    Completely fine branch of mcd. Has a drive through with a bit of a silly circular navigation to get into it... But its fine. Small inside if you went in, staff are nice enough. good point is its right off Edinburgh bypass so easy to hop off and back on the road again. You either love or hate McDonald's. At least the hash browns are properly cooked even if the bacon on a morning is so pink and flaccid looking it still resembles the actual pig 😂

    Absolute disgrace, asked for a big tasty with no tomatoes, got a big tasty with tomatoes and no bun. There is always something missing from your order. I think some of the staff need additional training.

    Food was up to the usual McDonald's standard and absolutely fine. Ordered on the app for sit in; food delivered almost without acknowledgement. This one has a terrible car park where you have to queue with the drive through folk to get a space (of which there are very few). You also need to fight with the same queue to get out again! Probably better parking in the retail park and walking in to be honest.

    It’s okay. I ordered large meal. Charged for a large meal. Although, the fries carton was half full (certainly not a large portion) and didn’t taste very nice. Hopefully, they’ll improve. Will just go elsewhere in future.

    My order didn’t go through to the screens where they are made up for some reason so when I approached the staff as I had waited a little longer than expected they made my order up however my autistic son wasn’t so understanding about the wait and started getting distressed. Rather than the normal staring we normally endure your staff member ( elderly lady with white, short hair) approached my son to speak to him and gave him colouring paper and crayons and helped escort us to our table. It made our visit so nice and relaxed and I cannot thank her enough. This small gesture has made my day and was so lovely. Thank you again.

    This restaurant has went so downhill recently, especially at the weekends. I've waited 20/25 mins in the drive through just for a coffee on a morning. Staff do not seem to ask anyone to park up which I'm sure would help with waiting times. There seems to be a lot of different staff from before.

    Asked for a double big make no roll. Had to drive back and refuced a refund. Manager has no idea what she is doing obviously. Absolutely disgraceful

    I give these guys 5-star every time because when I come around at 5 on a Saturday morning they're dealing with all the dregs of society and most of the nutters in Edinburgh and still manage consistently to make great food and remain calm under the most extreme of pressures

    They employe kids here who cba working and often get orders wrong or often have missing items. We usually get orders on a Friday for the kids and atleast half of the time there is something missing. It's more hassle than it's worth going back to sort it so usually someone goes without a burger. Always check your order before leaving.

    I was in 2 weeks past on Thursday placed my order and while I was waiting 1 of the girls behind the counter was scratching her he'd then scratched her nose then processed to touch the food without washing her hands. I spoke to the shift manager who was not very helpful all she done was asked the girl to wash her hands. I have been a catering manger for a number of years and this is not exceptable in any way where is the hand and food hygiene policy. I won't be back

    Long queues, 15 minute wait for food and that's inside at the counter. Seriously understaffed, and what little staff there are, are stressed to the max and look utterly miserable. The massive potholes outside don't help the place either. Could do better.

    Ordered via the app and the delivery wasn't made I tried to phone the driver and it went right to gifgaf voicemail i managed to message them but they clearly they couldn't read my detailed instructions of my address . I contacted mcdonald's they said its Ubers fault, Uber said its mcdonald's fault basically ignoring the fact I lost out on food and money the whole thing has left me angry and hungry.

    Just popped in for a breakfast after an early start and a walk with the dog on a damp, slightly miserable, morning. Asked the young lad on the comes for a sausage patty on its own, and when I got to the window he had already realised it was for the dog and put it through as an add on to my roll but asked the kitchen to stick it in its own box for me. Absolutely fantastic service. Thank you 😊

    Went to have breakfast with my Nephew, unfortunately the card readers weren't working so it was cash only thankfully there was change in the car which was enough to pay for the food, The food arrived reasonably quickly & it was so piping hot, Bacon & Egg McMuffin was cooked beautifully along with Hash Brown's & Bacon Roll which again was beautifully cooked, this was an early stop as we were dropping a friend at Edinburgh Airport for a 5.30am check in so it made sense to go to McDonald's at Straiton for some food, we weren't disappointed, it was very clean including the toilets, the staff were polite, helpful & immaculately dressed, it really was a pleasure to eat there, thank you McDonald's Straiton, you outdid yourselves..

    It was very frustrating to see people sitting down around corners after I went investigating to ask for napkins. The play iPads being broken on the tables don’t help the places appearance. But seeing an off duty worker swanning around in a long coat getting herself food and drinks while customers waited was the most galling The hash browns were cold, but I’m usually not fussed by something of that level to write a review!

    I was really disappointed with my recent experience at the McDonald's. The food was first wrong order with extras than a cold one. On top of that, the cold coffee I ordered was lukewarm at best. The service was slow, and the staff seemed indifferent to our concerns. Overall, it was a letdown, and I don't think I'll be returning anytime soon.

    The drive thru queue is always ridiculously long and the car park is also very difficult and small. Due to the long wait times, food and drinks are a let down - Soggy fries with no salt, no ice in drinks, burgers are cold etc. Tried it twice now and probably will never return... Save your money and go to another store or keep driving up the road to the other fast food chains.

    Have ordered often from here, hoping that each time would be better but no! Literally 10min max away ( that’s on a busy day) but food is always cold and you never get any condiments or even balsamic vinegar especially if side salad when you ask for this or dips for cheese melts etc even though you’re spending a fair amount of money ( not all on me just to be clear) so totally give up with this place and will not return ever!

    24hr service (allegedly) but never open past midnight at any time in the past 3 weeks for walk in. Will happily do drive in but won't do footfall. I literally walked into the staff entrance to be told there was no staff to cover walk in. There was 6 staff staring at me. You have the staff there to do both, get your act together. If you can't hire outside security then hire your own.

    Avoid this McDonalds at all costs! Traffic to get in and out of the car park is terrible, not helped by clueless staff trying to manage it. Drive thru element is badly managed and slow which means you can be at a standstill for a very long time. Food is consistently cold and service is also slow inside the restaurant.

    Bought 3 frappes earlier . They were out of chocolate ones so got strawberries n cream, I asked for a topping of flakes & said I will pay extra. The really nice girl at the order point said “no it’s fine “ . Went to pick up point only to be told (when woman was handing me the drinks) that next time I can’t do that , and that the girl can get in trouble !!! I made clear that I told the girl I will pay extra when ordering & she replied no it’s fine . I was then told that the girl at order point didn’t say that I had offered to pay extra!!! I offered to pay again (as I was willing to before ordering!) but the woman said it’s fine now but the girl could get in trouble . Shocked!!! Found a strand of hair in the burger today (16.07.22) . Yuck!!! Have contacted customer service .

    Waited around 20 minutes in the drive thru. Fair - it was after 12am and likely food was cook to order but parking cars would be an ideal start to make service a little faster.

    Quality of all these chains have dropped dramatically over the last couple years. Can't remember the last time iv received a hot meal from any of the "restaurants" from now on if there's a close enough alternative, I'll be going there.

    Only 1 star because one of our party had a large drink dropped on them by a member of staff. No manager was called. Had to ask for one and tell them what needed to be done. Young female manager was very apologetic and replaced soaked food and refunded it. Had we not asked for a manager, I doubt she would have been informed

    Delivery services have ruined this. It is no longer fast food. You enter and there is one person in front. The automated ordering screen doesn't print. You then have 10-15 delieroo guys come in and pick up whilst you wait an age for your stone cold food. No mcflurrys as is tradition.machine is not working 😒

    That was by far the slowest fast food experience I ever had. After waiting for over 20 minutes we got our wraps but the sauces were mixed up! I had a word with a manager and went to swap them and by the time we actually got our food it was already cold! There is plenty of other places to have a bite on that retail park and we chose Mcdonald over others for speed and the convenience of quick service but next time I will simply go elsewhere.

    Went in for the first time in this branch. Didn't have to wait to order as it was not crowded. My order was ready within minutes of ordering. Pretty fast I would say. The staff was nice. The tables were getting cleaned immediately after the customers leave. Drive through is also there.

    Straiton McDonald’s I’d like to take the time to give a special shout-out to a young gentleman called Matthew. When going into McDonald’s today, Matthew was on the floor greeting customers as they came in and making sure to keep the place presentable. He was going out of his way to help take finished trays away from customers that were done. Overall I just wanted to say he is an absolute credit to the place and I wanted his hard work and efforts to be recognised. Well done Matthew for being a gent and I’ll be sure to come back very soon.     On a recent visit the drive thru and car park was a complete shambles with traffic barely moving at points due to the majority of traffic joining the drive thru preventing others from getting out. At a point someone was so close to damaging my car as the were obviously sick of waiting and proceeded to squeeze their vehicle through a tight gap. I appreciate the restaurant may have been busy but I find it very hard to believe that no member of staff didn’t noticed the build up of traffic around the building. On collecting my order I felt it appropriate to mention the drive thur and car park situation to the girl who gave me my order. She agreed and said someone should have been managing this although she wasn’t sure where they had went. She did say she would mention to her manager, which I believe she did. Unsurprisingly on collecting my order there was again a wait to get out the car park and on returning home which is a short distance away. All the food was cold with the chips actually freezing. All had to be reheated.

    Too many crying children. Tasteless chips. No salt sashes? For some reason along with the global shortage of McDonald’s milkshakes they are now also running dangerously low on salt packets. First time I’ve ever been in a McDonald’s and not been able to put salt on my tasteless fries.

    I’m not a fan of McDonald’s. Always seems to be busy and the toilets are cramped, never seems to be any soap or toilet tissue in there. During the day it’s filled with kids (which is fair enough) and at night it’s full of boy/girl racers

    Usually good speedy service from this branch but not on this visit. I placed my breakfast order and despite the branch being quiet, waited at least 15 minutes only for them to give my order to another waiting customer by mistake. Though to be fair they did rectify this mistake quickly.

    Food was cold even though the drive through was busy! asked for bbq sauce an didn’t get it. Young chap at drive through was swearing an could be heard. But the food had clearly been cooked for a while as it had no heat at all.
