Horrible experience No air conditioner a fan that worked horribly. The Service at the hotel never did anything about it. The suite was an apartment with low ceilings and stairs to a second floor not worth going. Very poor breakfast. The never cleaned the room. Asked for a new one and they said the hotel was full. I suspect other rooms were run down and closed since we only bumped into 1 other couple the whole stay DON’T GO!!!

Antiq Palace, Historic Hotels of Europe, is located in an impressive 16th century palatial noble city residence in the very heart of the centre of Ljubljana, boasting one of the most prestigious addresses in the city on Gosposka 10 Street.

My fiancé inquired about room rates via email, asking if they could make a deal that we could offer to our wedding guests. On Booking we could book the rooms for €140 per night. They replied to my fiancé’s email that we could rent their rooms for…€220 per night! When we asked why they would charge us so much more for the exact same rooms and the exact same dates, they never replied.

Me and my parents stayed here for 5 days. Everything was perfect! The staff was EXTREMELY nice and helpful. The room was very clean, all the bathroom utensils and also bathrobes and slippers were provided. Breakfast wasn't large, but offered everything one needs for breakfast. The lady that served breakfast was SO thoughtful and attentive. We had a very nice apartment with 2 bedrooms and large living room and kitchen on the second floor. It was the best equipped kitchen I've ever seen! Tbere were 2 flat screen TVs. The location is very central, so everything is in walking distance. It's located in the pedestrian zone, but parking lot can be provided and some taxis even come to the door and even if not, the pick up point is max. 150 m (2 minute walk) away. Upon our request the staff organised a 2 hour city tour with guide for us. The guide (Aygul) was also very nice and told us plenty of interesting information and helpful tips about the city. We are overall very pleased with our stay and will definitely stay again in this hotel, if we ever visit Ljubljana again.

There was no warm water in the shower. No water in the mini bar. The garden was closed. No SPA despite name. Breakfast only starts at 8.

Sijainti upea, mutta palvelu huonoa. Siivous tehtiin vain 2 kertaa viikon aikana ja sekin huolimattomasti. Aamupala niukka. Pyysimme kerran illalla myöhään saada syödä oman pizzamme loppuun sisäpihalla, jossa ei ollut muita asiakkaita. Olisimme ostaneet kyllä juotavaa hotellin baarista. Se ei sopinut. Hotellin järjestämä lentokenttäkuljetus maksaa 55e, vaikka tavallinen taksi kentälle on vain 15-20 euroa.

I have a very bad experience with this hotel in general. The concept of the hotel is interesting, while you are in the lobby everything seems old-fashionedly beautiful, the fairy tale ends when you enter the room of this 4 star "luxury hotel" in the heart of Ljubljana. At that moment, you realize that you will be smelling the stench of a medieval sewer for all 4 nights, to the point where you are forced to sleep with the window open when it is 10 degrees at night. Even before all this, I slept with the curtains open for two days, because their cheap design is not meant to cover the windows. To give you an idea, the shower room was in front of a huge window that looked out on dozens of other apartments in the block. Maybe it was my mistake, but I didn't realize that the blinds were hidden in the inside of the window. But they are so cleverly hidden that even 2 staff members did not know they existed. One of them came with a sheet to cover the windows. Yes, a 4 star hotel. Showers. The concept of the hotel is old, and from that old - once a super modern shower, the door of which fell out and I could not close the door. Yes, I asked to change my room, 2 times, and was refused because there was no room. I was in a situation where it was one of the 2 options for the last available hotels in the city, and I had come for work those days. I had no time for relocation or quarrels. Before all this, people were coming and going at night, which is normal. But it's not normal that when a neighbor closes his door, your door shakes so much that you wake up at 00:00. Breakfast was also a circus. Only toast and a boiled egg were warm. You couldn't make your own coffee, you had to wait for someone to make you coffee, someone who made it seems like there were 3 things to do and didn't have time for anything. Breakfast starts at 8, at that time you have to wait for the plates, because not everything was taken out. For those who have to be at a meeting somewhere outside the city at 9, it is very inconvenient and stressful The only plus was a gentleman who called me a taxi every morning. The only normal service for the whole time in this hotel. Honestly, I think this hotel has big problems in general. I don't understand how it can have 4 stars. Maybe the inspectors were only in the corridor. And for all this I paid 500 euros for 4 nights. Never again and I don't advise you if you want even the slightest comfort. I am attaching photos, unfortunately the smell cannot be photographed.

The hotell is in a great location, Ljubljana is loveley. It says on the website that all rooms should have AC. Our business double room did not have AC. It is also stated that it is a spa-hotell but the spa is closed beacause of COVID (in 2023?). Our bathroom had no trashcan in the bathroom even though you are supposed to dry your hands with paper towels. The TV schedule in the room shows lots of channels for the TV but almost all channels are scrambled and unwatchable. All in all, the stay was OK but the hotell is "oversold" as a 4 star luxury hotell. Staff is however superfriendly and helpful! If expectations are lowered, the hotell is ok!

This hotel is very well located and the inside courtyard is quite nice. We were however a bit disappointed with our stay there. We had booked a room with a king bed and the bed we got was a small double (140cm) with a poor mattress. There are no window blinds so expect to be woken up by sunrise. We wanted to do laundry like advertised on their website but they didn’t have the service. Same thing for the spa there is no spa there.

Amazing place! We're literally staying in a palatial suite that has housed dignitaries through the centuries. Love the mosaic gold-tiled floors.

This is probably my favorite hotel that I've been to when traveling the world. I try my hardest to always get a room here when I visit Slovenia as it has history, the best staff and it's near everything in the downtown area. I've been countless times in the past even with family. They have super fun apartment sized rooms for larger groups and victorian style rooms for singles. I honestly cannot express my gratitude and love for this hotel enough, it's a must stay!

Missing piece of curtain (in front of the bathroom), paper thin walls, not properly cleaned rooms (the mug and the wine glass were literally sticky), dust, congested shower cabin, and incredible cold in my room. Avoid!

Very nice and cozy place, spacey rooms/apartments, well furnished and quiet. Not ok for people with disabilities, due to many stairs and elevator not reaching all floors. Parking must be booked in advance, the hotel is in a restricted area of the town, not accessible without permission.

Very disappointing. Dirty hotel (found a few hairs in the bed and the bathroom, a dead insect, bathtub is mold, walls of the room are sticky), and not well maintained (one lamp wasn't working, some premises are a real mess). Staff is not professional at all. As a comparison, I have been better treated in a 3 star hotel located in the Slovenian countryside...

I came for a Zen massage today with Ayla and it was fantastic. She was very patient and ensured that I was comfortable throughout the process. I would definitely recommend the spa.

This hotel is advertising their apartments on Airbnb. Their accommodation description there is completely misleading. On my arrival, I was offered accommodation that was nothing as advertised in size and appearance. The owner was rude and unwilling to listen. I had to engage Airbnb to get help with the refund. It was extremely unpleasant and stressful, I advise caution when booking this hotel.

Very disappointed. Cannot recommend this property, and it certainly is not a “small luxury hotel”. We were celebrating our anniversary, and wanted a 4* hotel in Ljubljana. Booked the Antiq Palace because of it’s location and website description/photos. We want to say that the staff are great. But, the management/ownership are letting down the staff and guests. The property is in much need of upgrades and repairs. Covid is no excuse. We know hotels that took advantage of Covid to upgrade their properties. This property was once a beautiful palace, it has the potential to be one again. (3 nights; Sept. 2-5)

Disappointing - at the very best this place is a 3 star hotel. The rates are the only thing putting it on the same level as a four star. The service is lacking (at best) and while the rooms are clean they seem like they could use some TLC (or for that matter - ANY investment). My greatest surprise was to find that there was no blanket on the bed (or in the room) presenting a bit of a challenge after a long night out with friends. That said - the common areas are very nicely done and the music from the music college next door was a great way to wake up. In one word - AVOID.

The place is very unique. The building is really old and it is perfect choice for someone who like to has a feeling that he/she is in an antique luxury hotel. The atrium is nicely decorated and in the middle of the building, there is a cute garden where you can drink a coffee or just read a newspaper.

Location is great. In the old part of town, in the no car zone, and near the river. Service is excellent. Building is old and beautiful and simple. Furniture is fitting with decor. Various gathering areas. Breakfast is delicious with many savory items. One small negative is a few minor items in room needed repairs.

It is one of the best hotels I have ever been to! Very unique place that combines classical and modern elements. My room was very spacious with comfortable bed and amazing bathroom. Hotel staff is very kind and helpful. The location is perfect as the hotel is in the city center close to all main tourist spots, bars and restaurants.

So nice and friendly staff. Spacious rooms that are also very well equipped. Excellent location as it is close to the city centre, but also quite and cozy. Breakfast is very rich and offers dishes for all preferences. The prices might be a bit higher than average ones, but it is totally worthy for the magnificent experience you will get here. One of the best hotels I've been in.

Beautiful old palace, with all the charm from 500 years ago when it was built. The rooms were huge and we had great view out to the back street through the bay view double widows. With the old building come issues, with a little water leaking from the shower into the room and some noise from the neighbors at night. Breakfast was average, but with the amazing location, it was not hard to find eateries nearby. Beware, if you have an early start, nothing in this town opens before 7:30 - 8, apart from some bakeries, including the hotel breakfast. The charm of this hotel is worth the stay.

Located in the heart of Ljubljana in a beautiful historical building, walking distance to everything you need. Staff was friendly, rooms were spacious and well maintained. Will definitely come again soon!
