Don't get your hopes up about the mental heath team. They really don't care about you. They think they are always right. If you get a care coordinator by the name of Teresa Coyne then you need to ask to switch. She is rude and unprofessional she has an attitude problem. She makes you feel like your worthless. She doesn't respond to emails and when you ask her to call you back she doesn't. The assessment and liaison team doesn't offer you help like referrals to counselling. They simply just tell you of charities that offer free counselling. They do this because it saves money. The less money they spend on people with mental heath issues the more money they have that goes in the back pockets of the highranking managers.

I was referred to this place by my Gp October 2019 and they ended up seeing me at the end of April 2021 . During waiting time they sending letters saying if you don’t respond they will take me off their list . I had 4 sessions so far & all they she talked about is other charities & places that offer help & she will refer me there . I agree with the first review that says the same . They don’t care about mental health . And she said if I don’t attend twice I will be removed . All she does is remind me of how many minutes left and if I come early 5 minutes she won’t see me instead she will meet me later than my appointment. I had high hopes and they all crashed down . This place definitely don’t care about mental health . I used to call them during lockdown to seek help and they never get back to my calls or emails ! Very disappointing place ! I basically leave more depressed than I’m listening to the same story every time !!

Absolutely appalling way to deal with people under certain teams. Home help team fantastic. The leasion on team has still not even bothered to get in contact after leaving my daughter for 2 months without medication and you cannot get hold of them at all. And to top it off a rude lady from the team telling my daughter not to call anymore as it is causing problems. Will definitely looking at complaining to the mental health person in croydon and talking to the local mp. People with mental health issues should never be treated like this!

Abandoned me after promising to help with my homelessness issue and getting me a diagnosis for my meanly health. Texted them during a crisis that I was gonna slit my wrists and they ignored all my messages and never even contacted me back.

Abandoned my daughter after so many promises and her reaching out to them multiple times during suicidal feelings and her lowest moments and they didn't even reply

Absolutely shocking service, they will promise you everything until it comes to actually helping people. They leave you in the gutter, every chance they get. I’ve been seen 3 times by them and spent countless hours going over my issues for a partial diagnosis and still no further explanation. Just avoid the place

New account for a new review. I came to an appointment with CIPTS and i later got kicked off for asking to reschedule because i was sick. I wasnt informed rescheduling counted towards 'did not attend'. Imagine if i had a medical emergency or a family emergency. I had actually requested the appointment to be a phone call if possible which it couldve been since i was called during the appointment time to be told that i will be let go. I was told that im prioritising my physical health and that its fine but they want me to be more committed to coming every week. Whos paying that travel? I have other appointments to attend. I came for an appointment before and they cancelled like 30 mins before after i had traveled all the way there but i cant reschedule for being sick? Is this high school? The person was sincere in that they felt bad over me not coming but their system doesn't work well. You can't expect mentally ill people to be consistent and committed no matter how much they want it. You cannot expect people to devote any time or day to your appointments and also expect them to regulate their weeks and get in a routine but also not book in advance for other health issues. OH AND after months they told me on that discharge call that my autism referral - that they told me they were putting in motion - was nothing to do with them and that they dont handle that. Ive been waiting months. After this experience of how quickly/easily you can be discharged i decided that im just gonna wing it and save up for some time to get a private therapist that i can reschedule and speak to when i want to Overall the team themselves are nice just their system isnt good for people with mental health who struggle. They literally promised help and them dropped me because i was inconvenient with my struggles and because i have other health issues.

Unfortunately this place is staffed with incompetent individuals who do not know their heads from their elbows. The consultant has no understanding and no empathy of side effects or of withdrawal or how it might affect young children and the family. They regularly balls up prescriptions and it’s not clea what purpose they serve in the first place other than to drain Croydon of it's resources and to send people back home with no service and no medication. Absolutely useless, if you're in crisis take yourself to hospital or take the risk... you never know. You're better off alone than with imbeciles interfering in your care. No wonder the people of Croydon are in such a state if this is the outreach team. God help us. If I could give zero stars I would.

When I say I have had enough of misleading information I totally appreciate the respective that from time to time most people get unwell. The subject of matter is that had I had not experienced 20 years of misleading information I would of been able to of obtained suitable housing and employment. Overall I would say SLAM did what they could the support even with all the misleading information the NHS slam team received about treatment and care The last star missing is the star some people don't pay attention to I'm not referring to myself.

Seriously, do not waste your time fellow patients. Having spent a year and a half trying to get help, therapy etc...was lied to so many times, I wouldn't trust them with an earthworm. They exist to gatekeep and dole out meds. My GP told me as much. They add to existing trauma by creating more trauma. Paramedics pick up their mess and tell you they are appalling also. The patamedics bring comfort and clarity and true empathy. This place should indeed be shut down. AVOID.
