This
one
was
on
my
bucket
list
for
years,
and
finally
got
to
see
it.
If
you
are
well-prepared
and
know
what
you
are
going
to
attend,
it
will
be
a
memorable
experience.
First
of
all,
buy
your
tickets
in
advance!
Even
if
you
have
just
arrived
to
the
parking
lot,
buy
your
tickets
on
the
phone,
so
you
don't
have
to
queue
at
the
ticket
office,
and
you
can
spend
your
waiting
time
meaningfully.
The
surroundings
are
beautiful,
there
is
a
self-service
restaurant,
souvenir
shops,
you
can
visit
the
Vivarium
(if
you
have
bought
a
combined
ticket),
anything
is
better
than
waiting
in
an
endless
line.
You
can
enter
the
cave
no
earlier
than
15
minutes
before
your
time
shown
on
your
ticket.
The
cave
itself
is
well
lit,
you
arrive
by
a
train,
the
walk
is
relatively
easy,
even
elderly
can
do
the
tour.
The
sights
are
phenomenal,
you
get
some
basic
information
from
your
tour
guide
(available
in
several
languages,
or
you
can
choose
to
rent
a
personal
audio
guide
in
many
more
languages),
there
is
even
a
souvenir
shop
and
a
toilet
at
the
end
of
your
route
(within
the
cave).
The
whole
experience
is
like
going
to
a
Disneyland,
with
its
pros
and
cons
(well
maintained
place
with
good
infrastructure,
everything
happens
like
clockwork,
but
with
lots
of
people
on
busy
days).
Make
sure
you
wear
the
proper
outfit
for
the
tour,
which
means
waterproof
clothing
and
dressed
up
for
10
degrees
Celsius.
The
train
ride
is
a
little
windier,
the
walk
itself
will
keep
you
a
bit
warmer.
Make
sure
you
follow
the
etiquette
(shown
by
the
Caveman),
and
enjoy
the
tour!
And
don't
forget
to
visit
Skocjan
cave
too,
which
is
less
crowded,
and
you
spend
more
time
in
the
nature.
