for all tastes and every member of the staff was super nice and kind! Also perfectly located, close to the centre! Wi-Fi works perfectly even on the 10th floor. We had a very great stay and next time in this city we will return to this hotel!

Very good hotel. We spent two days there. All liked it. There is underground parking and a bar. Very clean. Very good breakfast. Very large selection and everything is delicious

What a disappointment! It used to be an excellent hotel! Now the bar stays open from 17:00 to 23:00 but they serve no food!! Only drinks!! Of course no room service! why is this a 4 *?!!?

Room is nice, though aircon is a bit underwhelming (and in plenty of hotels I've just had to turn it off because it's too strong). Place is nice and clean. Breakfast nice, very big seating area. Didn't have spare toothpaste (my weird test for hotels). Location is great.

Our room looked absolutely nothing like the pictures, we had a door that said "minibar" but there was no such thing, and the shower felt like showering with a pressure washer. For the price I would've expected something a little better. Despite that, the bed was very comfortable and cleanliness was good, I was not a fan of the breakfast but it's okay. Also, the location is good, very close to the city center.

Stayed there for one night on our way to France. The room seemed a bit like it needed a bit of attention, especially the bathroom. We didn't had a mini fridge in the room but we found there 3 waters and some tea/3 in 1 coffees as a gift which was nice. It is close to the center and very convenient to walk there. There is free parking in front of the hotel which they block and make you park at the underground and the parking is 19 euros/night. The entrance is pretty tight with a large suv. The breakfast is super good and lots of diversity. Overall recommend it.

We tried two rooms. Both smelled of cleaners and were well worn. Floors 6 and 7 in need of renovation. No fridge in one room and toilet did not flush properly in the other. No other rooms were available, so we did not stay overnight.

Rooms were not oke. Heater didnt work and there wasnt a coffeemachine although there were cups and coffee. Bathroom was dirty and was outdated Super friendly staff, especially the lady at the frontdesk. Breakfast was oke and the staff here was friendly and very helpful, clearly working hard.

Great Hotel, very clean, great service, and wonderful and fresh breakfast selection. Situated in walking distance from all that you need to see in this city. High recommend.

Nice hotel, but the heating system in my room is defective which is not acceptable when the temperature outside is 0 degrees Celsius. I spent the night at the North Pole (not in Ljubljana) due to the fact that the thermostat shows the window as being open whilst all are firmly shut - hence it won't turn on. Let's see if they can fix it today...

Great location, very good breakfast, nice staff. The only surprise is the shower in the glass block in the middle in the room. It takes time to get used to it if you share room with someone you don't usually live.

Our stay at Exe Lev was okay. We were roadtripping with our van and wanted to stay one night in this hotel for some luxury. We payed almost 200€ which I feel wasn't worth the stay. The room was nice with coffee and tea, big bed and a bathroom with a bath and bathrobes. The soap in the bathroom wasn't (re)filled so we couldn't wash our hands with soap. Also the drain in the bathtub didn't work so when sitting in the bath the water kept escaping and I had to fill the bathtub 3 times during my time in there. Not very relaxing. The next morning we were going to have breakfast, which was very diverse which we really liked. But there were no glasses to drink from. So we didn't have anything to drink at breakfast! We looked a couple of times but still: no glasses. At one point I saw a waiter giving out a few "to go" cups to people but it wasn't enough for everyone. The staff at the desk seemed a bit over worked (?) and didn't ask about our stay. It was just practical information at our arrival and when we were leaving. The location is nice and close to everything you want to see in Ljubljana. But next time we will stay somewhere else.

Very nice hotel with professional and helpful staff. Room was a bit older and not well lit, but well maintained. Location is just perfect. You are just 5min by foot from the centre of Ljubljana. Breakfast is also very good. There is a lot of choices so everyone can find something for themselves.

We've been staying here for three times in last two months, we've nothing but nice words for this hotel. Location is perfect, near to everything you want to see in Ljubljana. Very kind stuff, awsome breakfast every morning. Perfectly clean and comfortable bed too.

Our room was clear, continental breakfast was good and the hotel is well located (3 minutes walk from center city). You have also a casino downstairs. Parking hotel not cheap, 19€ per day, you can find better price near the hotel.

Hotel Lev is a four star hotel, but to Robert, who was very helpful to us during our short stay in Ljubljana, we give five big stars.

Good location but rooms are small. Unfortunately, rooms were not clean. Poor breakfast and if you have any allergy, no indication on ingredients

First off, the location is quite convenient and the staff try to be helpful. But it’s all downhill from there. During a four night stay our room wasn’t cleaned twice. On one occasion we left the room for the day and found the cleaning staff standing outside the room. We excitedly thought the room would be made up that day but on our return four hours later nothing had been done. A call to reception elicited the information that the housekeeping staff had left for the day, the hotel was understaffed and it would be an hour and a half before they could get anyone to make up the room. The reception staff brought fresh towels. I know we’re not the only guests experiencing this. There are quite a few doors with the “make up room” signs still hanging well into the evening. This is supposedly a four star hotel but it’s not even being run as a hotel. Even a one star hotel makes the bed. Update - the following morning we had a chat with the very helpful hotel manager. He was apologetic about the staffing issues the hotel is currently experiencing and is expecting the issues to be sorted by the end of the month.

Comfortable beds, sufficient space in the room. Fully equipped bathroom. Very helpful personnel. Overall, a very pleasant place to stay.

Hotel is conveniently located close to shops and a nice park for running/walking is just around the corner. Unfortunately, the hotel is showing its age and the rooms would benefit from an overhaul. Especially the gym needs a complete renovation. Not sure if I can agree with the 4-star rating for this place.

Okay for one night but don't expect it to be 4*. Staff are lovely but fighting against changes imposed by management in another country I think. The cons:- * bar hardly open and when it is there are no lemons or any fruit for drinks or crisps or peanuts to be had * there is no bistro despite one being advertised so no food other than breakfast * not all rooms have a fridge. Some rooms have to use the ones in reception * rooms are now only cleaned every other day * toiletries are not as shown on the website. One tiny bottle of conditioner and similar size body lotion not replenished during our 12 night stay * kettle supplied but no milk or black tea bags * cobweb in room whole stay (12 nights) * room needs updating - many marks on carpet, holes in curtains, sink marked.

Good hotel. Very nice and comfy beds with two pillows per person. Breakfast buffet is plentiful and huge variety. The water pressure in the shower is non-existent.

Stayed in a premier double room and our stay was fantastic. Staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable, but the best part was the extensive hotel breakfast. Huge variety of hot and cold options, and plenty of seating for the big hotel. Staff was quick to refill all the dishes. A great stay!

Since this hotel has good reviews I thought the experience would have been better but unfortunately it wasn't all great. I had the lock of my suitcase removed and cash was stolen in the room. Also the rooms are very rundown. On the other hand, breakfast was good with a lot of food variety and the front desk staff was helpful.

Beautiful and well served hotel. Amazing breakfasts including fruits, veggies, raw and cooked, meat, eggs, cheese, tuna, nuts and dried fruit, all types of Milks, coffees and teas, bread and gluten free options. Nice rooms as well, only little issue was the toilet in the room was broken and the TVs should be changed as they’re quite old.

Location is great to the city center. Our first evening front desk staff did not appear to want to be there. The dinner servers were extremely considerate. The room was cold and wouldn’t heat up; the thermostat didn’t appear to be working. The shower water was warm but not hot. The container on the sink that is typically for lotion was marked, “conditioner.” Shampoo, conditioner, and body gel were in the shower. One of my friend’s key didn’t work. The breakfast spread was very nice. Conflicted to recommend…
