Really awesome South Indian food. So different from the usual Indian fare in the UK. Definitely worth a try. The dishes are so flavoursome (and super spicy). Vada Pav was my favourite.

Was walking past this place, wasn’t sure what to expect but walked in… The best south Indian food i had till date in London. Dosas are crispy, chutneys are made to perfection and presentation is immaculate. Say hello 👋 to friendly team Ashwin and Kumari … can’t wait to be back

Simple menu. Tasty and authentic South Indian food. Friendly, welcoming staff and owners. Weekend breakfast buffet can get busy. Going early recommended.

Paid £10pp first then have breakfast buffet, the food doesn't have any meat and only tiny bit veggies in the soup, not many options, they bring dosa freshly fry to the table, somehow they didn't serve our dosa in a roll shape like others, just fold it half, which looks interesting. all tasted alright, service was polite, good for one off experience.

We went here couple of times. The food is great. The service is good. The price is amazing. It’s definitely a must go if you fancy South Indian food. We went there to celebrate a birthday party 🥳 and everyone loved it. The combination of meat curry with dosa was a new experience to me but above all the food was very very tasty.

Wow this food packs a punch! The reviews don’t lie, the food was absolutely delicious. We appreciated being brought through the menu by Sharif, who explained each dish to us and was very patient. The service was really great. Thank you to you all for such a wonderful meal. Would recommend to try as much of the menu as you can, and get the mango lassi! We can’t wait to come back!

I had a great time eating delicious food at your restaurant. We had veg thali and Kalyana veetu mutton curry … yum yum !!The waiters were committed to great service and were very friendly. The atmosphere was awesome and I definitely liked that you have a very modern style. Most importantly, every food and drink on your menu tasted great!

This place serves authentic food. Since the time I heard about this place, I have been there five to seven times in a period of two months especially for the weekend breakfast buffet. Place has an amazing feel to it with instrumental music. It takes me back to India. Food is delicious with rich menu and staff is welcoming. To avoid disappointment make sure to reach early on weekends for a buffet ( we have been turned away once). We also recently visited for Al Carte one evening and that’s also quite nice. Filter coffee and kesar bhaat (buffet only) are my favourites here.

Tried breakfast buffet and I must admit it was as authentic as it could get! Staff were extremely nice and the ambience kept really well. Certainly 5*s for both quality and the taste of the food.

Family run South Indian restaurant. Extremely happy with the food. Very powerful punch and deep flavour from the mutton curry. The menu itself has tons of items I’ve never heard of. Am excited to try them on repeat visits. Pricing is also super reasonable. Highly recommend a visit.

Oct Update: We again went to Mess with some friends and ordered 5 Veg Thalis. The food was quite tasty like before and we would still give it 5 stars. Previously: We had a 5 star experience at Mess. We went at 5:00 p.m. and ordered Chicken curry, Rice and Poori masala. The restaurant executives are very polite and humble. The ambience of the restaurant is almost perfect. There is ample natural light, comfortable seating and pleasant-low-volume-music. The food was delicious and had good portions. Perfectly cooked with great taste.

I love this restaurant. It has a homely feel that is refreshing, while serving good food. You won't be disappointed if you are after authentic Indian food and don't expect the sophistication of Dishoom or high end restaurants.

It was our first time at Mess last night. We will definitely be back. The food was outstanding and our waiter Sheriff was very friendly and informative. The mutton starter wrapped in parotha dipped in the chicken was a great recommendation. I'm looking forward to my next visit.
