Have been here twice before, had lovely service both times. But today was served by the rudest person I've ever come across. He didn't know the difference between species of shrimp they sell in the store, when I tried to explain how to tell the difference, I was told I'm an amateur and no clue what I was talking about. I wanted Darwin algae eaters but he kept trying to give me yellow cherry shrimp, and also refused to catch more than 2 because they are so hard to catch. Although I've kept many diffenerent species of nano shrimp and fish for years, and have a number of heavily planted tanks, I don't consider myself to be an expert by any stretch but I spend thousands of dollars per year on my hobby. When I asked some questions about aquarium plants I was told it doesn't matter, because I would kill them anyway. He was repeatedly rude to my 7 year old son, who has an absolute excitement around fish keeping, even told my son to wait outside because he would break something or get in a grown ups way. I've only lived in the local area for a couple of months, so it ĺooks like I'll have to find a new aquarium shop. I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone. No one deserves to be spoken to in this manner, especially the younger generation when they do nothing wrong but show an excitement and passion for fish keeping. After we left the store my 7 year old son said "why was that man so mean to me?"

We had a quick look in here to just have a browse. Lots of interesting things.. the fish look well looked after and there’s lots of different kinds including freshwater fish, saltwater fish and even seahorse!

Some Staff are unfriendly but found once the younger bloke came free from chatting at length unnecessary with customers when we made our intent to purchase quite afew fish and products totaling $220+ dollars we stood for 10 mins while two other staff ignored us despite asking them. You have to go all the way through the plant nursery to enter the store and then again back through to exit. Store was under stocked and the layout caused us to walk the shop criss cross over 3 times to see the fish. Great variety of salt water espically the live coral and anemones. 45min visit should've been just 20mins on a day there was only 4 customers during time we were there and being 2nd into the store.

All I can say is listen to the honest reviews about diseased fish and don’t believe their “just out of quarantine posts” we bought a majestic Angel and an emperor Angel 2 weeks prior to our whole tank getting nuked! A purple tang, flame Angel, blue line Angel, majestic, emperor, 5xdesigner clowns , royal gramma, coral beauty, copperband, ember blenny, engineer goby and moorish idol!- all thriving prior! I don’t know what mutant diseases these fish have but we learned the hard way NEVER trust that “Quarantined” means actually quarantined! It was absolutely a stupid decision on our side to trust that theyre healthy fish. Even if we did a full QT on them at home prior to adding them into the DP they wouldn’t have survived with whatever internal and external parasite storm they had brewing! We went back to the store the weekend after buying them seeing so many dead, diseased fish that were “newly released from quarantine” we just turned around and walked out! Such a shame to see in the small marine hobby untrustworthy inhumane and robbery of fish and customers!

A well stocked (considering the current conditions) little business. Knowledgeable, friendly staff are only too happy to help with advice, water testing and much more.

We bought two Oscar’s exactly 1 week ago and they have already died, out tank parameters are good and we have a lot of experience in owning fish,. Extremely disappointed and will never be going there again. Also to add in that the staff are really rude and have no knowledge on types of fish!

A proper aquarium shop with a huge variety of fish and corals! All the workers have helped me set up my new tank. Now I have a gorgeous bristle nose catfish who lives with the most curious and placid male Betta fish! Couldn't recommend more especially with their experience and love for all things marine!

Great aquarium store conveniently located within a great nursery. An excellent and wide array of marine fish, sea anemones, live rock, coral and accessories. A good range of tropical fish accessories and foods. Very good service, informative and friendly. Been there a few times and keep coming back.

A real gem, set inside the Native Nursery makes it even better. A wide selection of hard to find reef and fresh fish, plants, coral and inverts. Often has odd filter fittings or lights others dont stock, also.

Fantastic place - lots of freshwater and marine fish for sale. Staff are knowledgeable and great to talk with as well. To get into the shop, go through the garden centre and once through the garden shop, head towards the right hand side of the lot. Parking is good, but be advised that this place is popular on weekends as the carpark is common to both the aquarium shop and the garden centre.

Good stock levels but not enough staff with extensive knowledge on the weekends when most people visit. Fish are healthy and corals are too. Can't comment on anything fresh water though. Reasonably priced livestock

We went on a spur of the moment thing. Unfortunately we went protected to get in the water, so got our clothes wet. Despite that, it was a fantastic experience. My daughter reckons it was the best experience of her life!

These guys are amazing and have a broad range of corals, fish and other aqua babies. Dave is amazing and one of the only people I trust for full aquarium advice!! Couldn’t recommend Dave enough!!!

Excellent customer service and a really good range of aquarium accessories

Come in to buy some marine fish and noticed quite a few deceased fish throughout the tanks. Got in early and you'd think someone would have noticed it all prior to opening. Decided against the fish as I didn't want to risk it and was going to buy some Live rock waited 5 minutes for a young girl to start assisting me then all of a sudden she had to run away when the phone went off after 2 rings. Lost a customer from this experience for sure. Bad customer service. Bad quality of fishstock and much better places close by who actually care for customer experiences. My money was spent elsewhere.

Great for marine life and plants but the Cafe is no good. If the Cafe/food/service was awesome the location would do the rest and this place would be a must.

Originally from Sydney. Had to go to them for aquasoil, as couldn't find any place with something similar. Dymax brand, which is a cheap brand, but cost the same as you would pay for ada. Looked around and not impressed at all with their prices or their fresh water fish selection. Tanks looked terrible. Plants are expensive and covered in black beard. Got what I needed, as I needed it urgently, but will order from now on from Sydney.

Terrible do not look after anything. $60 Coral died few days after putting in tank. Fish always dead in tank.

We went and had a shark and ray adventure. 100% recommend. The Dad and Son team were amazingly knowledgeable, helpful and patient as we were excitedly introduced to the well named animals. Doug, Michelle, Houdini and Fish n Chips were our favorites. Thank you so much! We can't wait to come back.

Marine: Come here every couple of weeks and find a serious number of dead/dying marine fish or lots of fish with diseases. I leave without buying anything because of this. Prices for the fish and coral are inflated heaps as well. Wouldn’t put what should be a cheap fish in my tank and risk losing my entire livestock. Reason I come every couple of weeks is that I pray it gets better.

Fantastic products and advice for first time aquarium family.

I have spent tens of thousands of dollars at this place and lately it has just been one bad experience after the next. Not even treated like a good, repeat customer! Also, so much for many, many months waiting for a pair of Katoi Wrasse. Not even a courteous call to tell me one was gone and only held one for me. I will no longer be coming back to this place and I’m glad to take my business elsewhere.

Nice place with some nice equipment and live stock. However at times I find the staff to be quite rude and ignore you when you're obviously trying to get some livestock or equipment. Was also sold animal that if died would release toxic chemicals in my tank which I was not told about. Which it did and killed all of my fish. Still a nice shop but the person or people in charge need to get their staff inline to be more professional with customer services. I am still a large client and quite a friendly person and if they don't get their staff together I'll make sure no one comes here. So if the owners read this. Please fix you're staff.

Michael was real helpful today, prepped our coral and live rock with a lot of care and provided us with a proper styrofoam box for transporting in an effort to preserve the live bacteria. Provided a lot of helpful info and showed us around the place being first time visitors.

Walked in and was immediately blown away. Lots of selection between marine and freshwater fish, corals, and even basic aquarium supplies! Was even amazed the fact the Bettas had driftwood and plants inside the tanks with them…you don’t see that much!The gentlemen that helped me was very professional and you could tell he was extremely knowledgeable along all basis of fish, helped me with some live rock and coral, and was super kind! Sadly didn’t have any GSPs but will def take the trip back up to get some another time! Very friendly and professional customer service and a very large range of fish! Would HIGHLY recommend and will be back!

I go here for getting accessories for my fish tank and to purchase fish. The staff are absolutely incredible and knowledgeable. This is one of the few aquariums that sells marine fish and products. Well kept place, have a coofeeshop inside the compound makes visits more enjoyable.

Have been meaning to head down to Nielsen’s for a while now and yesterday did not disappoint. Great service, knowledge and great displays. Definitely be back again. Thx team!

Staff were not at all helpful even after asking for assistance. Stood around waiting 15min for service even though we had hundreds of dollars worth of stock in our hands to buy.

Beautiful selection of all types of fish

This place is beautiful, has tons of amazing fish that I have never seen before and helpful staff that know what they are talking about. I only got a silver dollar but definitely love the tanks in there especially the one filled with coral. Reasonably priced and great selection would definitely recommend best aquarium I've been in so far.

Myself and 7 children all had a great time, great staff beautiful sharks and rays would highly recommend.

Great group of staff with a good background of Knowledge in both the fish and plant world. Quarantine room! This is a big deal as we all know starting with healthy fish can give fishkeepers of all kinds a big head start to maintaining a happy healthy tank, be it in the aquarium shop or Nursery staff are always happy to take the time you make sure you walk out with what's right for you fish tank or garden.

This is a great place too visit and ship. The staff are very helpful and they have a wonderful variety of things to see.

Yeah...you really need to shut down the sting ray and shark puddle. Like seriously that is sadly small, you honestly can not sit there and think that is a good environment for them??? They just swim in circles going crazy. Can not express just how heartbreaking it is to see.

I was recommended Nielsen's from another aquarium. They didn't have the fish I was looking for, and told me Nielsen's would have some and noted they had high quality stock. I was delighted when I went, there were a broad range of beautiful fish, plants media food etc, set amongst a quality plant nursery. So beautiful you can enjoy the views from the deck of their own cafe. (First time visitor.) I'll be back and recommend to all my friends.

They have a tank here that says if you feed your fish this food they’ll get amazing Colors like the ones in this tank. But they’re simply using a very colourful Rgb light which will literally make even the dullest fish colourful. They’re just trying to push the fish food with the highest markup on you. Staff everytime ive come in here are unlike the staff in the garden sections. They’re either hiding out the back or when you finally get the chance to talk to them they are so quick to find a way to not continue talking to you.

Very healthy and well cared for fish, fair prices, good selection of food and general equipment. I have reduced the rating just recently as I've noticed a large amount of pests in their display and stock tanks. Aiptaisia in there are getting so big they could sell them as grown out aquacultured anemones. Not sure why this has been a problem for them lately and hope they can get on top of it. The nursery is good too
