This 8s the place to stop for lunch when your doing sightseeing in the area. On the doorstep of the Royal Observatory Park. The service is fantastic and dog friendly. Staff is friendly and quick with service. And have the Meantime Lager. I like it alot

Good place, but a bit expensive. Chicken burger was good. They have good choice of cocktails, which I like. We were waiting for food for quite a long time, but they brought it all together for whole table

I’ve been living in Greenwich for more than 2 years, almost daily when I walk in the park I pass by the pub, and I never had gone for a meal there until today. I don’t know how took me so long to go here to eat. The menu is great, there are the tradicional pub food, and a whole different dishes. We got the burguer, super juicy. The lamb roast, massive portion, with gravy at the right measure. The meat was beautiful tender. And we got the chicken waffle, as good as you can think. I saw other dishes being delivered and all look very nice made and great presentation. I am sure I will be back to try other things in their menu. Also, they have a small outside garden, the tables in the street, and the indoor area has a very nice atmosphere.

I liked my food. My partner did not like hers. But the prices were way too high for what was basic food. £16 for a tasteless burger and a small portion of chips. £18 for cod and chips - or mash in my case. The mash was great. And the cod was fine. But at those prices, i don't think I'll be going back there.

This is a lovely little spot for lunch right by Greenwich park. The staff are super friendly and make great recommendations. Their mulled wine is the best mulled wine I have had yet so I would definitely recommend ordering it during the holiday season. Their nachos are also really good. Overall, it’s a very cozy and welcoming place.

On the server kept apologizing for being late but she was a fine. It was a nice place to sit and chill after a day of walking up the hill to see the observatory. It's Friday at the end of the trail and a perfect stopping point. The burger was good. Just a nice little respite.

We were a group of six stopping here for lunch. We found a table large enough in a dark corner, but the dishes we ordered were nicely served and really tasty. In addition to the normal pub meals there were also some interesting plates on the menu and we walked away well satisfied.

Such a pretty pub with a lot of potential, but we had a very mixed experience. Both ordered the Sunday roast. Portion sizes great with lots of veg, but the chicken was dry, potatoes rather flavourless and the gravy like water. On the other hand, my friend’s lamb roast was amazing and she said it was the best roast she’d ever had. Service was slow and the staff seemed incredibly distracted. We had to ask for everything: to place an order, for cutlery, for napkins, for the bill. Still, a 12.5pc service charge was added at the end - “added for parties of 2 or more”. We were also sat in an awkward place that didn’t lend for any atmosphere - sort of sat in a corridor next to the kitchen pickup area and the dog bowls. It was also deafeningly loud. Might be inclined to give it another go on the strength of my friend’s rave reviews of the lamb, but would definitely book, and avoid the chicken.

Ate here for lunch on a rainy day. The table ordered the vego burger, fish burger and the chicken with waffles. The vego burger was okay. Good feedback on the fish burger. I ate the chicken with waffles. I found the chicken to be cooked perfectly however none of the elements on the dish seemed to come together. It was just missing something. The service was good and they seemed understaffed but were managing.

This place is great. The staff were uncommonly friendly and they have a wonderful terrace and an outdoor/indoor garden with lovely fur blankets to keep cozy. The salmon dish was excellent 😋

Popped in for lunch, served quickly, the food was lovely and just the right amount. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Loved that they had dog bowls, fresh water and biscuits available, probably the most dog friendly place we have visited recently.

Greenwich Tavern is conveniently located in a great spot opposite Greenwich Park. A clean place with lots of space, both child and pet friendly. The quality of the food was okay. On the flip side, the reviews about the friendliness of some of the staff, the portion sizes of the food and the inability to accommodate a change to the food requests (eg, they have no real vegan options for kids, so you have to order from the main menu) is the reason this places gets a 2/5 from us. One would expect to be greeted with warmth and/or a smile. But this did not happen and had a rather unmotivated person serve us. Our child does not eat meat or fish, yet the there is no option on the children’s menu to accommodate this dietary requirement. On requesting the staff member to cater the plant based burger to the child, it was insisted that the price could not be adjusted for the child. What was interesting (given a large portion of the table ordered burgers), is that the portion sizes of the adult burgers were the same sizes as those of the adult burgers, with the adult burgers nearly twice the size. Overall, we doubt we will recommend or be back. Have suggested all these points to the staff to bring up to the management… hopefully things change for the better. Lastly, do not assume the menu online is the same as what is on offer. Case in point (on day of writing) website mentions offer of soup and bread, the menu at the venue does not offer this.

Booked a birthday party for last weekend and can't thank the staff here enough for how amazing they all were. Big thank you to Sasha for getting everything arranged and also to Alex and Freya. They were both amazing on the night, so friendly, so helpful and great fun too. Couldn't fault anything, we had an amazing night!

Expensive and a long wait for our drinks! Four of us went for Sunday roast on Easter Weekend. The first disappointment was that there were no ales on the hand pumps. We ordered our meals and drinks and the waitress asked us to pay in advance as they “had a lot of walk outs”. After I’d paid I noticed they had put 12.5% service charge on the bill. Then we waited over 20 minutes for our drinks…despite me asking where they were. No wonder they get walk outs! Plus it’s very expensive at almost £7 per pint. Having said that, the food was good. But I they need to sort the service out for the price that you pay. Expect a long wait and a big bill!

Unfriendly staff - had a fly in my cocktail, no apology or smile. Also unclear why the 2 for 1 happy hour doesn't work for alcohol-free cocktails - discrimination against people who don't drink...

Have been meaning to try this place. I recently moved to Greenwich and have seen this everytime I visit Greenwich park. The restaurant has great space inside and outside. Like the look and feel of it. I tried their Falafel platter, fries and black coffee. Black coffee was average in taste and could be better. Falafel platter was delicious. Although the falafel were slightly under cooked, so I could taste the raw taste of the batter. Fries were crispy and tasted really good. Few suggestions: Instead of serving fries in a plate like this, serve it in a basket or a wide plate because whenever I picked the fries, 1 or 2 always slipped out. Serving mayo and ketchup with fries in a steel dip bowl put me off. You could use ceramic one, that matches the set. The tissue/spoon holder was really cheap. You can do better. Presentation matters! It's not only the food but also the overall feel you get from the ambience and crockery and cutlery and the staff of course.

Absolute disaster. Honestly. I’m sat at our table writing this. We got here over an hour ago, waited 30 minutes just to put our order in, and are still waiting for our roasts to arrive. In the meantime, a different table arrived, ordered, got their food, ate, paid, and left. Now a different table that arrived after us has received their food before us. What an absolute joke. You’d think you’d capitalise on such a great location. Do yourself a favour. Eat elsewhere. Edit: the food finally got here. It’s pretty good to be fair, so I'll update my score accordingly.

Very convenient location outside the Maritime Museum & also the Royal Observatory just on up the hill. Enjoyed the fish & chips; the fish was a large generous filet. The thick fries weren’t necessarily all that crispy as expected ( not cooked enough?).

Sehr empfehlenswert. Wir hatten nur etwas getrunken.

One of my best Sunday roast in my life. I took the chicken option. Next time I go to London, I will be back the the rolled pork. The service was very friendly. They have a nice terrace at the back under the sun. They are family and dog friendly :)

This place is really a great stop after visiting the Observatory. My phone died, so I wasn’t able to snap any photos, but the service was great and the food was delicious. They even let me charge my phone near one of the registered while we ate. Very hospitable! Moses recommends the Greenwich Tarven especially when your stomach and your phone are empty.

nice pub close to greenwich park for a lunch break after visiting the line and the museum. Good atmosphere, music and food as expected (no surprise :-) tasted the sausages and the burger with some beers. In addition, nice christmas decoration at that time of the year.

After having visited Greenwich Observatory, you might want to stop at Greenfield Tavern right at the entrance of the Park. The interior of this place is very nice, note the copper plated tables. The tavern offers outside seating as well. The choice of food is - typical for a pub - not very wide but really good. Prices are like what one could expect at London. This place is worth a recommendation.

A great place for all thirsty and hungry visitors heading up to see the Greenwich Observatory. The pub is in a great location, right next to the Greenwich Park entrance, and the food served there did not disappoint, was very tasty!

Mid-week birthday, away from family and loved ones. All I wanted was a nice, safe place to read and treat myself to a drink. It was really lovely. Two of the ladies were especially nice, didn’t get either of their names but one had glasses on and we exchanged book recommendations! I want to thank them both for making me feel seen on my special day ♥️

Great food, great drinks - 2 part Guinness pour. The main selling point of this venue is the service. Came on a night with Alex & Grace looking after guests and their service was impeccable. Coming from a hospitality background myself I'm incredibly picky. These guys did not fail to deliver at any moment in time, this venue is lucky to have the both of them and its obvious they care a lot about their job and the venue. Huge well done, will be back soon!

Went to the Greenwich Tavern today for lunch. We were given a nice big table, great with 3 kids. Unfortunately it was near the bar food service area, very noisy. The waiter didn’t understand the order for real ale and had go to find out what to put on his pad. We ordered the kids meals to come at the same time as a sharing starter and main courses to follow. All meals arrived at the same time. We explained to the waitress that we had asked for the main course to come after our starter so they took them away and left them sitting in plain view at the end of the bar. When they were served to us they were, unsurprisingly, cold. I pointed this out to the supervisor who said she would change them. The beef had been heated on a griddle and it arrived complete with the stripes! That took another 15 minutes to come,by which time the kids were getting a bit fidgety. We were offered a round of drinks which we declined but they didn’t think to take off the round we already had. To rub salt in we had to ask for the service charge to be removed. The food itself was average.

Very nice port of call if you just visited Greenwich Park (which, by the way, provides a fantastic view of the city and gorgeous sunset view.. if that is your thing). Reasonable prices, good selection of drinks and very friendly staff

Great place with a lovely service. The food was good and overall we had a great time. It was a rather quiet experience, which we found to be very pleasing. Paying seperately was also no problem. Totally deserves a five star rating and i would absolutely recommend eating here if you get the chance.
