😠 The worst spa I've ever been to! So I booked a luxury hammam massage at this spa. There was nothing luxury about it, I turned up and had to find a member of staff who seemed like she couldn't be bothered to be there, next I got changed in the changing rooms that were dirty, paint peeling off the wal... People often mention massage, hammam, room, time, staff, minutes,

The worst spa I've ever been to! So I booked a luxury hammam massage at this spa. There was nothing luxury about it, I turned up and had to find a member of staff who seemed like she couldn't be bothered to be there, next I got changed in the changing rooms that were dirty, paint peeling off the walls, next for the hammam, well if you've ever been for a hammam massage before which I have then you really will be disappointed. So it started with me laying in the steam room which also has paint peeling off the walls but apart from that it was nice. ( that's the only nice part!) Then for the black soap( wasn't black soap) after 10 minutes or so that was washed off, I was told to lay there for 5 minutes and she would be back. After about 15 minutes I left the room to see where my therapist was. I sat and waited outside the room after another 5 minutes she returned and we went back in for the next part of the ritual. I'm not quite sure what the next part was that was put on me but after it was washed off there was no scrubbing of the skin( which is the whole point of a hammam to get rid of dead skin) I asked the therapist what about the scrubbing, and she said that she was sorry but hey didn't have any of the scrubbing mits as the delivery hadn't turned up, so that was that. During the Hammam the therapist moaned that it was so hot for her, I asked aren't you used to it by now, to which she replied, I don't usually do this but the other girls are off so I have to. It left me with the feeling of if they didn't have the correct equipment or the staff that were actually trained in the massage then why would they even bother booking clients in for it. Because I had booked a "luxury" hammam the next part was a back massage, the therapist asked me to lie down on the massage bed, I had to arrange a towel around the face part otherwise my face would be totally covered and I wouldn't be able to breath, she didn't bother, just left a towel covering the hole. Then the massage, poorly done, wasn't professional, totally rushed, she didn't get half the knots out of my back and then it was over. It was all in all supposed to be for 90 minutes I think for more than half of that time I was left alone in the steam room. And all that for £140. I would have happily paid more had the spa been well kept, professional and the treatment actually as it should, but as it was I left feeling very dissapinted which is why I'm bothering to write this review so hopefully no one else makes the same mistake. Whoever is managing this spa really need to sort there act out as I for one will never return!

Worst spa day ever! Staff has no enthusiasm for their job, no pool , no jacuzzi just a small rubbish sauna in the female and males changing rooms. No one showed us anything - very poor customer service. The spa really needs a repair, the showers are so old and difficult to operate. Ild say the only positive thing about the spa day was the massage itself (it was good) but I wouldn’t reccomend this at all - first and last time.

A warning if you're tempted to buy this on Groupon: This was such a rip-off. It definitely isn't worth the £130 they claim it costs because it wasn't worth the £89 I paid. Firstly, it isn't clear how to access the spa when you enter the hotel and the hotel staff give odd directions. As a side note, the hotel lobby looks like Donald Trump personally decorated it. Once I finally found the spa, the worker spent way too much time over explaining things which then cut into my service time. Then, I was told I HAD to use the hammam first even though I wanted the massage first, then the hammam and sauna. The hammam space was just okay, very basic and not at all upscale. The massage was absolutely awful. It's done in an OPEN, non-private space; I get massages on a regular basis and I have never, ever had one done in a non-private space. The worker insisted I keep my wet swimsuit/swimming costume on (because once again, the clock did not stop for the transition from the hammam to massage). After asking me what type of pressure I preferred, at no point did she check with me if it was okay as she went on with the massage. I chose a hot stone massage, and she never asked me if the temperature of the stones was fine (it was not, to the point where I immediately removed a stone from where she placed it). She basically just rubbed a not so nice smelling oil on my legs, feet, and back. And then that was it. At the beginning of the appointment (when she spent way too much time explaining the small locker room to me), I had already indicated a desire to use the sauna. Despite this, the sauna was not turned on when I finished the very underwhelming massage. I had to go hunt down the worker to turn it on, and then it took at least 20 minutes to get to above 40 degrees. I do NOT recommend this Groupon nor this spa at all.

I've visited La Kalon Spa for 60 min deep tissue massage. The massage itself was not too bad it would be much better if I'd get full 60mins instead of getting 40mins!! On the other hand, I was quite pleased that I didn't need to spend there any longer as I was absolutely freezing!!! Luckily there was a sauna so I could heat up a bit after my massage nevertheless, I cought a massive cold becouse it felt so cold there. The massage happens not in the massage room but in the basement of unheated building with no door just a paper screen. Apart from that, during my session my masseuse was called by another member of the staff and talking to her about another customer during my supposedly relaxing session. Don't recommend the place at all!!

Hands down the worst spa/hammam experience I’ve had anywhere in the world. Rude and unfriendly staff, no information provided, hostile atmosphere. And I paid over £400 for a luxury package for 2. Do not waste your money here. I found this place advertised on a review website as one of the best hammam experiences in London. Trust me, it’s anything but

If I could put less I would, I booked a massage from virgin experiences, follow the instructions called, booked it I was really looking forward to my experience, I took the day off from work (as a holiday to treat my self) when I arrived I didn’t have a booking it was like it never existed. I’m very disappointed and would never recommend to even think about doing plans to go. It’s a complete fraud

I booked this spa after seeing an offer on Groupon. The spa said they would match the offer as I did not want to purchase the voucher from Groupon and then the spa did not have availability. They were very accommodating to my needs during the process of booking and extremely patient with the deposit. We arrived to the hotel for our treatments and it was a very nice welcome. I requested to arrange a bottle of prosecco for our friends 40th which they did. The treatments itself was lovely. We had access to the hamman which we really enjoyed tho it was very hot so the option to come in and out was nice. We had our own private area which made a huge difference to come in and out. We then opted for the 25 mins facial which was amazing, wish it was a bit longer but felt great on our skin. I would definitely book it again. Thanks again for everything team Le Kalon

Our hammam experience was amazing! Rania and Michaela put in so much consideration into the treatment they provided. We even knocking oxlff during our massage... that is how good they were. Spa has amazing facilities too and is completely hijabi friendly! We will definately be returning.

Good service received from comfort when I visited the spa. Explained well and gave an excellent massage. Sauna was good and changing room was clean and tidy. They have a gym and also many other facilities like hamam that wasn’t visited on the day. I will go back another time and try it for sure.
