A horrible shopping experience at JD Sports in Queen Street. I always try and be friendly when shopping and this experience has made me think I'm wasting my time because a smile here was greeted with a blank state. When I asked Staff in the store they were chatting when I approached to ask if I could try on a pair of trainers. I got the impression I was interrupting them. I waited a further 5 minutes standing there thinking I was a problem. I then after this saddening experience decided to leave and spent my money elsewhere. I smiled at the girl at the front of the store and said thank you as I left and was greeted with a blank stare again. People working here seem go be too busy chatting and not helping customers. This was an appalling shopping experience, my advice would be to buy online.

They have a lot of good stuff but the customer service is very poor. You can't find someone who can assist you with your queries, which makes it absolutely difficult to shop

Horrible shopping experience starting from the moment i stepped in, the girl at gate seemed mentally absent and didn't even bother to look at me when i asked if i could leave my shopping bags (asked her 3 times) at the security counter while I shop at their store, later took about 15 mins find help at the floor then they took about 20 mins to bring me the shoe i asked for!! Worth mentioning it was not even a busy day, the kids on floor are either undertrained or not paid well enough to keep them happy at work. Never stepping in this particular store again.

Visited Talbot Green store first who did not stock shoe. Advised me that Cardiff City Centre carried more stock... Telephoned in advance before travelling to Cardiff City CentreStore. Was told they had the exact shoe and size (Jordans One in Blue size 8). Arrived to be told they do not stock that shoe. Spoke to the manager who was nice enough. Happy to say after some persuasion my son choose another shoe instead. Manager said he would have given me a discount if he owned the shop. Poor customer service when you get incorrect information over the phone before travelling and paying for parking.

Fabulous choice in so many styles and sizes. Staff patient and helpful. However we gave one member a wide birth as he was streaming with a cold. Should have been sent home. Sorry but had to say

Absolutely horrible customer service. Had to go walk up to the employees to have them help me even though they were just stood around chatting. My partner is Kurdish you can tell by his appearance and his English - and they made sure to make us feel as if he is not welcome in the shop. As we had cash but some were £50 notes, they checked for fakes which is understandable (I work in retail as well). What hurt me is they didn’t once say sorry, when my partner joked about there being no fakes the guy cut him off and said ‘we have to do this for every single one’, with no apology offered after. The worker then looked at his colleague and I heard their interaction: ‘What did he say?’ ‘I think he said ‘I promise no fakes’’ *scoffs* Other customers were staring at us as well - the employees reaction to this whole scenario made me feel like a criminal simply due to the fact I’m accompanied by a dark-skinned man. Like, you can have these conversations with your colleagues when the customer is not there RIGHT IN FRONT IF YOU!!! Absolutely racist and trashy behaviour. Compete opposite from Doc Martens - they checked the 2 leftover £50 notes we had and they profusely apologised and they explained it’s mandatory and it’s for everyone. Absolutely fabulous customer service. JD Sports, please learn to hire careful, attentive, but *definitely not racist and discriminating* people. Thank you for your time.

Staff chatting to each other instead of helping out. Rude and disrespectful.

Absolutely disgusting bought clothes for our twins yesterday. Today my daughter put on her leggings didn't sit on anything. Got in a taxi to go into Cardiff for the day when she got out I saw 7 holes in them. Went to shop I'm disabled had to walk a long way. First guy said just take a pair into the changing room and we will exchange them. That was satisfactory. We swapped took to the till and they refused to exchange them!!!!!!!! Expected her to walk around in just underwear or buy ANOTHER PAIR. I will be putting a serious complaint into JD head quarters after the weekend we are on holiday its completely unacceptable and has cost us a fortune to get back to jd for them to be so unhelpful then a taxi back to our hotel I'm disabled its been an absolute nightmare DO NOT SHOP THERE . I had watched her put them on new a lunchtime toady when we left the hotel.

Chaotic with poorly trained staff. £120 for a pair of shoes is not like buying a pint of milk. Get professional

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! When I left the store, having bought nothing, I was followed into a shop by a relentless member of staff. They forced me back to the store to check my bag thoroughly. Their attitude was disgusting, thought I was an easy target and made me feel like a criminal.

Nice staff but it's hard to get their attention to stop and help you, they just whizz right past me even though they could see I needed help! Great sales too.

My partner didn't get served. Two young male employees chatting to each other rather than looking to see who could be helped. Walked out in the end.

Horrible experience. Went there to buy few things. After grabbing 3 items we have been followed to the changing room. (Assuming) manager rudly asked another member of staff to watch us. When we finished trying things out he came himself and grabbed things out of our hands. After asking him if there is any problem, he rudly said "are you going to buy it?!" - we explained that we want to get one out of three things. But we left shop without buying anything after being followed again to the rail we took things from.

Their salesman behavior is worst. Yesterday we went to buy a Nike AF1. It was about 6.30 PM. The shop is about to close at 8 PM. Their behavior seems not fine when we entered to the outlet. They seems angry on us as we went to the closing time. A white boy seems racist to me as well. This is not good. NEED TO CHANGE THE SALESMAN AND SALESWOMAN on this outlet.
