We were placed outside, where it was very cold. At the end it turned out that they had a section that had some outdoor heating but we weren't deemed worthy of that. Other tables were invited inside and we were left outside. We were told it was table side service but service was non existent. Generally poor. Food was ok, hard to say too much about drinks as we couldn't get attention to have them refreshed. Skip it, or make sure you sit inside where presumably the staff exist. Also, found out after the meal that they do have blankets but didn't offer us any.

The low star reviews are just plain stupid for starters. People moaning about healthy food or being cold - they don't claim its healthy, and if you're cold outside get a jacket. On with the review, great experience eating as a solo diner, staff were friendly, the JFC was delicious, the pork crackling was crispy but soft, and the fish and chips was a perfect size. Will definitely revisit when in the area and I'd recommend it to anyone travelling.

Found the whole meal to be surprisingly excellent. Service was quick and prices reasonable. We thought it would be good, but not that good. Lamb burger was nice, but the pastry on the pie was particularly good.

Absolutely superb food, really pleasant atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Outdoor seating was fantastic, lovely to sit on the stable and have an overhead heater to take the chill off. Lovely bottle of house red. Ribs and burger beautiful! Highly recommended!!

I would give 10 stars if it was an option. Not the average pub experience, this is how all the others should be! Burger (bearded men) was delicious, and the chips were crispy and super fresh. I really enjoyed that the burger was served with red cabbage for a crunch as opposed to the usual lettuce/tomato/onion combo. Friendly team with excellent service.

A gem in Llangollen - this pub has a beautiful atmosphere inside and on the outside terrace! We especially loved seeing the original well in the reception. We had some delicious food with local ingredients and a great hostess 😊 The outdoor terrace had live music over the weekend and the selection of drinks were great! Cannot wait to come back for another "Fab" cocktail 🧉

Best place in the village I visited for food. Great menu and great service. Dog and mountain bike friendly. Staff are very attentive, the guy on front of house especially so - he remembered my drink (Coors) from the day before! I will call again when I'm in the area.

Service was poor and not really interested in serving the customer. No-one was very attentive and no-one seemed to know anything (or care) about the place and it's history. We were sat outside, which is where most of the tables are. That was fine, except half way through our food we discovered we were in a smokers area which was awful. No-one asked if that was ok when we were seated and there was no information to that effect. It seems that if you smoke you get to sit in the comfy booth with the heater, but if not you have to sit in the the middle of the cold patio area. Food was nothing special and the menu choice was disappointing. There are better places for dinner in Llangollen.

Dog friendly pub with polite staff. We stopped in for a Sunday roast and had a great table by the fire. Food was good and cooked well, nice change to have vegetables that weren't the standard peas and carrots. The crumble was huge, but the apple was a little bland and the overall dish was very sweet. One of the best places to eat in Llangollen and reasonably priced.

What a lovely hidden gem. Definatly books especially on weekends. They have a lovely outdoor space, restraubt space and apparently a bar too which we didn't visit. The food was amazing and the staff were so lovely. Couldn't fault anything.

Tasty food, beautiful interior. Portions seemed a bit small for the price, but the quality of the food and the taste was excellent. Staff seemed to be dressed like sailors which made no sense.

This was an unexpected stop off in by Llangollen for a spot of food on our way to the Faraway Follies🍽️🍺😋 and in all fairness was our second choice of venue as didn't realise it was best to pre book. We were provided with a booking at very short notice and upon arrival promptly shown to our table. Our coats were hung up with water being delivered to our table. The service was good, all were polite and friendly and our food order flowed quickly from start to finish. I personally enjoyed listening to the mix up of 70s soft rock music playing in the background (reminiscing on my childhood years of my patents music era) aswell as the more modern genres. The food tasted so good that I didn't want to pour my gravy onto my plate and miss out on all the flavours and oh my we definately had no regrets in choosing the 'Knickerbocker Glory' and were so glad that we had one each and not sharing as it was so mouth watering with all the fruit & creamy flavours that we just couldn't stop the spoonfuls flowing until it was all gone. Inside the building it had a glass screened well and seperate glass screen cellar. Toilets and the whole of the building was airy and very clean. Staff were casually and smartly dressed and was great to see the kitchen staff in the open kitchen. We highly recommend you try out the Three Eagles when you call in by Llangollen as this is now our first choice for the next time we stop in by this lovely & lively little Welsh town :-)

Lovely clean place, staff friendly and very attentive. Food was ample and absolutely delicious we had 2x Sunday lunch 1 beef and 1beef and pork, the meat was cooked to perfection, all the accompaniments were beautiful. We also had a beefburger off the children's menu which was very tasty and a good sized portion. We decided as lunch was so nice we would indulge in pudding and we weren't disappointed with the knickerbocker glory and the child's brownie. Definitely recommend, thank you for a lovely start to our day out in llangollen.

Lovely place. The young gentleman behind the bar is always welcoming and friendly, the dog is ALWAYS offered a bowl of water. We live locally and its a lovely spot to go for a drink. It may not be as picturesque as the competition but I've always got a seat and always been looked after. Made to feel welcome. Beer is good, their own beer is nice, my wife enjoys her drinks (Gins)

We were recommended The Three Eagles by another local shop owner which is always a good sign! This place has won awards for its food and it's clear why. The place is good both for a quick drink (which we had earlier in the day in the large garden area) or a sit down meal...and is vast spread out across 3 floors. Good local menu with Welsh Burger and Lamb to sample. We had White Bait and Bang Bang Cauliflower to start followed by the Falafel and Welsh Lamb. All well cooked and full of flavour. Alioli with the lamb was to die for. There was for me an overly long gap between the starter and main.l, hence the four stars but the quality of the food itself is worth the full 5. So if you are in Llangollen, do check this place out.

Fabulous place with the best staff & a great menu. We arrived during Happy Hour, so we got 20% off our bottle of wine. I can’t praise the staff enough. Every one was friendly & attentive. We came with our dog and we were made to feel really welcome. We were told they served chicken feet 😬 which our dog scoffed down. Overall I would highly recommend The Three Eagles. Probably the best pub in Llangollen. We will be back!

Loved this venue and the menu. The black sheep burger was delicious and the JFC was mouth wateringly good. The venue was really clean, very welcoming. Allergies were checked for before sitting down. Loved the fact that the menu wasn't just "normal pub grub" and that there was a nice twist on the offering. Everyone was welcomed warmly. Good area for dogs to sit and we observed that the dogs were automatically offered a clean bowl of water at the same as their humans were offered drinks. Nice touch. All in all can't wait to come back and try other things off the menu 🥰🥰

Sat in the marquee lovely sunny day. Outside bar too. Great service and lovely food I booked as its Bank Holiday and good job I did as it started to get really busy. Had the bearded man burger. Gorgeous. Picture below

Food was quite tasty. The lady that greeted and seated us was really nice but the rest of the staff seemed overwhelmed and we waited a very long time for everything, even just a jug of water took 3 separate asks. I loved the decor, especially the mirror at the entrance and the see through floor element to see the wine cellar but was very let down by service.

Lovely bar, great service and cracking drinks! Massive beer garden with plenty of seating and lots of space to help stay safe. Highly recommended!

Decent gastropub. Inside is nicely decorated, staff were very friendly and the food was, on the whole good without excelling. The burgers were over cooked and a little dry. The main thing that let it down was serving the food in plastic baskets with a paper lining - a bit cheap to say the least. Nice selection of beers.

Had a night in Llangollen, this came up as a good place to eat, we loved it, great ambiance and superb food, not cheap but worth it for the experience, special thanks to our hostess Holly. If in area will do again, Dinner with starters and the fillet stake. Make sure you book so your not disappointed.

👍 Apologies no photos of the tavern. Just returned from a visit to my home town Llangollen. My first (and then second) visit to the ‘relatively new’ Liberty Tavern in Market Street. First visit, a private function. Very tasty tapas and good choice of beers. Second visit (Tuesday) QUIZ NIGHT. Great f...
