Before
I
start
I
need
to
say
that
I
would
be
more
than
happy
to
return
the
the
Royal
Star
anytime,
the
faults
I
found
were
minor
but
worth
a
mention
and
the
negative
reviews
were
unfair
in
my
opinion.
The
hotel
uses
a
card
system
for
it
AI
service
rather
than
a
band
which
is
a
good
idea
in
theory
(and
doesn't
hinder
the
sun
tan!)
but
they
also
give
you
a
card
for
a
glass
each
at
the
bar
which
they
take
off
you
sometimes.
We
had
about
20
when
we
went
home
and
never
understood
the
purpose
of
them.
The
rooms
are
tired
and
need
an
update,
especially
the
bathrooms
with
the
awful
shower
curtain
that
sticks
to
your
body
(and
doesn't
stay
in
the
bath)
There's
washing
lines
above
the
bath
(with
rusty
fittings)
which
I
also
found
strange
BUT
one
of
the
best
powerful
showers
I've
ever
had
away
from
home.
Free
shampoo
and
shower
gel
replenished
every
day,
clean
towels
every
day
(Only
big
enough
to
cover
a
child
but
that's
normal
in
my
experience!)
.
Beds
were
really
hard
but
didn't
kill
us
and
bedlinen
was
clean.
Mattresses
had
waterproof
pads
on
them
which
I
found
VERY
uncomfortable
in
the
heat
and
often
woke
up
in
a
puddle
of
sweat.
Centrally
controlled
AirCon
which
was
OK
but
ideally
I
would
have
liked
it
cooler.
You
have
to
pay
for
a
fridge
which
I
wasn't
impressed
with
either.
Cleaners
were
excellent
though
and
visited
every
day.
Food
was
a
good
standard
for
an
All-Inc
and
the
only
night
we
had
to
eat
elsewhere
was
seafood
night
but
that's
just
personal
taste.
They
encourage
you
not
to
waste
so
there's
a
lot
of
little
pots
with
food
in
(sometimes
unrecognisable!)
like
tapas
but
no
description
of
its
contents
except
the
protein.
Always
some
meat
cooked
fresh
on
the
grill
(Pork
chops
were
gorgeous)
and
a
huge
pan
of
paella.
There's
always
chips
too....quelle
surprise.......
The
drinks
machines
in
the
dining
room
are
horrendous
and
hardly
ever
work.
There
was
only
1
bar
open
which
to
be
honest
looked
like
my
local
working
mans
club.
Local
Drinks
were
Ok,
certainly
did
their
job
and
the
beer
is
Estrella
so
can't
fault
it.
Cocktails
available
free
and
slush
at
an
extra
charge.
Bar
staff
were
lovely
in
the
most,
although
a
couple
of
them
would
benefit
from
a
customer
service
course!
Entertainment
was
pretty
cringey
but
as
there
wasn't
many
people
to
entertain
I
can
only
hope
it's
better
in
high
season.
We
avoided
it
most
nights.
Pool
area
kept
clean
but
you
weren't
allowed
to
go
out
before
10am
which
I
found
ridiculous
as
I'm
an
early
riser
and
lost
a
couple
of
hours
sun
every
day.
They
originally
said
no
drinks
around
the
pool
but
everyone
ignored
that
because
it
was
silly.
Lots
of
rules
i.e.
no
inflatables,
no
diving,
no
jumping,
no
swimming
(I
made
that
one
up!!)
so
if
you're
an
Olympic
diver
or
synchronised
swimmer
then
it's
not
for
you
but
I'm
happy
bobbing.
Summary.
It
was
a
budget
holiday
and
worth
every
penny.
Came
home
(to
the
rain)
with
a
big
smile
on
my
face
so
can't
ask
for
more.
