This is the very first time that I have written a review- good or bad. I probably should take the time to sing the praises, but extra time is very limited. That is why I have ordered many Holiday Meals from Cracker Barrel. I have been more than happy and would sing praises to family, friends and co-workers. This year I am extremely disconcerted and actually quite angry. There will be no boosting to the masses this year! When ordering I noticed that no dessert was included. I could handle that and work around it, so I purchased a pecan pie from Cracker Barrel when I was picking up my meal. I was still happy and rushed to finish up the rest of my Holiday To-Do List. When unpacking my meal at home, I noticed the portions of the sizes with this Easter Meal was disappointing because the bread loaf size containers were not even filled to the top. One can even see the bottom of the pan in the hash brown casserole. The meal I purchased is to feed four to six people, I'm not sure if the portion sizes would even feed three. So, all that being said, one more thing because I"m feeling petty, all the other meals that I have purchased has had a small gift. No dessert added, no free holiday related gift, and small portion sizes, I will not be having Cracker Barrel preparing my Holiday Meals again.

Food and service is what you would expect of Cracker Barrel restaurant. Pancakes are delicious with the warmed maple syrup. This was my first time ordering the Beignets and they were a sweet appetizer, I suggest ordering when you visit. Nice and clean restrooms as well.

First time trying cracker barrel and surprised by the outcome! They offer a large amount of food for a price less than you expect. With so many sides and entrees to choose from, you would want to try everything! Super friendly staff and can browse the gift shop after your feast!

Everything was great - service, atmosphere and food! Large menu, including lunch specials - something for everyone and when you're done go browse their gift store.

Went on a brunch date with my wife and the food was good and the waiter was friendly and came back often to check if we needed anything. Will be back soon

This place can be hit or miss. I got the chicken fried chicken, which was good and the sides were hot. The fried pickles were absolutely drenched in oil and needed to be blotted on a napkin, but after that tasted good. Friendly server and host, though the lady who cashed us out seemed irritated. Not bad for a Monday afternoon, although there's room for improvement.

My wife and I really enjoyed the majority of our meals. However, my bacon was not cooked completely. It was rubbery. When I asked for another order that was cooked all the way, I was brought over-cooked bacon. Also, the atmosphere became so smoke filled that staff had to open the side door to allow smoke from the fireplace to escape. Our waitress was nice and courteous. We will not be returning.

Super Friendly Service! From the Host to the Waitress, everyone was so nice and friendly and had smiles on their faces. The food was great! It was very clean and organized. A little crowded in the gift shop area but it is to be expected on a Sunday morning. The Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Pancakes were amazing, super flavorful too!

I had a bad experience at the State College location where no one waited on me, so I decided to stop at this location during my travels west. Everyone was so kind and friendly. The food was delicious and came out fast. The retail employees were awesome as well. Skip the State College location and head to Altoona!

Good food , great service from Andrew my server. I recommend the fried pork chops dinner!

The food was amazing! And it came out quickly. Our waitress was very kind😊of course the atmosphere in crackle barrel is always stunning,don’t forget to check out their amazing shop on the way out

This place is consistently understaffed and busy! It’s sad that the management team is not present on the restaurant floor helping the associates serve and deliver food. We came in today and waited over 5 minute for our server to greet us! Normally I don’t care about waiting but the host just kept sitting tables without making people wait from the beginning! If the team are in the weeds the wait should be at the host station and obviously the management team were not present! It’s sad that because the team don’t have proper leadership watching the servers that the people suffer. A guy had to stand up for his check and people waited for drinks! So disappointed 😢

Great service, always fast and staff is friendly. Our server Nancy was awesome. Thank you Nancy for such amazing service. Food was delicious as always. Now we can substitute for healthier options. Also, there was plenty of parking available

Will not be back. Used to love dining here, was one of our favorites. I feel the food as well as the level of service has gone down dramatically in the last couple of years. Our most recent experience was the worse to date. Half the menu wasn’t available, our waitress was extremely rude. Didn’t get our biscuits until we inquired about them, only to have them thrown done on the table at us and no butter or jelly. Our drink remained empty the majority of the time because she ignored our requests for refills. The cherry on top was that once our food came out , it was cold and the incorrect. When we brought this to her attention she was very dismissive and refused to make the corrections. What used to be a nice family restaurant has turned into a waste of money and time.
