Tim and the rest of the crew (shout out to Lena!) are awesome. They were so accommodating to me and my friend as we were traveling by bike - they helped us find a safe place to store our bikes and gear. Lovely hostel with clean rooms and super easy check in/out process. Super casual and friendly vibes. Definitely have a stay here if you're visiting Ljubljana!

So many good things to say about this gem! I stayed in both the private room and a dorm, and can rate them both positively. The dorm is spacious and oh my godd the beds and pillows are comfy! There are good sized lockers for each person in the rooms, and every guest gets a free towel to use - love that! The hostel has a kitchen with microwave, fridge, stovetop, heaps of different bowls and plates for us to use. At reception theres a pool table and chill area. Very nice vibes. Some people mention it's a 25min walk into the city centre, but honestly it's the perfect location. You can jump on a bus which comes regularly, which will take you to the city center in 4 minutes for something like €1. Aladin Hostel is only a short walk to this insanely beautiful lake and chill area, which all the people staying in the centre are probably missing ;) And last of all, the owner. What an absolute legend. It's always nice being a traveller in a new country and having the hostel manager really want you to have a good time and enjoy your stay. Tim goes out of his way to help you and give suggestions. He even helped me set up my Slovenian SIM card! Couldn't recommend this hostel enough.

I never left a review for an accommodation before. After leaving this hostel, I really wanted to leave a 5-star one. That says a lot. Super Clean, has space for everything, all the appliances work great. Heaven

Friendly service. Welcome and feel home feeling. Clean. We had a double bed and shared bathroom. After a bad booking due to hostel world they were very friendly to offer us another room. If you book with hostel world Check before you pay. We recommend this place! Easy place to enter the old town through the Parc or with the bus or taxi.

Best hostel I’ve ever stayed in! The rooms are clean, each floor is equipped with a small kitchen to share and the common areas are nice. Big shoutout to the staff, who are just the best. Very willing to help with whatever, and they give you helpful recommendations. Keep in mind it’s a fair bit away from the city center, but it’s easy to rent a Bolt or a bike, book a taxi or walk for 30 minutes. I would definitely recommend!

The owner Tim is fantastic. Extremely friendly, helpful, and gives out his phone number if you need anything. 10/10 would recommend on this alone. Look forward to coming back!

[for ERASMUS students - STUDIO option] I have lived with my partner in a studio for 5 months there. ROOM - cozy, but claustrophobic, no windows on an eye level; no door in the bathroom, there was a photocell light bulb in the corridor which would randomly light itself during the nigh; in the room there are chairs that we were scared to sit on because of the risk of breaking; long time neighbor smokes and you will smell it in your room; ALSO - during the night new visitors (or sometimes drunk students) often thought that doors to our studio led to reception so they banged to our door in the middle of the night - always lock the doors!!!! positives: kitchen equipped with utensils, there are both microwave, fridge and kettle there - only for you; not shared like in a single room option INTERNET - it often went out, so we had to use our own mobile data. It was the worst when it happened during online classes/tests. LOCATION - it's NOT "15min by foot from the city center," consider your university and the way you want to spend time, from main square its at least 40minutes by foot LAUNDRY - costs around 6€ when landlord does it for you, you can also use Speed Queen laundromat which is close - we used it, but it was pricey and water was smelly and we could smell it on our clothes unfortunately MONEY - if you can, plan to be in hostel from beginning of the month because you will have to pay for the whole month; and READ (!!!) the contract - e.g. there will be CLEANING SERVICE mentioned there - when we first came there the landlord mentioned that he himself cleaned the apartment; before our last day we cleaned the whole apartment like it was never before (contract said - if you clean it yourself you have to pay 50€; if you don't do anything you have to pay 100€). In the end, we were ripped off 150€ with promise to give us back the additional 50€ but there is no reaction since August. Also we didn't get our deposit back for almost 2 months.

Tim was super kind, helpful, and accommodating even though I messed up our reservation a few weeks back! I met a lot of fun people here, had a great rainy night in at the pool table and was super satisfied with my accommodations. Would stay again.

Absolutely loved our stay here. Had a great time with the host (super nice guy and super helpful). His name is Tim and he really is a one man army. He does everything by himself and he does it great. Met super cool people here, everything was clean and playing pool in the lobby is really fun. There‘s a cafe just around the corner where you ger super high quality coffee for little money and even get a discount as a guest in the Aladin hostel. Tim also gave us great tips and recommendations for Ljubljana.

I spontaneously spend a night there after some problems with another hostel. Staff checked me in super quickly, they answered all of my questions with a kind smile and my room was clean and super comfortable! Also, there is a supermarket and a bus stop down the street, which was very convenient.

The owner is super friendly and can help a lot with many information about Ljubljana. Easy check in and out. The hostel has a nice group room and a kitchen with basic stuff to create nice meals. The room was clean and basic. The area around the hostel is not too busy but you have a bus or a 30 minute walk into the city. The supermarket is small but can provide everything you might need? Unfortunately someone (some traveler) left a bag with something in the kitchen, so some ants were there. But the next day, everything was directly cleaned up by the owner himself, so the kitchen was always clean. We can’t complain and are thankful for the nice stay.

The location of this hostel is great, easy access to public transportation but far enough away from any loud disturbances. The staff were really really friendly and helpful and recommended us some really great places to visit and eat! The ability to rent bikes was amazing, really cheap and really useful! The rooms were smaller than most places with only four beds which is really nice as you can really get to know the other people in your room. The facilities were great and we loved it!

The best part about this hostel is the staff. Pir and Tim are incredible and went way out of their way to help me with tips and services to make my stay in Slovenia incredible. The hostel facilities are adequate, particularly in the dorm rooms that have air conditioning. The location is not directly in the center, but not that far away either. Overall, I highly recommend this hostel because of the staff and the value!

Me and my wife had 2 nights and the experience was really great! The owner Tim was really welcoming and shared loads of local information with us along with loads of high 5's. The twin room was really nice and clean same with the bathroom! The position is great keeping it cost effective but with 20 minute walk into Ljubljana. Would stay again making it a great chance to meet fellow travelers! Steve & Kelly.

The hostel team was very friendly and helpful. The room was nicely clean and generously furnished. I have never slept so well in a hostel as here - a really comfortable bed! I can really recommend this hostel to anyone who wants to meet international people. It's great!

Aladin Hostel is a very nice place to be. The owner Tim is very nice, helpful and friendly. The city of Ljubljana is just a twenty minutes walk away or you can rent a bicycle by Tim, for just 6€ a Day. Very fair and easy. We just need ten minutes into the center of the lovely Ljubljana. We really recommended to stay here and visit Ljubljana. Hvala Tim!!

The host/owner is a great dude! The rooms are kept clean and it's a lovely place to stay if you want great value on your trip. Note: It's a little walk from the town centre (about 3km) but a taxi is only 6 euros or so.
