The food was tasty, very flavoursome. The staff was lovely and friendly but service was very slow. It is a tiny restaurant with a good vibe. I would give it another shot for sure I went back yesterday evening and it was incredible! 5 stars 🌟thanks Raymond and Mai

Awesome Starter was Devine, we were in anticipation of what was to come for the main. The main was off the rock we were too full to finish so we took the rest home. Very good portion size. By the time we get to the dessert we were full but the sticky toffee pudding was a warm blessing on the freezing night. Chef Raymond such an awesome young man May the Lord bless and keep you. Me and my friends visited Brixton today and came to RapChar for food based off a TikTok recommendation. I am so glad we did, the food was absolutely divine. It’s not far from the station, about a ten minute walk and it’s got a lovely vibe, very clean and calm atmosphere. Family friendly, staff are so smiley and welcoming. Mark and Mai were so lovely to speak to and take advice from about the menu, but Raymond was just on another level. Being the chef in this place, he is what is fuelling the energy with the amazing food he is creating. Every single bite was worth it and magical. If you are in Brixton and you want to try Jamaican food, please try RapChar. It’s Halal as-well which was a huge bonus for us. Thank you for such a lovely experience Raymond, I know this place will go far.

What an exceptional find. You think that all Caribbean food restaurant is the same and this restaurant here just proves that!!! Talk about exceptional service and wanting to go back again to try more dishes!!!! We started off with the scallops and let me just tell you, these have been the BEST scallops in my entire life, so buttery, with a nice balance with the cauliflower puree. But the hit was how they just melted in my mouth, will be going back for those soon for sure! Not only that the croqueta were very flavorful and crispy with a nice soft hit to them. Unfortunately the second plate (that we were sharing) took a bit longer but they made up for it with their amazing service and offered a complimentary glass of wine an side of prawns that were also cooked great and with amazing flavours. We finished off with the pasta and lobster tail with caviar, the balance of flavours were exquisite (you better like butter!), unfortunately the lobster but overcooked but just the whole experience with the service, atmosphere and great balance of flavours made up for it. We will be coming back and will continue to recommend to anyone!! Also - taking that their neighbour restaurant is always full and I have had horrible experience there hope people start going to them more!

My family and I got to experience a delicious dinner at RapChar while on vacation in London. The food was elevated caribbean food that rivaled my mother’s cooking. The macaroni and cheese was by far the best I’ve ever eaten(and I don’t say that lightly)! The Braised Ox(oxtail) was flavorful and tender. The interior was cozy and welcoming and the service was top notch. It’s a bummer we didn’t have time to visit again but I would definitely eat here again when we return to London.

The food was absolutely amazing with so much flavour in each dish. The pepper prawns were so good that we ended up getting another portion. I will definitely be recommending this restaurant to all my friends and family. Service was brilliant.

Dinned here for catch up with friends.(3/11/23) The seating area is small and well decorated. Once we were all seated our host welcomed us with drinks. Menu was great! Very hard to chose from the selection on offer. Great selection of fish and seafood. On this occasion the chef was unable to offer the usual staple of rice and peas (your secret is safe!) which made us choice other options which did not disappoint. The prawn risotto...chef kiss! The fish dishes were delicious. Desserts were polished off!! The service, great menu lovely evening. We will be back! Highly recommend 👌🏾

My sister and I went for lunch at Rapchar based on Google reviews and we are so glad we trusted the feedback. Our experience was so exceptional that I knew I had to return - booked dinner for 6 people before leaving the restaurant! Raymond (owner/chef) obviously loves cooking and presented us with a delicious vegetarian meal of chickpea curry, rice and peas, plantain, macaroni cheese, and the best festivals I have ever eaten in England! Mai, our waitress, was wonderful too, very attentive and polite. Can’t wait to return for more food and cocktails!

An amazing Christmas Day experience. What can I say about the experience which me and my partner had on Christmas Day 2023. Let's start off with the atmosphere. Because of its size it felt like we were with family, the other diners were friendly who all seemed to be regulars and the waitresses were all exemplary. Now the most important thing, the food! It was well presented, my partner said that she ate it with her eyes before she actually ate it. To start off we had a complementary glass of Sorrel (with rum if required), the rest of the courses were served in a timely manner and the service was always with a smile. The food was delicious which was served with complimentary turkey which was succulent. I would like to thank the Chef who is obviously very talented and takes pride in his work. This place is a gem and we can't wait to go back.

Me and 2 friends tried RapChar restaurant yesterday what a lovely cosy restaurant it was very clean and tidy the atmosphere was great. The Chef and his staff are so welcoming and friendly. Service was excellent food what can I say it was the best Caribbean I have had so tasty flavours amazing. I highly recommend RapChar I will be going back very soon.
