This is a nice family style breakfast restaurant. Our booth was small but comfortable. There was a large selection of dishes available on the menu. 2 of my children brought me here for Father's day. I had a combo meal, eggs, pancakes bacon and sausage. My daughter had a crepe with fresh strawberries, my son a skillet and a side of pancakes. It was delicious.

This is my ABSOLUTE favorite breakfast spot. When I lived here I went weekly, sometimes twice a week. If I didn’t have anyone to go with, I went by myself, so you know if I’m in town I’m stopping in. Of course they never disappoint. I had my favorite: a vegetarian skillet with a biscuit and a side of gravy. My man has the Wisconsin omelet with pancakes. Phenomenal as usual, and always too much to eat in one setting. You can never go wrong with Red Apple!

Stopped by here on my way home from Chicago. This was a great stop on our trip. Service and food were great. If you are looking for a nice place for breakfast I'd give them a try.

Our family loves visiting here when we’re in town. The waitress and staff are very friendly. The servings are just way too big. The “small” pancake stack is 4 but they are so big still a lot goes to waist. If you’re not super hungry try a Sampler menu or the Belgian waffle. Also I would give them 5 stars if they served Maple syrup!

They've got a lot of great food, but I usually get a waffle with blueberries. This has become the place that my mom and I will go when she visits. I know the food will be good and the service will be great--they are very personable and sweet there. I also recommend the Dutch baby. Definitely check them out. Oh- and the portions are a good size as well :)

What a great place to eat and bring your family. The waitress was very nice and always kept our water and coffees full. I got the Chicken Ranch Sandwich with soup and fries. It was awesome, chicken was perfectly cooked, bread was nice and toasty, and the soup was phenomenal. The owner came and spoke with us to see how everything was, he was very nice, joked around with us for a few minutes. Really gives that nice family vibes. 100% recommend checking out the Red Apple!

Food comes perfectly prepared, and fresh; skillets, pancakes, crepes -- with flavorful toppings. I've always had fantastic service here, when my kids were younger or now older, as well. Classic breakfast place look inside.

Loved my first visit. Had quite a surprise though! For those who doesn't know it - this place serves double portion of eggs!! When they brought my order I thought there was a mistake...instead of 2 eggs, there were 4 shiny sunnysides looking at me 😉 No complaints there: we got two meals out of one! 😁

Traditional, favorite of locals, breakfast spot, with consistently good breakfasts including the potato pancakes. Decor hasn't changed in years and leaves something to be desired but, hey, food is good and waitstaff doesn't skip a beat on filling your coffee cup. Go early on Sunday to miss the after church crowd.

Good place to eat breakfast and or Lunch. The owners remember you and always welcome you. The servers work hard and always pleasant and frequent the tables to fresh your coffee. Always ask how your meal tasted. The owners walk around and make sure every table is serviced. Food is hot and never a wrong meal served as busy as everyone is during either breakfast or lunch. We never feel rushed. We love this place.

This is a great place for breakfast and lunch, and it shows. It's packed and has a waiting list on weekends. They have large breakfast and lunch menus. My husband had one of the skillets and I had a minced ham scramble. Both included potatoes and toast or pancakes. The portions are very generous and the food is very good. We have been here several times and have always received great service.

I used to visit this restaurant pretty frequently about 20 years ago with my mother and my grandmother. I don't think I've been there since. I was in the area and decided to stop in for breakfast with my daughter this morning. The place looked exactly the same! It felt very nostalgic. The restaurant was pretty busy but we were seated right away. Our food came out fairly quickly and everything was delicious. I had the Red Apple Special Skillet with pancakes and my daughter had the Belgian waffle with bacon. Nice, big portions! I brought half of my skillet home and had it for lunch.

Outstanding service, delicious breakfast, great value. Good people serving really good food, big portions. Nowadays the cost of everything is going up, at least here you get great tasting food and a lot of it. Our server April was fantastic

I have gone here for years. The only thing I wish they'd consider changing is their bacon. It is thick and a little chewy. I think thin and crispy would be a great change. Other than that it is the perfect neighborhood breakfast place **little update** back after 2 pandemic non-restaurant years. Same great place same great people. Have plastic dividers between booths which is awesome. New floors look clean and sharp.

The atmosphere was very clean, the food was very good and the service was pretty quick. We got our refills on coffee as well as we got checked them every few minutes to see if we needed anything if we had to make a complaint. There was a small little egg shall piece in the eggs but nobody's perfect. I would highly recommend this place to my friends.

We made reservations for Mother's Day, and thankfully we did, it was packed! The owner brought us right past the long line and to our table. Everything was absolutely FANTASTIC, from the service, to the food, to timeliness! Our waitress was super personable and professionally friendly. The Red Apple has been our #1 choice for Mother's Day for the last 3 years and it will gladly remain our first choice.

You will not leave hungry guaranteed. Had the Irish skillet which was suppose to be 2 eggs came with 4!! Wife had vegetarian omelot and she couldn't finish due to size. Also have choice of toast or pancakes. Bottomless cup of coffee as well. A little dated but still very clean and friendly staff

This restaurant to me, is the very best one in Carol Stream and the surrounding areas. They have the best breakfasts crepes, French toast, pancakes of multiple varieties and terrific baked omelette's and skillets. I especially like their big salads for lunch. The food is nicely presented, the waitresses are very good and the owners are terrific ! You cannot go wrong here. Everything is now getting expensive but here at Red Apple it's worth it. You get what you pay for. A quality value for value dining experience and delicious food. 👍💯

Food is average at best. I intentionally drive there rather than order delivery to save money. You would think they would appreciate a regular customer’s business and be content. But not these guys they take you card and while they’re running it boldly ask( even though there’s already a basket with a sign on it for tips) if I’ll be leaving a tip. A tip for what? Picking up my carry out order? For handing me the bag? Or for the time it takes to run my card in order to get paid the price of the meal. Tip basket is one thing. Let’s the customer decide what they want to do. To ASK in front of other people in line in order to guilt and add a little pressure is NOT how gratuity works. It’s SUPER rude. No other restaurant does that. YOU pay your staff if you think they deserve more money not me on a gd carry out order. Ridiculous and very egregious. Bye bye rotten apple.

This is a great family restaurant. We love coming here for breakfast. The menu isn’t adventurous or complex but it has something for everyone and they cook it just right every time. The staff is always welcoming, courteous, and accommodating.

Good food! Love the apple pancake! Split an omelet and it was fantastic. Our only issue is the tables are so close so you are bumping people sitting behind you. But that's also part of the charm. We will definitely go out of our way for breakfast again!

Amazing spot for breakfast! They had gluten free pancakes and they were delicious! Also had awesome hash browns and turkey sausage.

Bacon, eggs over easy and french toast. Nothing too surprising but all reliably good. The service is excellent, both the seating and the table service. Family owned. Not quite as good as some of the downtown Wheaton options, but cheaper and faster, so it's kind of a question of what you're looking for.

Overall sorry terrible. Cream of chicken soup had no flavor & was like Greek yogurt. Even the crackers served with the soup tasted so stale. Ranch chicken sandwich no flavor and dry. Even the tomato with the sandwich tasted like it was going bad. Had a bite of bf burger. I must say the burger was very good. Everything else needs work

I like the partition booths. The omelet was huge. I had the Italian omelet. The omelet was oven baked. Pretty good. I also ordered the Big Denver to go.

The last time I was here it was called Wags restaurant. Probably around 1985ish..recently had breakfast here. Im pretty sure they are serving leftovers 🥞🥓🍳from 1985. The decor was exactly the same as it was 37 years ago! The Waitresses was the best part. Friendly, and fast service 👍
