I placed a order for city view bar and grill through door dash. My mom used to love city view back in the day and since it's been so long since the last time I been I decided to give them a try. Worst mistake of my life smh. I ordered a broiled seafood platter using door dash at 9:00pm! When I finally received my food @11:30 pm it looked as if they just threw everything in the box shook it up then said here ... food was horrendously horrible, cold and bland. The mashed potatoes tasted like Cornstarch and water yuck.. the crab cake was dry and wayyy to small for the meal to total $40 smh never again city view NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Covid definitely killed City View. Their food, drinks, and service all sucks. I Before covid, I used to go there every Wednesday and Friday. The drinks were good and the food was good they cared that you were satisfied. Now people come for a place to listen to music, they really drink and eat elsewhere and come to socialize and dance. They don't come to eat and drink cause they're offering trash. Now to the new place they call The View...smdh

I hadn't been there for years! And even though the place looks a bit run down it brought back good memories and the food was on point! Additionally, the waitress (the name on the receipt is Ashley) was absolutely AWESOME.

Came here on a Wednesday evening for my mom's birthday. It's happy hour all day! The food was delicious, the drinks were good, and the DJ was on point! We had a wonderful time. It was a party of 12, and we were seated right away. City View is always a vibe!

The food and drinks were really good. My party ordered wings, crab balls, and nachos. The nachos were tasty. The honey old bay wings were a hit!! I liked my wings, but not the flavor. They did not have a traditional Thai Chilli taste, so it I didn't care for them. Drinks were delicious. Our waitress was attentive. You can only enter on one side of the parking lot. I know I took pics of my food and drinks, but they are nowhere to be found. Google Photos is acting up on me!!!

The service and food were mediocre at best. I got a chicken salad wrap and it had no seasoning or taste but I can say it was a hearty wrap. The fries were ok but also nothing spectacular. The drinks were alright too. The bartender was nice but it was just her behind the bar so as people came in for happy hours she was not able to be as attentive as she could have been. They definitely needed an extra bartender there at that time. I was there from 1pm til about 530 and when I was leaving another person came in but by this point it was already busy. I'm sure this is a nice establishment that people love but I more than likely will not be returning. But again, the staff was very pleasant.

I ordered the bourbon salmon with sweet potatoes and green beans. The salmon was very good however they should have marinated the salmon with the bourbon sauce. Instead they put the sauce in a cup that you could pour over the salmon. The sauce was like water so it didn't really stick to the salmon. The sweet potatoes were very sweet and the green beans were dry and bland. The atmosphere was kind of ratchet. I wouldn't return there.

Great place to mingle. The birthday party I planned went very well. Everyone had a great time eating, dancing and talking. The food was great. The music was right on time. The waitress kept everyone fed and she,Gina was very cooperative and quick. Thanks to everyone working there for their cooperative attitude.

The bar didn't serve bourbon my partner was a little upset about that. We just had buffalo wings and drinks. Serve was ok and so we the food. But nothing stood up to make me was to come back.

I think City View has the potential to be an amazing establishment! Honestly, if the wait/hostess staff was managed a bit stricter they would be unstoppable. The atmosphere is very chill and geared towards a crowd 25 and older. The food was good! It's your typical bar food cooked with a pinch of love. The bar was booming and seemed to have happy customers around it.

I always enjoy their food and enjoy the service. I recently had food delivered, and it was packaged well. The food was still hot when it arrived. The stuffed salmon is the best.

This place has HH everyday except Saturday. I enjoy my visits each time, especially when I don't have floor seating. The servers seemed to overwhelmed with the floor seating. The bartenders are great. Food wise, the lamb chops, the fried & baked wings, the egg rolls (cheesesteak or seafood), steamed shrimps w/ onions, fried pork chops are a few of my choices w/o issues.

My husband and I had buffalo wings for the app and shrimp stuffed with imperial with Mac & cheese and loaded baked potato. Everything was good. Mixed drinks are a good size and reasonably priced.

It was my first time there. I heard so many great things about this place. I had to attend. I tried once before there was nowhere to park close, so I left. I arrived around 6:30 pm. I found a close spot to park. The food was good. I had chicken nachos and a quesadilla. Nachos is amazing, but the quesadilla needed something. That's why I gave them a 4-star food the food. It was a Thursday, and they had a dj. The music was good. I will be returning. I will try something other than nachos, but that is my go-to when I go out😅. Damien, my waiter was absolutely amazing.  The food came out before 7 pm and I arrived at 6:41. He was on it. I had a panty dropper and a long island. Both were amazing.  I will be there next Thursday if you see this join me! I am listening to Bring em out, so an invite is a must! Come meet me there!!!! The DJ is killing it😅😅🙌🏼

Pretty chill atmosphere for a Saturday night. Jason the bartender was awesome. I will return just for him alone. He was friendly and fast with mixing up the drinks.

This restaurant had some of the most amazing garlic parmesan wings I've ever had! And their sweet chili wings are crunchy heaven. They are under-staffed, so expect a wait, and skip the salads.

This place has really gone down. I ordered something simple like Nachos. They even messed that up. The ground beef was all dried out and they put melted regular cheese along with Velveeta on it to try and make it better. I didn't bother to send it back because it was at Happy Hour price. Plus it took them over an hour to bring our food. That's probably why my ground beef was dried out. A friend of mine had chicken tacos. The chicken was cut into little cubes like it came out of a can. The drinks were weak as well. Usually 1 long island ice tea gets me tipsy if it's made right. I had two and still wasn't tipsy. The waitress felt bad for the food taking so long that she gave us a free drink. However, as stated before the drinks were weak. The place was half empty. Now I know why.

Overpriced for no reason. This restaurant is geared to people who aren't use to really good food or service. The process are like they are upscale but they definitely are not. My appetizers came out with my main dish, had to end up boxing that to go. And the food wasn't good at all. It was cold but that was due to my waitress mostly out front sitting on the curb talking. Food was probably sitting in the kitchen too long. Would revisit this spot at all.

Entertainment is good food needs improvement services is slow. Please get a new chief the food hasva reputation now. NEED MORE PARKING!!

Great food and atmosphere service could be better

Though it has changed owners a few times over the years it has always been a community staple, a place to go and meet friends and listen to great jazz and see people you haven't seen in a long long time. The new owner is a pretty cool guy.... he sits down talks with you, makes sure everything is to your liking and if it's not.... he makes sure it is. Pargo's... ooppss... City View will always be on my list. ;)

Decided to stop here because they had a bar. Black owned, decent size restaurant. Menu has ALOT of options so it was hard to decide but also had a happy hour menu (12-7p). Opted for salmon bites and fries. Salmon bites were fried a little harder than my liking and could use some seasoning, fries were a win because you can never go wrong fresh cut. My drink from the bar was good, waitress was efficient and I enjoyed the music. I would definitely come back and try something else on the menu.

I ordered the jumbo lump crab cake sandwich. It was super fishy ( tastes exp.) and was backfin meat. The service is always good but the building is super outdated and some of the food seems old or cooked in old grease. It was the same when I ordered the crab pretzel eating in. This is some of the crabmeat smashed.

We went in for an event, the music was great, the crowd was 35 and over. We did not eat but the food look good, because it was so crowded it was difficult to get a drink but we managed. The parking lot is small for a place that holds that many people. It was overall a really great experience because I was with friends.

My experience here was the worst! My Aunt wanted to celebrate her birthday here, and a week prior to our attending she paid to reserve two tables. When she gets to City View a half hour prior to her reservation she sees that they have given her tables away. After a bunch of back and forth with the "manager" we were able to get one of her tables, and the manager kept stating that the people who were at the second table had paid their bill and were leaving soon, but they wind up staying later than we did. City View refused to take accountability and basically tried to make it sound like even though she paid to reserve two tables their policy is they can't really reserve tables during busy times. Apart from that fiasco, they didn't have enough menus fo our table, the food was sub par, and overall a bad experience. I won't be coming here again.

Loved the free bands the food helped to pay for that part of it. Wish they would move the table from in front of the stage its a waste of space that looks out of place in front of a stage. No dance space. We can dance in mask..I loved it when the small floor is opened. Dj mike jones is awesome Naasira.

Visiting from Texas and my friend took me here. I had so much fun! The mussels were delicious, and the music was poppin! The drinks were ok. The deejay and the band had us dancing for hours!

Food ok, service not bad, but the wait time is slow..the waitress kept apologizing..nice atmosphere for the grown folks with R&B jams.

Arrived on a Friday Happy hour, Grown sexy, a mature older crowd. The place had a very nice crowd and old school music played in the background surrounded by many televisions viewing sports. Live music was great. . The food was delicious. I enjoyed a variety of different meals, chicken egg rolls, fish tacos, fried shrimp and fries. Over all, the place was an enjoyable place to visit.

Customer service was excellent. We sat at the bar and watched the Sunday Night NFL game. Bartender was great! The drinks were perfectly made. The food was delicious! Great vibe. There was no dj/music. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Someone who didn’t work there escorted us to our seats. We waited 15 minutes (not exaggerating) for someone to come over and take our order and that was after my friend stood up to see what was going on. Friend ordered crab legs I HAVE NEVER EVER seen a crab leg with no meat in it but she had four. She sent her egg rolls back. The crab legs looked like they were thawed out and there was no sign of seasoning. My food was not great. I was going to generously give the waitress $10 just because There was gratuity on “MY” ticket I should have received a couple of dollars back I was going to give to the homeless guy outside . The waitress came back and said she couldn’t return my change because she didn’t have access to any I LAUGHED and said keep it Theeeeeen out of nowhere she returned to the register opened it and to my surprise there was a bucket load of singles, 5’s and 10’s SMH employees started cursing and singing loud when “their song” came on. After a long stressful workweek smh that just wasn’t it! I regretted spending more than $50.00, expecting more and just wasting time that I can never get back 😔

Hostesses, wait staff are extremely rude, they will keep you waiting to be seated and then waiting to order and May be get to you once their friends/ locals/ regulars are served. It got to a point and this happened more than once when we left After waiting for an extended period of time. Food is also sub par. So many more options to choose from. I’ll pass.

Absolutely wonderful place. Happy Gour is lit. Food is great. The chicken cheese steak egg rolls and seafood egg rolls are to die for. I've visited several times and never had an issue

It was my first time there. Everything was nice. The food, DJ, and the waitress was exceptional. She was pleasant. I really enjoyed my visit. Plan to go back soon.

This was my first time retiring here in awhile and things were different first I ordered a Long Island off the happy hour menu and the first one I got was pretty good however when it came to my second and last one it tasted like mostly gin was in the drink and was not good at all to the point after two sips I didn’t want anymore so that was a waste, I also ordered lemon pepper wings that were very mid at best it tasted like they just sprinkled a little lemon pepper on the regular fried wings right before they brought them out I did not enjoy them finally I ordered crab balls which the waiter forgot about so an hour later he ten actually put my order in they were pretty good but would have been nice to have gotten them when I actually ordered them and not over an hour later in my opinion they have work to do and I won’t be returning again for a while

Great place to hang out and eat with friends and hear live music on Fridays. I came to see VIZION BAND play, and they were awesome!!! The service kind of depends on who is behind the bar. Sometimes, it's exceptional, and other times, it's lacking. On the whole, I'd say the service averages out regular. The food is great and you get big portions also the drinks are usually strong! Great setup, I like the 2 tier seating area. My bandleaders' wife and I enjoyed our drinks and took some selfies 🤳🏾

We sat at the bar for a good 5 minutes and never got waited on , the bartender helped someone who walked up to the bar before helping us. I will not be going back 🤷🏽‍♀️

The experience was very good. Had a party of seven, requiring two tables due to Covid related requirements. Food was delicious, service was perfect. What more could you want? Going back soon!

The food was delicious and the prices was great. However going in there was a challenge I'm disable and I didn't see a handicap asesable route to get in there at first and they had the way to get at the bottom where I was seated at blocked off with a big speaker they had to move everything so that I could get out, but other than that it was nice place to eat. My waitress was so sweet and atenttive to us.

I really liked this place. They had a great vibe, friendly staff, and most importantly: great food. We went on a Saturday night when they had a and playing some R&B / soul classics. The drinks were well made and the service was quick. I'll definitely be coming back.

I was invited to a 81st Birthday celebration for a wonderful person. Really nice place with Live Band at 9pm on a Friday. I had a variety of flavored wings and steamed shrimp both were delicious.
