Wonderful experience! Alejandro was great, very warm and inviting and extremely knowledgeable with the wines, the vineyards and everything in between to make the beautiful wines. Our experience was extra special because it was wine harvest season so we got to see everything in action. At the end of the tour we had a tasting of 4 wines, all were spectacular. I loved this experience because it was unique compared to other wine tasting, the company itself is also very unique and special. They are special because of the small scale they are operating on and the high quality they are producing. Great company story and family owned business, if you have the time it’s definitely worth the stop!

Incredible winery in the heart of Logroño. They make delicious wines quite different from other Rioja traditional wines, focusing on terroir and small plots, especially from la Rioja Oriental. The winery is a small garage where everything is made there by hand. Alejandro is really nice and passionate and I had the pleasure to meet Javier, the winemaker, who is a wonderful person too. They also make a wonderful olive oil. A must visit for any wine lover.

I wholeheartedly agree with everyone saying how fantastic their experience at Arizcuren Bodega was! Together with a group of friends, we signed up for a boutique winery tour and wine tasting. Alejandro made us feel wonderfully welcome from the start, his knowledge of his trade and passion for winemaking are very impressive, and the wines he introduced to us were sheer poetry (solo granacha stole my heart away - the wine tasted like the music of best baroque artists). The bodega is small and conveniently located within a walking distance from the centre of Logroño. The compact size of the place actually means a more intensive experience and a chance to almost participate in the process of wine magic. I highly recommend this bodega to anyone visiting Logroño. Together with my friends, we are very grateful to Alejandro and his wine passion. And it was really lovely to meet Megan Nelson, who happened to be in the same small wine tasting group and whose opinion is immediately below mine.

A wonderful tour of the bodega and really outstanding wines for such a small production run. We visited on the evening of 13/10/2021 and had an exceptional tour followed by a tasting. Amazing to see how a small (tiny) bodega works in such a confined space. If you're ever in the area make sure you arrange a visit!

Excellent experience. Great introducing to Rioja Baja. Alejandro is a great story teller and has loads of passion about the way they are producing their wine. It is interesting to see how in such a small urban celler they are currently producing such tasty wines. Solo Garnacha is a must. (Jun-2022). A year later we are just back from this tour in Logroño and it keeps the same quality. Special thanks to Aida for the great tour today. (Sep-2023).

Had a very quick stopover to pick up some unique local wines recommended by a person from San Sebastián. Staff was exceptionally warm and took me on a quick tour and tasted 6 wines. I didn’t expect that. The wine is so amazing, the single vineyard ones blew me away. If I had more luggage space I would buy more.

I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Do not miss it. First of all, we stopped in without a reservation and Alejandro was willing to accommodate us, in English no less. He showed us their operations, all of which (except the growing) occur at the garage. We tried a handful of the wines and he answered all of our questions very patiently. It was a great place to stop so early in our visit because the context will be useful for future wineries. Plus, the wine was all fantastic and we left with two bottles each of everything we tasted.

Wow! Fantastic, personalised experience learning about this boutique winery and tasting delicious wines. A definite highlight of our visit to Logroño. We particularly enjoyed the solo mazuelo wine. Book a tour and tasting here- you will not regret it!

Truly exceptional wine maker! When tasting those wines, one realises instantly, that these wines are something special! Even though from Rioja, these wines have such restrained elegance, are harmonious and have unbeatable balance! Even though small, it hasn't kept the winery owner Javier away from offering stable, high quality. Even more, he has stretched the boundaries even further - by growing garnacha and doing it to perfection!

We just happened upon this incredible urban winery. They normally only take appointments, but Alejandro was kind enough to show us around and even do a tasting for us. The wines were amazing! They're doing some really fantastic things with single-varietals. If you're in Logrono I highly recommend getting an appointment here. You won't regret it!

Perfect place to learn about the wines of Rioja traditional and modern. Tasting was excellent with vertical tastings of different grape varieties. ageing methods and wine styles. Small groups, as small venue but we learnt so much. Tasting also included their olive oil and craft chocolate wine truffles made by a local chocolate maker. Highly recommended. Whatever your knowledge of wine you will learn something here.

It is not a tasting in a conventional vineyard which makes it practical if you are a tourist and do not have a car to get around, but no doubt the quality of the wines is very good as they do not manufacture wines in industrial volume. The girl who gave us the presentation was so kindly, experience 100 recommended!!

The presentation was very instructive and at the end we finished by tasting a number of excellent wines. Our hostess’ English was impeccable and overall a memorable experience in Logroño. We highly recommend.

We had a great experience at Arizcuren. Oscar was personable to our group and very informative. Great information and explanation about the area, Rioja wines and the Arizcuren winery. So thorough! We also enjoyed walking around the winery and tasting some delicious wines. Very impressive. Fun, that we could walk right from our hotel because it is in town. Impressive!!! Thanks Arizcuren. If you are in Logroño, add it to your list.
