Shortest river in Germany and very beautiful. Even more beautiful after the redesign work currently taking place around the town hall...

There are beautiful places and great hiking trails on the shortest river in Germany. It is worth visiting the renatured areas in the city and on Lake Padersee.

Germany's shortest river - only 4km long, but a real and very pretty addition to the city of Paderborn. So enrichment is an understatement - the Pader is THE reason for the existence of the city of Paderborn. The Pader spring area in the middle of the city and not far from the cathedral offers cafés, walking paths and many attractive places to linger - not to mention the shopping opportunities. So - a small river but obviously of great importance ;-) - so big that an entire city has named itself after the source of the river ;-)

any small river that has its source almost everywhere in the city. Charlemagne meets Leo 3 here and the city has been linked to Le Mans by a treaty of eternal friendship since the 9th century.
