Beautiful place but only if you're a fisherman. There are usually many free areas to sit and enjoy the scenery but the first time I went I got the evil eye by an elderly gentleman (assuming warden), later I read a sign saying you can't stop there. I feel like there should be some small allocated space for lone individuals to sit by the water in peace.

9/6/19 On Sunday afternoon we were at White hart lakes to understand what is fishing and the conditions of the regulation for fishing in that lake. Nice place to catch carp, while we stopped in a place where no one was there so as not to disturb and admire the beauty of the place comes a person who maleducatame asked us why we are there and that we must leave immediately from there. Now I understand that we non-EU citizens are not seen well by the "English" locals but !!! from there to take for granted that we are all thieves or villains. Fantastic place & very scenic walks.

Went out on a nice scenic day to go and feed the Ducks, but instead was chastised by a senior warden. After we asked about it as there were atleast 5 free areas for fishing that we could see and we weren't the only ones that went to the so called "swim" areas as we had past atleast 10 between today and yesterday who were there with no one to tell them they could not. Then we were told by those with beer in there hands thats the rules and the warden failed to see that they had beer. Its a Pretty place but unless your running through old and in the accepted group don't expect to stop the English fishermen will chase you off.

Nice place,nice environment but if you decide to do fishing here better don't.It is very hard to catch fish here compere to other places,lakes.Do not come here unless if you want to spend time and money for nothing. Pure waste!!
